- HM01 (Cut) is located in Inhore City. You can't miss it, because you have to have one of your 23,000,000 rival battles to have it handed to you. - HM02 (Fly) is obtainable in Serenity City. Go to the first pair of buildings; in one, you get a Miracle Seed. It's on the second floor of that building. - HM03 (Surf) is a cutscene with Steven in Mt. Zhery, en route from the desert to the rainy Route 412, where you must first use it to access the Route. After defeating the Gym Leader in the city preceding, take a good water type with you on the trip so you don't have to backtrack. - HM04 (Strength) is found in Enermy Town, in a house left of the Pokémon Center. - HM05 (Lava Surf, replacing Flash) is found off the beaten path, having to trek west to Lake Maferny from Enermy Town (and then it's only used once in the entire game, at least in Zhery). The giver is a Lauren Gym Leader. - HM06 (Rock Smash) is collected at Route 409. You can get it before defeating the Seanport City Gym Leader, Lucas, but it cannot be used out of battle until defeating Lucas. HM07 (Waterfall?) and HM08 (Dive?) I don't have noted yet. However, Dive isn't used until Victory Road, where an underwater area and an above-water area designed beautifully to match with each other comes into play. Waterfall meanwhile gets you to the Victory Road entrance, and maybe an odd item or two somewhere. With two cities following Serenity City, they are clearly found in those cities or along the way. Hope that helps. :) Cyclone |
Waterfall is obtained from Red in Drakebreath City's Mart.

If you are hunting in the game for a Deino then it is far away in Mt. Oren where Zero gives it to you as a gift poke and you must have a place in your party for it i think

Further, I did not find any in the wild looking in AdvanceMap. Cyclone |
I ended up beating the Zephyr Elite Four, Lauren Elite Four, and World Championship with the awesome team of Snorlax (83), Charizard (79), Sceptile (78), Lapras (83), and Hydreigon (89). I may restart as I did not know that you get Elekid in the beginning and I may want to do another run through with Blastoise and Electivire.
But it is a great game. Best hack I've seen in forever. I'll just say that Snorlax is like the best pokemon ever... Belly Drum and Rest. Deadly combo |

I believe Giratina has a high catch rate, also. You may not need Hypnosis. Cyclone |
This has probably been asked already, but how do you know what moves a pokemom will learn? For instance will a charmander learn the moves from gen 1 from leveling up, or from another gen? Is it from the generation they were introduced? Thanks in advance. Great hack

i still would like to know where the man is that makes your Pokemon remember old moves for heart scales or whatever . because my gengar only knows dream eater lol xD

Well, might as well note that I've resumed playing this hack (in spurts) again today. I want to finish the main walkthrough and get a Pokémon searching guide up, and maybe at some point, while bug-squashing, start working on some bonus areas if I can find good ways to do it. :)
Cyclone |
How do you get gligar or gliscor?
|
Quote:
Pokémon #207 in the Zhery and Lauren regions is Froslass. Which, in the current version, is not catchable. I've incorporated a catch spot for it on a future update. Naturally, this means Gliscor is also absent. I've actually just started working on an index of Pokémon catch locations, coincidentally. Once I finish Zhery myself, I will jump ahead into Lauren using AdvanceMap and see if I can find other locations. I want to be careful to avoid listing areas that are in the hack but not visitable in-game. Cyclone |

