I'll stop you there. There is absolutely nothing wrong with paint, in fact i think it is tops for pixel art, when I was a pixel artist it was my program of choice, and if I ever started again, it still would be.

Remember, only a poor workman blames his tools.

The sprites themselves aren't horrible, especially for a first timer. The main problems are palette, lighting, shading technique and neatness. But with a bit of work, you'll get there.

I have to say to you but the head a bit lower so it looks more like a OW sprite, because now all pokemons look biggen than humans :P

These are good, but you didn't save in PNG. Always remember to save in PNG! The sprites will look much better if you do that.
Other than that, these are great!

Those are good but save them as png next time :)

I just have to say, work on the shading and you're good!

we dont have to tell the poor fella to save as png. a million times! Once is enough!

the snow town map is very plain looking, especially with all the white. you need to texture it up more. the other map is alright. The interiors are very plain, and need some more work in the wall and floor details.

the trainer sprites have to bad outling, they either need to be lightend or just redone in general. They are too dark and black right now.

I have to also agree with foxhound, ms paint is the best means of spriting. That is what i use, and it is great. It comes free on the computer, so that is a plus!

And that, my friends, is constructive critism.

Keep trying, and keep spriting!

I think they're VERY well done for a beginner. There are some minor mistakes, but othr than that, they look fine. All you need is some more practice, and you've got a good sprite.
