Eh? I feel old
I am a 21 year old with about 10 years of Pokemon experience under my belt. I got the blue version back when it first came out and was just addicted from that point on! When the first movie came out in theaters I was all over it (I think I still have my promotional Mew card...) I even have the cards and those old pokeballs that BK gave away. I just have one problem! I never got into anything after Gold and Silver. I guess I was afraid of any number over 250 ;p. But I am about to take a bold step and wander into the world of Diamond and see what happens. Yes in the next few weeks I plan on picking up a copy of this sexy looking game and powering my way through it and I hope all you fine pokefans will join me on this! I look forward to making some awesome friends on here. I really do!
I am from Michigan and have a nerdy job, nerdy friends and even a nerdy cat. I also <3 Oddish. :P |
Hello TTH, you'll definatly make lotsa friends here, and also I usually never consider anything nerdy, really.
|
Trust me you'll love Diamond and or Pearl they're good games in my opinoin.
|
Welcome TTH! That's a nice intro you have there :)
Don't worry, you'll make friends in no time! Just be sure not to get in arguments ;) I hope you will enjoy it here. Have fun posting! |
Welcome to PC, TTH! Don't worry, we have quite a few older members here, so you're definitely not alone. It's hard to outgrow a game as awesome as pokemon! It's nice that you've been into pokemon for so long...I suppose I'm a 10 year veteran myself =P
You'll definitely enjoy diamond! Memorizing all 490+ pokemon won't be too difficult =P Make sure you read the rules/FAQ, as it will answer many questions that you might have, I will most certainly see you around! Have fun! |

Hello, TTH welcome aboard!
As Aurasphere said, there are quite a few "older" members here, I'm one of them. *Points at age* I've liked Pokemon ever since it came out here in the US. But anyways, before I start to ramble, welcome and enjoy your stay here with us! |
Lol. You should get pearl. But Diamond is good. Anyway, welcome to PC! =]
|
hey wlcome TTH x) ya I've been playing pokemon about 10 yrs myself
when I first joined here not too long ago I was afraid I'd be like one of the oldest ppl on here but I'm not so I was like yay! :) but ya if you're looking to get any of the new pokemon games I'd go with Diamond. I bought Pearl and now I wish I would have bought Diamond. Or you can wait for Platinum to come out in the Us. Anyways Welcome To PC ;) hope you have fun |
I'm in the same boat as you, age 21 Haven't played Pokemon since Red, just bought a DS recently, and loving Pokemon Diamond. Hope you have a good time here.
|
21? Get out. Just Get Get Out grrr Joke =].
Anyway, welcome to Pokecommunity I'm sure loads of people would love to be friends with you don't worry about your age. I'm sure you'll be a great asset to the forum =P. Read the rules, have fun and post loads. |
Welcome to PC, TTH!
Hopefully these forums aren't TMTH for you. (Had to do it. =P) I know you'll have oodles of fun! Just be sure to read the rules, and play it safe. And you'll have a great time! Well, TTFN! (Acronyms galore. XD;) |
Ahhaha. Old Pokemon fans FTW. Have you yet discovered how hilarious the anime is when you're drunk?
Seriously, though, welcome to PC. It's totally cool if you've just stopped at GSC. The old school games were awesome. Still, good luck with the world of Diamond. It's not so bad, really. (Although I hope you consider giving the Advanced Gen a try. They're cool in their own right too, and anyway, you've got an excuse with Diamond's Pal Park. Maybe it's just me, but that thing is addictive.) |

I think I did a shots game with the first few episodes and it just got funnier and funnier. :D I will have to pick up the Advanced ones. I think Ruby might be the one for me then! |
JEEZ YOU'RE SO OLD. :(
Haha, I jest. :P It's nice to see a mature Pokémon fan stop by! Congrats on getting back into the series; there have been a LOT of changes since GSC but you sound like quite the dedicated fan, so I'm sure you'll adapt quite quickly. If you are going to end up picking up one of the GBA games, I would suggest Emerald though--it's kind of the definitive version of the Ruby/Sapphire generation. More extras were added to make the experience longer and more enjoyable so it's probably your best bet there, though Ruby on its own is still pretty good. (Third gen was my least favourite though. D:) Also haha, a drinking game for the first few episodes, you say? Sounds like fun! At any rate, welcome to PC. Hope you enjoy it here! |
