I put into attack to try Shadow Sneak. This one walls both types of attacks,
and is why I tried to balance his sp.def and def.Otherwise, you can go Adamant/Impish/Careful with 128/128 into both defenses and 252 HP.
I couldn't resist base 100 attack.

Swap Blaziken with Infernape. Blaziken is too slow for mixed sweeper, the only reason Infernape < Blaziken is Salac Reversal Blaziken but it needs weather support.

If you want to use MixGross try this set
[email protected]Life Orb
Naughty
EVs: 252 Atk, 132 Spe, 125 SpAtk
Earthquake
Meteor Mash
Grass Knot
Hidden Power Fire/Hidden Power Ice

All out attacking MixMence

Mild(+SA -DEF)
120 Atk, 252 SA 136 Spd
Brick Break
Draco Meteor
Fire Blast
Stone Edge/Earthquake/Hidden Power Ice

PhyswallNoir, since you already have spec one
[email protected]Leftovers
Impish(+DEF -SA)

Well, I'll give weather support to Blazer(Not gonna change it-ma trademark)
I need SD's for Meta.(Why Change Psychic?)

The other suggestions you gave were ok.

1. Your other 5 team doesnt get any advantage from sunny day. if you want to keep him in your team give him Choice Scarf.
2. Psychic has bad type coverage. Grass Knot and Hidden Power Ice/Fire could break physical walls like Skarmory, Bronzong, Gliscor, Hippowdon, Forretress, Etc.

Psychic is a horribly move on Metagross. Zen Headbutt is far superior, and even that sucks. I personally use Choice Band Metagross:

Metagross @ Choice Band
Adamant
244 HP/252 Att/14 Def
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Explosion/Thunderpunch/Ice Punch/Pursuit
Explosion/Thunderpunch/Ice Punch/Pursuit

iDeathNote September 23rd, 2008 4:35 AM

^^^^ I second that although not sure I would put explosion there, especially if its defense isn't all that great. :)

sims796 September 23rd, 2008 6:21 AM

So. It has no way of recovery. It will soon get in a position where it will be near death, so it'll go out with a bang. Choice Band Explosion truly hurts.

It has Base 130 Defense. How is that "not all that great" ?

Don't ask, although it's ground weakness tends to subtract from it's bulkiness.

I'm guessing that Celebi's weakness to Bug, Fire, Ice, Dark, Ghost, Poison, and Flying makes it unable to wall as efficiently, huh?

Standard DD Gyarados rips this team ._. I'd replace Metagross for something to switch in on the Gyarados (Swampert)

. September 24th, 2008 4:24 PM

How can Swampert switch into Gyarados? It doesn't resist any of it's moveset, and it can't hurt it besides Roar or Stone Edge (BulkyGyara negates the first option)

Doesn't Swampy get Thunderpunch in Platinum? Swampert does resist Stone Edge/Waterfall from Gyara

I don't know about Thunderpunch, but if you actually took time to read what I said, you'd see that Swampert doesn't resist any of it's moveset (besides Stone Edge, which is pretty rare now) Waterfall hits it for neutral.

Stone Edge is.. rare now? Most movesets have Stone Edge in combination to hit anything on the Ground, don't they?

Yes, Waterfall does it for neutral, I was absent minded at that time apparently (which.. I seem to be increasing by frequency)

I have taken the time to read what you have said, I responded correspondantly to what you've said in my quote, explained in the above why I foolishly assumed Waterfall is resisted ._.

What? He never said anything like that. All hhe said was Meta's ground weakness subtracts from it's bulkiness, which it does. He never said that it becomes uneffecient, but he only mentioned that although Meta is bulky, that Ground weakness holds it back.

Same thing with Celebii. Although it is a good wall, a weakness to Bug, Fire, Ice, Dark, Ghost, Poison, & Flying hurts it's walling abilities.

On this set, I would consider Shadow Sneak over one of the Punches. It doesn't really matter which, as far as loosing coverage, neither Gyara nor the dragons will be very happy about WoW. Shadow Sneak has priority which can come in very handy against faster opponents, and providing you with a little source of quick damage, although the punches will usually do more damage.

sims796 September 24th, 2008 6:14 PM

His team is Gya weak, so use Shadow Sneak over Ice Pawch. Gya are capable of Taunting you before a WoW.

I'm Sims, and I'm a DRUID!!!!!

What's your game?
