Shuckle @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 129 Def / 129 SDef
Calm Nature (+Def, -Atk/SAtk)
- Rest
- Toxic
- Safeguard
- Wrap / Bide

It's a lot easier to take down Shuckle with a status ailment: safeguard helps in that regard. Use Wrap if you want to prevent the opponent's escape or Bide if you want to deter the opponent from using direct, damaging attacks (I haven't tested the Bide set, so I'm not sure how great it works).

Shuckle @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 129 Def / 129 SDef
Calm Nature (+Def, -Atk/SAtk)
- Rest
- Toxic
- Substitute
- Double Team

Use Substitute to prevent the use of status ailments, and use Double Team while the opponent is poisoned. Always keep a substitute up even if you've used Double Team six times.

Shell Bell only recovers HP to your monster with regards to how much direct damage you have done to your opponent. Indirect damage, caused by poison et cetera, does not count toward restoring your HP.

The rest of your team looks alright, apart from Kecleon. Its Speed just stinks. There's no point in wasting EVs in Speed.

These were the best I could think of:

Kecleon @ Choice Band
Trait: Color Change
EVs: 150 HP / 180 Def / 180 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Trick
- Thunder Wave
- Seismic Toss
- Counter

You might as well use your lower PhDf to your advantage with Counter.

Kecleon @ Quick Claw
Trait: Color Change
EVs: 150 HP / 160 Atk / 100 Def / 100 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Focus Punch
- Shadow Ball
- Return
- Substitute

There's not much to say about this one.
Edit: Return could be replaced with something else. It was just filler. You likely won't get the STAB bonus from it, anyway.

Shuckle can learn Substitute?
What can i do to have it?

Thanks for the precious advices

Toothache August 21st, 2004 5:57 AM

You need to transfer Shuckle to Fire Red or Leaf Green and find the Move Tutor for Substitute.

EttoreG August 21st, 2004 6:11 AM

But the Attack BIDE, is influenced by the Attacking Stats or no?

Toothache August 21st, 2004 6:21 AM

Bide isn't affected by attacking stats no. How it works is, for 2 turns you take damage, and at the end of the second turn, your opponent takes double the damage that you've suffered. It used to be Brock's old trick (and TM) back on Red/Blue/Yellow, now he has Rock Tomb instead.

Frostweaver August 21st, 2004 6:23 AM

Bide = "let's dragon dance safely for 2 turns!"

Don't use moves that get you stuck in anytime... even and especially ingrain.

EttoreG August 21st, 2004 6:39 AM

Yeah, you have reason frost...

You have some advices for my Shuckle?
And what do you think about my Kecleon?

Ice demon August 21st, 2004 7:00 PM

Kecleon
-
if u skill swap and attack with return then they would become a normal type which resists shadow ball........

as for Ludicolo i would use
Ludicolo[calm]
EVs - SpDef, hp, SpAtt
dive
rest
rain dance
toxic/leech seed

the bat should do some annoyance IMO
but his attack can support that i guess.........

Toothache August 21st, 2004 11:32 PM

I'd rather use this for Ludicolo:

[email protected]
Nature: + Def, - Att
EV: HP, Def, Sp Def
Leech Seed
Toxic
Protect
Ice Beam

Meh, it's pretty standard (apart from Ice Beam to hit other grass types, which are immune to seeding).

Frostweaver August 21st, 2004 11:53 PM

Personally, I'll even throw away toxic for giga drain =) Ice beam is also a must-have attack for me. Being too dependent on leech seed is never a good thing.

Ice demon August 22nd, 2004 6:56 PM

Thats true frosty
leech seed is great but not something one should totally depend on.....

ice beam on ludicolo > than giga drain IMO
Leech seed > toxic