- One is destroyed (but later revealed not destroyed, hmmph) in Central City. - The second is acquired by Juniper riding a Flygon. - The third is your job, at Steam HQ, after getting badge #7. Interestingly, Snowce City the first time you can continue beyond the city without the badge a fair way, in fact all the way to Drakebreath if you want to unlock the Fly option, but Steam HQ is blocked until you get the seventh badge. Found that out hacking my way backwards from Serenity City, and the Route 416 rival script doesn't even trigger at the entrance right away (probably have to trigger the one in Route 414 first, I'm working on that discovery). Quote:
As for 5th Gen., in Japanese, this is NOT better. The current patch has English names. It should include those on the list. Therefore, mine will include English names. Cyclone |
Haven't been here for a while.
A note about the Venipede thing from a few pages back, I fixed all the other experience problems, but left Venipede as very high experience because it was memorable from my playthrough and there's nothing wrong with bugs that help you out. It was a bug originally, but now it's intentional. Think of it as an easter egg. :P |
Hi guys. Great game. I need some help. I just got my free Rotom in Lendyn Town. However, I've already used my Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball TMs. Does anyone know if you can get them again?
|
I'm not able to answer that question yet, but once I have an answer, it'll be noted in my playthrough where the TMs are all located and if extras can be found. Currently working in tandem on the actual walkthrough (currently traveling to Mt. Icestorm, just did the Serenity Gym) and on the Pokémon list (importing as I do the walkthrough, imported through Route 413 and includes Route 417 ATM).

Okay. Thanks for replying.

I don't really remember where but I think there's a TM shop somewhere. It doesn't sell every TM, though. |
Why is leveling up so fast in this game? :O
And is there anything like a battle frontier or something to do when you beat both regions? Also, how to pokemon whcih usually evolve by trade evolve in this game? |
I actually ended up with two TM23 (Iron Tail) when it somehow reappeared after I first picked it up on Route 408.
I do think a shop in Lauren selling extras of some of the TMs would be worthwhile. Cyclone |
So far I love this game :)
I only don't like the fact that you are leveling up waaay too fast. I had a charmander before I got to Oak in the first town(and only by fighting trainers). So, Can you go on the world championship multiple times? And how do trade pokemon evolve in this game? Also, I would like to thank the creator of this game :) It is amazing :) I don't have a DS so I never got to try the 4th generation and this is as close as I get and it is great :D |
Hey everyone,
I'm kinda new in all the forum stuff, sorry if this is not where I should ask this. Me and a friend would like to make a nice hack ourselves. We've got ideas for a storyline, a good plot, and a lot of fantasy left to spend. We are willing to put a lot of time and effort in it. Can anyone help me out? As in, wich programs do I use? Are these free programs, or do I have to pay? If the makers of this hack, or anyone else sees this, and think they might help us with wich programs to use, or to show us the basics, please contact me. :) Grtz: Bearman2011 |

i really tried playing this game so much. but everytime i try to play it on my psp it simply doesnt works. so i wonder why :( im so sad about it.

