I always hate being limited to the 20 Pokemon of the OU tier, so I always add BL and UU Pokemon.

http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn129/konoha_traitor/Infernape.png
@ Life Orb
Blaze
Naive
24 Atk/ 232 Spe/ 252 SpA
Flamethrower
Close Combat
Grass Knot
Hidden Power Ice

An all-out attacking Infernape. Used as my Mixed Sweeper.

http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn129/konoha_traitor/Hitmonlee.png
@ Salac Berry
Limber
Jolly
252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 SpD
Close Combat
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Blaze Kick

Do not bash the Hitmonlee. He has never let me down in an OU battle. I even came back from a 3-1 deficit in an OU battle with him, so he is staying. Anyway, he is used as my Physical Sweeper.

http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn129/konoha_traitor/Kingdra.png
@ Mystic Water
Swift Swim
Naughty
252 Spe/ 252 SpA/ 4 SpD
Rain Dance
Surf
Ice Beam
Hidden Power Electric

Used as my Special Sweeper. I use Rain Dance to activate Swift Swim, which boosts Kingdra's speed stat to 538 for 5 turns. I was thinking of adding a Damp Rock so the rain lasts for 7 turns instead of 5, but I voted against it because Kingdra usually only lasts 5-6 turns.

http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn129/konoha_traitor/Roserade.png
@ Focus Sash
Natural Cure
Timid
4 HP/ 252 Spe/ 252 SpA
Sleep Powder
Toxic Spikes
Grass Knot
Hidden Power Fire

Used as my lead. Puts opponent to sleep with Sleep Powder and then sets up Toxic Spikes.

http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn129/konoha_traitor/Snorlax.png
@ Chesto Berry
Thick Fat
Careful
244 HP/ 236 SpD/ 28 Def
Rest
Sleep Talk
Body Slam
Crunch

I use Rest and recover my HP when it gets low. Chesto Berry wakes me up. I want to get rid of Sleep Talk. Any ideas? Used as a Special Wall.

http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn129/konoha_traitor/Registeel.png
@ Leftovers
Clear Body
Relaxed
252 HP/ 200 SpD/ 56 Def
Earthquake
Ice Punch
Thunderbolt
Explosion.

Used as my Mixed Wall. I use explosion when I am about 1/4 HP to take them with me.

So, that is my team. Comment, rate, make suggestions, the works. Thanks for your help.

Standard. I dislike lack of NP though, but that's just me.

OMGWTFUBER. Use Sucker Punch (if Platinum changes are in order) If not...um, sure...

@ Mystic Water
Swift Swim
Naughty
252 Spe/ 252 SpA/ 4 SpD

Is it really smart to have this in a team with Infernape? Please...Either use the DD set, or don't use this at all.

Kingdra @ Lum Berry/Life Orb/Leftovers
Jolly
252 Att/252 Spe/6 HP
Dragon Dance
Outrage
Waterfall
Return/Substitute

Only can be used in Platinum.

@ Focus Sash
Natural Cure
Timid
4 HP/ 252 Spe/ 252 SpA
Sleep Powder
Toxic Spikes
Grass Knot
Hidden Power Fire

If this is your lead, put it in the front. Standard stuff.

What...DON'T USE CHESTORESTO PLEASE. Use Leftovers >>> Chesto Berry. Lefties is essential for Lax's survival.

http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn129/konoha_traitor/Registeel.png
@ Leftovers
Clear Body
Relaxed
252 HP/ 200 SpD/ 56 Def
Earthquake
Ice Punch
Thunderbolt
Explosion.

Use Stealth Rock >>> Thunderbolt. You lack it, which is essential for every team.

Sorry to tell you, but Hitmonlee isn't going to cut it. Physically offensively, you're massively weak, and unable to handle a load of physical walls. I'd advise CBHeracross to take out the load of them. I'd also reccomend Scarftran over Registeel w/ SR.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Timid
42 HP/252 SpA/216 Spe
Fire Blast
Earth Power
HP Ice
Stealth Rock

Helps out your team.

Pretty much everything was said by vance, however i cant help but notice you have a HUGE weakness to threats like Gyarados, Salamence, and Tyranitar who can DD up and 6-o you.

Mach punch >> Blaze Kick with a Life Orb or even a Choice Band would be very useful i feel here on Hitmonlee to help with Tyranitar.

As for the latter two maybe Bronzong would work >> Registeel. Who also kinda softens your Tyranitar weakness too.

Kingdra, as said isnt doing anything here bar making your Infernape useless and funnily makes you even MORE Gyarados weak .It could be replaced by a Standard Wish Passing or possibly specs Vaporeon. Who counters Gyarados too =).

Cresselia stalls your entire team. Realistically, the only way you're beating that thing is with Explosion from Registeel.

You also don't have a switch into what is perhaps the most common attack in the game in Earthquake. A powerful Earthquake from the likes of Mamoswine or CBmence will absolutely crush your team. It's so defensively inadequate that Hitmonlee and Kingdra will not have the time to set up and do any damage. I can see stuff like DDtar 6-0ing this team.

It also seems to lack any sort of synergy. You have Rain Dance Kingdra on the same team as Infernape and HP Fire Roserade. You have no resistance or immunity to Earthquake and your sweepers are honestly very weak. Everything you have is walled by a bulky water except Roserade, and that can't even switch in.

I would consider a serious revamp of this team. Get pokemon that support each other better and have a central strategy (which this team seems to lack). Doing that alone will help this team greatly.

Why, may I ask, did you put Naughty on Kingdra and not give him any sort of Physical Attack? That nature is for ones that pack Waterfall I believe, so you might want to give him Modest with that set.

4th Gen Matt October 1st, 2008 3:36 PM

You don't understand. I can't change any Pokemon in this team because I have to go by a certain tier in a league I am in.

So any suggestions without changing the actual team members?

Um...Then what's the point of posting this RMT? It obviously needs work, and if you can't change the Pokes, then don't bother posting the RMT.
