Haven't posted in a while.. RMT just got back into pokemon

Hey what's up? You guys probably don't remember me. I used to make RMTs all the time. Soo anyway, I just got back into pokemon.

Ze' Team:

Yanmega@Wise Glasses
Speed Boost
Modest
252 spatk/252 spe/6 def
- Protect
- Air Slash
- Bug buzz
- Shadow Ball

So right now you're probably thinking.. where's hypnosis? Screw hypnosis, I went for something different no one ever uses. Shadow ball covers Dusknoir, Gengar, and other random psychic/ghost types. Protect for speed boost, Air Slash for STAB, Buzzin' for STAB. It works as a fabulous lead. I love it. It's lead basically for Stealth Rock cause those kill Yanmega..

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpmba/dpmba214.png
Hercules@Choice Scarf
Guts
Adamant
252 atk/252 spe/6 hp
- Megahorn
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Heracross is my #1 favorite pokemon. It covers the special walls that would wall yanmega to death (Snorlax, Bliss, Regice). Earthquake also covers steel types (Metagross, Emploeon, Magnezone) that would also destory yanmega. If you didn't know, with choice scarf Hera is pushing 403 speed and 383 atk stats, which in all terms, is very dangerous and speedy.

Dusknoir@Leftovers
Pressure
Impish
252 hp/252 def/6 SpDef
- Fire Punch
- Will-o-wisp
- Ice Punch
- Shadow Sneak

This pokemon is basically filler. Will o wisp for some burn support, Ice punch and fire punch for type coverage, and Shadow Sneak basically for Deoxys-E that would usually kill my team. Not much to say here, just 100% tank.

http://pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpmba/dpmba386.png
Deoxys-E@Expert Belt
Pressure
Hasty
252 spatk/60 spd/180 atk
- T-Bolt
- Shadow Ball
- Super power
- Psychic

Deoxys-E is my revenge killer. Thunder bolt for Gyara, Shadow ball for Cress/Dusknoir, Super power to 2ko bliss and psychic for STAB. It's awesome, I love him. So great so far.

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpmba/dpmba482.png
Azelf@Life Orb
Levitate
Naive
252 spatk/252 spe/6 hp
- Psychic
- Explosion
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower

All out attacking Azelf. I needed some elemental attacks in my team, so here it is. Psychic = STAB, Grass knot for hippodown, swampert, bulky waters, thunderbolt for gyarados, and flamethrower for the steels. I'm thinking of also slapping some choice specs on this, but i'm not sure.

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpfba/dpfba242.png
Blissey@Leftovers
Serene Grace
Bold
252 hp/200 def/56 Spatk
- Flamethrower
- Thunder Wave
- Thunder Bolt
- Softboiled

Special Attacks EVs for surprise moves and offence. Basically filler again, I just needed something to take special attacks.

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpfba/dpfba472.png
Gliscor@Leftovers
Sand Veil
Impish
252 hp/252 def/6 atk
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Knock Off
- Aerial Ace

Gotta love the Batman. Earthquake is STAB, Roost for recovery, Knock Off for item showings and removing, and Aerial Ace is for Heracross. Self Explanatory.

That's my team, rate it.

Zetta-Chan October 17th, 2008 4:38 PM

Yanmega- Wise Glasses > Focus Sash. With all these hail storms, sandstorms, and fake outs you have a better chance with Wise Glasses.

Heracross- One suggestion. Maybe, put Night Slash > EQ. You really have nothing to deal with ghosts. Just my input though.

Dusknoir- Pain Split > Fire Punch. You already have enough fire support, and Pain Split is really the only thing Dusknoir has to heal.

Azelf- Explosion > Grass Knot. I prefer this as Grass Knot really doesn't look great on Azelf. Explosion almost 95% of the time will nab you a free kill.

Gliscor- Fine.

Overall Rate- One thing I noticed was you have three big walls. . . why? I feel Dusknoir could perhaps be replaced with Gengar, Deoxys-S, or Weavile. You really lack a revenge killer. My reccomended sets for all three are:

Gengar @ Life Orb
Levitate/ Timid Nature
252 SpA / 252 Spe / 6 HP
- Hypnosis
- Focus Blast
- ThunderBolt
- Shadow Ball

Deoxys-S @ Life Orb/Expert Belt
Pressure/ Hasty
160 Att / 96 Spe / 252 SpA
- Super Power
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball

Weavile @ Life Orb/ Focus Sash / Expert Belt
Pressure / Jolly
40 HP / 252 Att / 212 Spe
- Night Slash
- Ice Punch
- Pursuit
- Brick Break

2/3 of the revenge killers I listed take out Gyarados with Thunderbolt, in which you are Gyarados weak. Anways, enjoy the team.

Yanmega@Focus Sash/Wide Lens/Life Orb
Speed Boost
Modest
252 spatk/252 spe/6 def
- Protect
- Air Slash
- Bug buzz
- HP Ground - It covers Heatran, which is one of the most OU pokemon, now. You could also run HP Ice for Zapdos, who walls you.

Dusknoir@Leftovers
Pressure
Impish
252 hp/252 def/6 SpDef
- Pain Split - You're not meant to take on steel, besides, most of them are so physically bulky you'll do a negligible amount. Burn anything that gives you trouble.
- Will-o-wisp
- Ice Punch
- Shadow Sneak

Azelf@Life Orb
Levitate
Timid
252 spatk/252 spe/6 hp
- Psychic
- Explosion/Nasty Plot/HP Fighting - Explosion is a great way of bringing next to anything down. Especially when Special Walls will switch in on you. Nasty plot gives a great offensive boost and HP Fighting lets you hit TTar and Bliss/Lax for more damage if you choose to go without Explosion.

Someone give him Calm Bliss...

Ok, not bad, but you may need to look at the threat list, as (especially with the Platinum changes) threats and standard movesets have changed.

I would keep Fire Punch on Dusknoir, Archer, and replace Ice Punch with Pain Split. Fire Punch helps with Hera, Lucario, etc...

Moist Bander October 17th, 2008 7:47 PM

thanks everyone. I'll replace dusknoir with Deoxys-E. Looks really good after that.

also replaced focus sash
Explosion > Grass knot

Aurafire October 17th, 2008 7:55 PM

If you're adding explosion to Azelf, you'll have to change its nature to hasty/naive, other wise there's no point in putting it on. Azelf won't miss the defenses too much.

Isn't that what Gliscor is for? Besides you can always burn Lucario and switch something else in.

Moist Bander October 18th, 2008 12:56 PM

I finally updated it. More rates?

Dusknoir was replaced by Deoxyx-E
Azelf = Naive and Explosion
Yanny has wise glasses now

I'm not sure what to do with Blissey

Zetta-Chan October 18th, 2008 4:09 PM

Hehe you took my advice, heres the Calm Blissey.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Calm Nature / Natural Cure
176 SpD / 252 HP / 80 SpA
- Wish
- Protect / SoftBoiled
- Flamethrower
- Toxic
This is the set I use. Hope I helped.

Max def >> hp so you dont die to tackle.

HP evs dont do anything for Bliss whilst the def evs allow you to take physical hits as good as a 252 hp Scizor and Spiritomb.

Set needs Seismic toss too or you die to raikou, Empoleon and basically anything that can stat up behind a sub with a base sp.def of over 2 lol. So >> Either flamethrower or toxic.

Speaking of Toxic, T-Wave is MUCH more useful in Platinum btw.