Thanks for your reply.
And what about endgame content? Is there only the world championship or is there a battle frontier as well? Also, can you go more then once on the world championship? I find the previous pokemon games(until emerald and including fr/lg) boring because the lack of endgame content. Also, what about Electivire? He can evolve only by trade and I don't see him on the trade pokemon list. :O |
Quote:
That noted, I will look further into Electivire. It's possible it got missed, as well. However, I do know that it evolved by an item introduced in the 4th Gen. and thus I have no information on how to evolve it. If no evolution is found, I will have to add it in some highly electrified area. Cyclone |
Thank you :)
Would it be too much to ask that you make an updated GameBoid version of the game for us who want to play on Android devices? I know that there is a way to make this gba version run on gameboid, but if you google it, you will see that a lot of people can't make it work for some reason. I have tried everything, all suggestions to make it work, and it didn't. At the end, I found an already fixed version and downloaded it. About those trade evolutions: Did you consider making them evolve on a certain level? There is a black and white hack that does that(if I remember correctly) so I guess that it could work here as well. Thank you for continuing your work on this awesome game :) |
Quote:
I'm not sure where the English patch originated, but I'm glad it did. Otherwise I might not have tried it. EDIT: A note on Electivire. I just poked around my PC and found it hanging around in mine. This is the same Elekid from Yellow Town, and it's at Lv.40. I think it evolved naturally! If not, try using a Thunderstone and that might do it. Cyclone |
Electabuzz evolves to Electivire at level 40. Though don't go higher as there is a level bug that brings its level back if you do
|
Quote:
That aside, I'm back to my walkthrough writing, and I have it finished up to the Gym battle in Snowce City (that is next). Then comes Route 415 and everything after that. I was surprised there wasn't an HM in Snowce - in fact, nothing of interest except the Sinnoh starters and a future trade - but what can ya do? :) Cyclone |
I must say...this game is sadistic.
And I am talking about the entire trip to the ice gym town. Mother of God, why!? I just barely made. Too much trainers. My Charizard(lvl 63) was at 8hp when I fought Diamond. I ran out of potions and full restores, ran out of ethers and elixirs, and was on only 5 Flamethrowers(I ran out of moves). And then another trainer shows up. I just barely made it. Since you can get Electrivire at lvl 40, maybe you can get a Magmortar at lvl 40 as well. Also please, Is it possible to get all starters? I have heared some rumors that if you chose for example a johto starter and leave the room, that you will be able to chose again. Any legit way of getting them? |
Quote:
You do know, also, that you can travel back to Serenity City before heading to Route 414, correct? It's actually a good idea, as you can train more and more every trip. Fly is known, so you can go right from the cave entrance on Route 413 back, or even from 414 back. ;) Cyclone |
I am heading to the eight gym now.
Do I need any HM moves on the way? I am asking this so that I don't get stuck and have to go back all over again. I ahve also heard that the Wolrd Chmapionship is one big endurance gauntlet. Can that even be done? xD |
Quote:
That said, make sure you bring a Surfer along. Or your trek on Route 416 will be a short one. Here's the final city in Zhery, where you'll end up. Note that a western exit and jumping the express route takes you to Serenity City via Route 417. http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/8226/drakebreathcity.png I've also made a discovery. Magby is not catchable anywhere in the game as far as I can tell, but Magmar is. What do you folks think? Should I put Magby in somewhere in the Zhery region since Elekid was a free pickup? Note that if Magby is also a free pickup, I have yet to see it. I actually wonder, since Growlithe can be caught later, if Magby should come early somewhere - like the Central City Growlithe gifter, change it up. Magmar, meanwhile, is found in Mt. Shuem; my first thought was give it a 4% or 5% rate, still giving more to Magmar. Cyclone |

I have spoken with her at the entrance to the victory road.
It went something like this: ''Don't mind me and go fight my friend for some weird unexplained reason while I stand here and glitch your game :)'' So...you got any solution for this? I have three but I would like to try yours first before doing this my way. Solution a) Enter and exit house about 100 times...maybe he will show up in the meantime. Solution b) Use a save slot before battling the last gym leader and hope that this glitch appears at random and that he will have the decency to show up then. Solution c) Walkt through walls and hope that it does not affect the rest of the game in any way.(will this affect the rest of the game in any way?) |
So this game uses the generation 3 movesets? I'm confused because Scyther didn't learn fury cutter at level 25 like he does in generation 5, but yet theres generation 5 pokemon around like Venipede. Im kind of concerned because wouldn't that give generation 5 pokemon an advantage since their moves are much more updated and just more powerful overall? Oh and is it possible to obtain a Beldum in this game?
|
Help...please.
The 100 enter/exit did not work. I am getting desperate over here. At least tell me how much will walk through walls cheat here affect the rest of my game? If I do it, will I still be able to continue the game normaly or not? I really love this game and I am afraid that if I apply some new patch that it will erase my save slots and that I will have to do all of this all over again(and maybe it won't work even then :/) EDIT: Nevermind, got it working :) For all those who get stuck here, you need to first find Red at the store and then go to the house. |

5th generation Pokemon are there just for fans, they have edited movesets that are in most cases not same as in 5th generation as Wesley was limited to 3rd generation moves. |
Do 4th gen legendary pokemon such as Palkia and Dialga have their signature moves(rora of time and special redn)?
And will 4th and 5th gen moves be added to this game at least as TMs? I've also visited some cities in Lauren but I can't fly there. |
I'm going to venture a guess that they do NOT have those moves. This because the moves are introduced in fourth gen.
Cyclone |
My Electivire de-leveled itself, I guess I have an older version? Also I looked up a guide because I was stuck, Rayner isn't at the powerplant. I cant find a way to make him appear at the gym so I can't continue
|
I got to the world championship and then either my gameboid or tablet went ape**** and deleted my save slots -.-
Good for me, it left first elite four save slots. I though that it will take me hours to get to the world championship again...then I discovered that gameboid has speed up option. Life is good :D |

