What the heck? This is a UU team?

If you couldnt tll from the title,i dont know crap about UU, but i want to have a UU team just in case I really get into UU battling..well,here we go....

Persian @ life orb
jolly
252 atk, 252 speed

fake out
bite
U-turn
Return

normal persian lead, fake out for a flinch, bite for ghosts,U-turn for escaping, and return for a somewhat powerful stab...

Swellow @ flame orb
jolly
252 atk, 252 speed

facade
brave bird
U-turn
protect

standard flame orb swellow...facade beats up anything that doesnt resist it,like steelix, which is why it has U-turn.brave bird for stab

Hitmonlee @ life orb/
adamant/jolly
252 atk, 252 speed, 6 sp. def

close combat
stone edge
earthquake
bulk up

close combat is here for stab, earthquake for coverage? stone edge for birds, and bulk up for the extra atk/def points

muk @ leftovers
careful
252 hp, 252 sp. def 6 def

gunk shot
ice punch
brick break
explosion

my special wall. gunk shot is very powerful, and hits hard to everything that isnt steel/rock,ice punch for ground types, brick break for steel/rock,and explosion to hit evrything thats not ghost. harrrrrrd.

jynx @ choice specs
timid
255 sp. atk, 252 speed, 3 sp. def

ice beam
focus blast
hp electric(70)
calm mind

special sweeper of course, ice beam for stab, focus blast for steels, hp electric for flyers and waters, and calm mind can never hurt for boosting my special stats, right?

Relicanth @ leftovers
impish
252 def., 252 hp, 6 atk

head smash
earthquake
waterfall
stealth rock

physical wall here folks, waterfall and head smash for powerful stabs, stealth rock because who doesnt love SR? and earthquake for coverage

I know this probably sucks, but, what the heck,at least I tried...

K, but you do realize your locked into one move with choice items right ? Thus the calm mind boosts would be for nothing. Shadow Ball >> it plox.

Psychic hits waters for 5 base power less than hp electric, with the exception of mantine, so use Psychic >> HP Electric. HP Electric honestly is an aweful choice coMPared with its STAB.

Ill come back later for a more in depth rate.

I could see rival himonlee's being a problem, swellow is about your safest bet to counter act him, but with you still taking neutral to a mach punch and the likes, your still only going to get so far.

Use the Luna set. Anything else is kind of dumb on Jynx, as Luna Jynx is pretty much the only plausible set for a sweep. Yeah, you'd have to worry about fast Physical Sweepers, but not much wants to take an Ice Beam from Jynx after a CM or two.

Quick Attack

Hitmonlee with Mach Punch lul at this, since they can get around a Brave Bird and kill you. Quick Attack remedies this.

Like Lee can live to set up a Bulk Up. Mach Punch pl0x.

muk @ leftovers

I guess.

Shadow Ball

Yes it can hurt, seeing as you'll be locked into it. Shadow Ball kthnx.

Relicanth @ leftovers
impish
252 def., 252 hp, 6 atk

head smash
earthquake
waterfall
stealth rock

physical wall here folks, waterfall and head smash for powerful stabs, stealth rock because who doesnt love SR? and earthquake for coverage

This fails to a lot of things. Claydol >> This.

I know this probably sucks, but, what the heck,at least I tried...

Claydol @ Leftovers
Bold
EV's: 252 HP, 144 Defense, 114 Special Attack
-Rapid Spin
-Stealth Rock
-Earth Power
-Psychic

>> Relicanth. It does moot for your team, Lee and Leafeon poop on it, this at least helps your Hitmonlee weak, sets up rocks better, gives you another Ground immunity, and lets you spin the opponent's rocks.

Actually, Jynx works great as a Revenge Killer with Choice Scarf or Choice Specs. Just don't be throwing Psychic around willy-nilly, or a dark type with Pursuit (e.g Absol) can come in and Pursuit you to death. I'm not too fond of the Luna set myself, but I know it's quite effective. Anything with Taunt that resists Ice Beam kinda ruins it though.

ABYAY October 25th, 2008 10:18 AM

First off, please invest in using capital letters when proper.

Secondly, If Relicanth dies, then you die to CB Aerial Ace from Scyther. Ensure that Relicanth avoids grass attacks like crazy if you want it to live. Water/Rock is an awful typing for defense, although a great offensive combination. You could change around Relicanth into a Rock Polish sweeper or drop it in general for Steelix, one of the few actual counters to a CB Scyther.

Claydol > Relicanth will also do, for it covers Muk very well, and vice versa. It leaves you without a true physical wall though, and you'll have to rely heavily on prediction to beat Scyther and other powerful CBers.

That's kind of the point... you're not supposed to switch Jynx in on something that can Taunt/another Luna-strong move/ability. By the way, if Jynx can get in a CM, even things that resist Ice Beam will fall to a OHKO-3HKO. (Excluding Bastiodon and Probopass).

Blaze Kick from Orb Jolly Hitmonlee will easily OHKO Jynx, and if I'm not mistaken, it outspeeds your "luna set"

That's reeeeeally irrelevant. Blaze Kick Lee OHKO's quite a few things, that doesn't make them bad.

Luna Set > Other Jynx sets

It's pretty commonly known.

Specs and Luna jynx serve different purposes. Specs has awesome coverage and instant power whilst Luna is more of a late game sweeper, heck its jynx its effective what ever it does lol. I wouldnt say luna totally outclasses its other sets, but its pretty much what meets the requirements and needs of your team which will be more appealing to you.

Close Combat OHKO'S Blissey, point ?

Jynx outspeeds Htmonlee unless its scarfed too.

Also guys can we stay on topic, this is not a "which set for jynx is best" topic.
