Starcraft Wars

So... yeah. Wanted to make a team with LO Cune in it, got a friend, we made it. I gave 'em a few Starcrafty names 'cause I'm hooked right now and waiting for the sequel. So... rate, kthnx. =D

http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/jirachi.pnghttp://ui25.gamespot.com/280/ss10hires_2.jpg

Jirachi @ Lum Berry - Protoss Immortal
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 240 HP/56 Atk/76 Def/136 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Wish
- U-turn
- Thunder
- Zen Headbutt
---

Yeah, that lead Wish Jirachi. Provides much-needed bulk and gives an artful way to deal with Yanmega (in a few cases, Azelf), and such. Bronzong gives a bit of a problem, but there's one problem, but I hear it's all the rage for them to Explode... or something, so hopefully it's not a problem for too long, may have to sacrifice something to Sleep the old-fashioned way.

Celebi @ Leftovers - Terran Medic
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/220 Def/36 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Recover
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Ice]
---

Yeah, Celebi. Gyara counter, makeshift DDMence counter, and so on. Does it better than Suicune does (voluntarily), so...

Salamence @ Life Orb - Zerg Guardian
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 224 HP/12 Atk/196 Def/76 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- Roost
---

Yeah, BulkyMence. Works fine if it gets going anyways, and really does the job when battling Lucario and Hera, so it should go fine.

http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/heatran.pnghttp://it.hule.harryda.se/itda06/simhed/Starcraft/unit-ultralisk.jpg

Heatran @ Choice Scarf - Zerg Ultralisk
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 20 HP/236 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock/Explosion
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
---

I've sorta been considering ReSTalk to help with sleepers, but it's a Scarfer for those darnded other things. Stealth Rock's to help, because it's cool like that. Completes Celetran, and not much more to say.

http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/heracross.pnghttp://www.geocities.com/paltolor/goliath.jpg

Heracross @ Salac Berry - Terran Goliath
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
---

Gogo MoPCross! Yeah, this thing looks interesting (i herd u dont need clothes combat). I'm hoping to go for a sweep (and hoping the opponent doesn't have a Gliscor on him). This should be good.

http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/suicune.pnghttp://nuclearlaunchdetected.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/reaver_070712.jpg

Suicune @ Life Orb - Protoss Reaver
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Calm Mind
---

And, of course, Life Orb Suicune. Wouldn't be a team without this incredibly difficult-to-counter threat to the metagame. Absolute beast.

So... rate? =D

OH MAI GAWD, WHAT TEH FU-

SWARM?! Are you trying to lose due to a burn?

Magmortified September 15th, 2008 6:32 PM

I dunno, I just put it in from the analysis 'cause I was tired. But, yeah, after a practice match I'll definitely want Guts... if only 'cause Toxic Spikes are all the rage or something.

sims796 September 15th, 2008 6:34 PM

Yeah, that's why I hate Toxic Spikes. If you had a Vileplume to absorb it, it wouldn't matter, but whatev's.

MATTFO0 September 15th, 2008 7:46 PM

dude starcraft 2 is gonna be hella sick. i love dat game.

team looks good to me lol

Archer September 15th, 2008 9:43 PM

Jirachi doesn't really work that well as a lead. It's slow, can't do jack about SR and Wish is useless when all your team members are at full health.

Careful with MoPCross. It can work but it needs to Set up the Sub on a switch, or it's just losing coverage.

It can deal with Azelf, Yanmega, and Weavile to an extent. =S Jirachi's not a perfect lead, but it's pretty much the best I've going lead-wise... unless maybe ScarfTran counts as an acceptable lead? =P

Hasn't been a problem yet. The most infuriating thing so far is underestimating damage taken from Earthquake. =P

Magmortified September 17th, 2008 9:32 PM

Erm... for some reason, my teams never seem to get very many rates. I'm fairly sure it's not that good. =P

Also, calling to attention a number of minor changes, such as TWave on Celebi, Adamant Hera, Jolly Mence, and Zen Headbutt on Jirachi (used to be Body Slam... just don't ask).

Honestly? I think we're all a bit sick of rating Standard OU Teams with no real aim or spark of Idea. That means we're left to find obvious weaknesses, which your team seems to lack.

So, really, it's a good team and there's not alot to say. VM Aquilae or some others if you really need a rate.

Aquilae September 17th, 2008 11:33 PM

Without Swarm MoPCross isn't getting past Gliscor unless Guts activates (Sub + 12% / increasing Toxic damage isn't preferable at all). One thing that strikes me is the Ttar weakness (standard DDtar is going to cause major problems and there isn't a reliable switchin to CBtar). I also feel that Blissey and Snorlax will pose problems as 4/6 of your team (including your main sweeper) are walled by Bliss.

I would recommend putting Leech Seed onto Celebi instead of Thunder Wave for more durability on a whole, and that you replace MoPCross with another sweeper capable of taking Thunder Wave and switching into Ttar, YacheChomp would be what I would suggest but its banned so -_-

An alternative is to replace Heatran with another Scarfer that can revenge DDtar, and replacing Hera with something capable of dealing with Azelf. Maybe Tyranitar (doesn't mind Twave that much), and use a faster Scarfer?

Archer September 18th, 2008 1:53 AM

Aquilae, although that is true about MoPCross, Tox Spikes will hit it regardless. You may as well make use of it.

Aquilae September 18th, 2008 2:53 AM

I don't understand, Toxic is situational and in most cases won't even be on teams while Swarm is always there and assures a 2HKO on Gliscor with Megahorn after +6...

Archer September 19th, 2008 12:44 AM

I just meant if Toxic Spikes is there, it will hit regardless of wether you have Guts or Swarm.
