Life Orb | OU | RMT
Right, so this team has lost once on Wi-Fi I'm also a complete wi-fi newby and only started a few days ago, but I feel I'm catching on well =). It really makes a difference when Azelf & Weaville do their bit, and also when Vire can sweep the place up, after my special combo... THE TEAM http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn184/McDukey/Spr_4p_482.pnghttp://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn184/McDukey/461.pnghttp://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/0/05/Spr_4p_130_m_s.pnghttp://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/b/b9/466.pnghttp://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/7/74/Spr_4p_485_s.pnghttp://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpmfa/dpmfa248.png http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/azelf.png Azelf @ Life Orb Naive Levitate 4 Atk / 252 Sp Atk / 252 Spe - Explosion - Stealth Rock - Psychic - Fire Blast OK, obviously, my lead, always sets up stealth rocks, and takes most hits. Can 0HKO Electivire w/ Explosion and 2HKO's Bronzong w/ Fire Blast. Really have no Idea what Item I should give it so I just gave it Life Orb for some extra power. It Really doesn't need to be here, and hasn't done much, any changes of movsets or the pokemon overall will be taken. http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/weavile.png Weavile @ Life Orb Jolly Pressure 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe - Night Slash - Ice Shard / Ice Punch - Pursuit - Brick Break Not much too say about it, except what I said at the start, It really helps the team if this thing can take a few poke's down. It 1HKO's or 2HKO's Blissey with Brick Break and can 0HKO Salamence with Ice Shard. http://www.arkeis.com/images/shinies/s_gyarados.png Gyarados @ Life Orb Adamant Intimidate 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe - Earthquake - Ice Fang - Waterfall - Dragon Dance Just a standard Gyarados that is a huge part of my team, I have gotten rid of his electric weakness by either outspeeding them, or switching to electivire if they pull in an obvious T-Bolter. http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/heatran.png Heatran @ Life Orb Modest Flash Fire 40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe - Fire Blast - Dark Pulse - Dragon Pulse - Earth Power Its basically choice without the specs here, life orb works better her than choice specs, as when they bring out a Focus Blaster to revenge kill (Gengar, Deoxys) I can hit them with Dark Pulse. Generally is brought out later in the game, or too support Weavile. http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/electivire.png Electivire @ Life Orb Adamant Motor Drive 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe - Cross Chop - Ice Punch - Thunder Punch - Earthquake Just an average Electivire here, probably the biggest part of my team when I succesfully set up my combo with him & Gyarados. He basically sweeps, nothing more or less. http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/tyranitar.png Tyranitar @ Life Orb / Choice Band Adamant Sand Stream 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD - Crunch - Pursuit - Stone Edge - Earthquake Just Smogon's Choice Band Tyranitar, he is only brought out very late at the game, and also works well if heatran is left aswell, Nothing Special... yet (I've only had to use him once, in which I made a big mistake to use pursuit) ~~~~~ Yeah well thats my team... It really needs someone one deal out some status effects, even though I don't benefit from them... |
I have to rate quick (G2G), I would suggest having Azelf hold a focus sash, because a popular lead for battles is yanmega and it could OHKO, that azelf bafore it could do anything. Really I keep checking over this team and I see NO weaknesses what so ever... Maybe a flash cannon coulld work on that Heatran... Ummm... Can weavile have levitate?? Must be a typo...

Azelf : -
Sash the Azelf and use Taunt >> Fire Blast or Bronzong etc can still set up. 252 ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 SP.ATT @Naive. Heatran : - Eww Dark Pulse sucks since even when its super effective a neutral fire blast does the same damage lol. Use Will-o-wisp or Toxic to stop most bulky waters switching in and use a Choice Scarf and Timid max sp.att / max speed since Lucario pretty much poops on you, this would at least allow you to revenge kill it =/. Hidden power Ice >> Dragon pulse or you wont OHKO Dragons. Electivire : - DD LO Gyarados 6-0's you Electivire DOES NOTHING for this team (Surprise >_>), so use Deoxys imo >> it since it can revenge kill said Gyarados and a whole lot more threats. [email protected] Orb / Expert Belt 160 att / 252 sp.att / 96 speed. Naive Nature - Super Power - ice Beam - Thunderbolt - Psychic Tyranitar poops on you too as nothing can take its attacks , Lucario works as a check >> your own Tyranitar since all he does it damage the rest of your team bar Heatran with SS. [email protected] Band 252 ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 HP Adamant Nature - Close Combat - Bullet Punch - Crunch - Stone Edge / Ice Punch. Not digging weavile,as i feel the slot could be put to better use, but meh. Quote:

I didn't know Weavile could Levitate :o
I'd use Ice Shard over Ice Punch on it as you can outspeed DDMence that way. For a self-proclaimed newby, you've done all right. But this team does have its weaknesses, which D_A touched on. Take his advice, you should be fine. |
Okay, here's the rate.
First off, Weavile has Pressure, not Levitate. Second, Focus Sash on Azelf, aswell as Taunt. Taunt, then SR, the if you have 1 HP, Explosion. Third, Electivire is killing nothing except for the occasional slow Gyarados. As Dark_Azelf said, use Deoxys-S. Revenge kills and gets rid of a ton of weaknesses. Lastly, CB on Tyranitar. |
sorry bout the levitate typo...
Also when you say Deoxys D_A, do you mean Deoxys Speed? |

No rock resist means Tyranitar, mainly DDTar rips apart this team. A single DD is all needed to outrun your entire team bar Weavile, who is lol in all honesty.
I would go Rest-Talk Machamp >> CBTar, since your team cannot take status at all. |
My Gyarados, just waterfalls T-Tar, It has happened...
Awww, why LOL at the Weavile it is basically my ghost/psychic counter... except for deoxys he pwns weaville with focus blast... Has anybody got any ideas at what I should use for a lead??? I hate using focus sash, becuz it would have only come in handy once, and even then I could have switched out! most of the time he can take a hit |
Quote:
Umm the idea on focus sash on lead azelf is the whole point of the set, aka set up stealth rock and stop foes setting up and then die, nothing more and nothing less. Its not meant to last long. Hence the logic behind the name "Suicide Lead". |

It seems as if you don't want to take ANY constructive criticism at all. However, your team is massively TTar weak. |
Oh okay, sorry I meant, if T-Tar switches in on Gyarados i waterfall him.
But I am taking the critism I am gonna test out a team with all ure ideas very soon. wtf?! I don't even see that comment from -umbreon anywhere... must have deleted it. Anyways, thnx for the comments, na d as I said, Tyranitar had no real use in this team at the moment, and has only been used once, so I was definately gonna switch him |

|
lol it was his last pokemon, anyways, as I said I'm taking the advice, I just forgot too say anything... should I edit the first post with your suggestions once I test them out?
|
I'd like to see that, but you could test it out before you do, if you'd like.
|
yer thats wat I planning on doing, I'm a little sketchy on Deoxys though as electivire does heeps for my team, I'll test deoxys, if he works, I'll use him, but if he's not sweeping like 4 of the other teams pokemon, like electivire did then he's gone.
I'm proud that I had a comment saying that my electivire is hacked, cause that must be a sign that he pwns. anyways, I'm sounding nooby so I'll stop |
Very frail...a boosted anything is gg for you. This team isn't just T-tar weak. It's Dragon Dance weak. You may want to consider some walls and tanks or just anything that could take a boosted hit, instead of just 6 random OUs. By the way, a counter is defined as anything that can safely switch in and pose and immediate threat.
and I'd ignore anyone that accuses electivire of being unfair o.0. It's quit bad actually.. |
"Electivire does heaps for your team?"
He can't even OHKO Skarmory with Thunderpunch. Gliscor still lives through an Ice Punch. Weezing goes OLOLOLOLOL at him. Dusknoir and Cressy also wall him with ease. Hippowdon isn't even 2HKO'd with Ice Punch, and he has Earthquake to shut Vire down. Not to mention, Duggy easily revenge kills him, as does ScarfTran. That really seems like "heeps for your team." |
All I'm saying is that he has been the biggest part of it so far, and I haven't really come up against many of those, as I said I haven't had too many battles yet, so I haven't got much experience...

Skarmory's usage is down and MixVire with Thunderbolt/Flamethrower is a different story. Gliscor is always a threat, but it can't switch in on an Ice Punch/HP Grass and then proceed to take another before hitting back. Weezing is UU now, so I doubt we'll see much usage. He won't like Repeated TBolts... Dusknoir and Cressy do indeed give it problems, although they can be dealt with to an extent with Pursuit on Weavile. Hippowdon hates the afformentioned HP Grass (which has made it's way into several sets, of late.) Dugtrio and ScarfTran both provide issues for it, although they will both have a hard time taking it down if it manages to get it's Motor Drive Boost. I'm not saying the above are all threats, but it's not quite as much 'doom and gloom' as people make out. That said, the Physical Set just sucks. MixVire for the win. |
The Physical set is what he's using though.
Though granted, the mixed set isn't that bad. |
Yes I have been thinking bout the mixed set, the ThunderPunch just isn't a strong enough stab move