I hope to soon have a Zhery bugfix (and some minor Pokémon changes that I will detail when it's posted) available soon, and that will then become the current version. Of course, Ash will have more things to do on my final version, and I think Snakebyte wanted to do something else as well before it was finally finalized. Cyclone |
Cyclone, can you post any kind of hacking tutorial or post a link to one?
There are some things that I would like to add to my game :) I've also noticed a couple of minor bugs: -You can't fly to most places in Lauren(including E4 which makes fighting them to train your pokemon irritating) -Metagross gives next to nothing exp If you can, please fix the flying bug. I need to train my pokemon for the world championship and traveling to the Lauren elite 4 consumes too much time. |
Quote:
Cyclone |
I would fix the Lauren flying bug because it is too annyoing.
So far, regarding pokemon, I would power up Kyurem just a bit. My Kyurem is lvl 66 now and combare to some other pokemon of the same lvl in my party, his statistics are pathetic. He is above some in special atk. and atk. but just for a few points. Even some other legendary pokemon at level 40 have higher stats that Kyurem at lvl 66(Darkrai is a good example with his 180 special attack at level 40 combared to Kyurem's 196 on lvl 66). But mostly, I would try to add as much 4th and 5th gen moves as possible(giving legendary pokemon their signature moves) and maybe rework the movelist by leveling so that it looks more like 4th or 5th gen. I was thinking of checking some tutorials and adding improvemenst to my version, but pls tell me, if I hack my version, will I still have my save slots? |

Now that I'm thinking about it, it makes me wonder if anything was missed on the way to Serenity City...but I don't think anything CAN be missed. You have to do Groment Mines to unlock that Gym, complete that Gym to be able to Surf, and then along Route 412 you go. Provided you didn't use a walk through walls or something, you can't end up in that scenario with the Leader missing from the Power Plant. However, since Electivire is having level bugs in your copy, you need to replace it with the current copy and try that. Not only will Electivire work, but perhaps the Leader will show up. If I can learn how to remove the flag blocking his appearance (which would require more tools, not something I have time for today), I can set him to appear all the time until spoken to, then he's gone again as before once the Gym is unlocked. However, I'd have to use a copy (or back up the original) because I don't want to do something like that to the main game file I'm working on, which doesn't have this bug. One more thought. Are you using Save States? Save in-game and then reset the ROM and load it, see if that fixes it. Cyclone |
Quote:
Edit: Okay I applied the patch over it and loaded it up and what do you know, hes standing there now, now I guess I can go get my electivire too. This is great thanks for your help. |
Ok, I rly want to hack this game :)
So tell me can this be done: I got to the world championship and finished it in the first run. It was dissapointing, to say the least. I was hoping for a bigger challenge :/ So now what I want to do is make an event of my own. I want to: -Put several srsly strong trainers in the game(stronger than Ash) -Make it so that I can fight them over and over like in the World Championship -Make a location where the fights will take place(like the world championship arena). Can this be done(at least the first two) and which tutorials should I look up? |
How I can get unstuck from the 3rd gym?
|
Adjuk, you're better off making your own hack of a game if you want to do something like that. I'm generally only making fixes or adding Pokémon that are missing (see Froslass), not adding whole creative content to the game.
I am making a possible exception for the missing Route 503 and possibly adding it connected to a new area with starters. Not decided on that yet. But otherwise, it's not my game, so I'm not going to habitually apply new creative content. Quote:
Two (maybe three) options: 1. Start over. 2. Use a Gameshark code (Ruby set) for walking through walls, which is easy enough to apply. 3. (Untested) Finish defeating the Leader, save, and see if the Gym unblocks. In the future this will be fixed somehow so that you can't get stuck, or have an express path out in case of problems. Right now, we have to deal with it. Cyclone |
does anyone know how to evolve pokemon that usually require trading such as kadabra?

I hope to eventually have a full list in my walkthrough. While I plan to refer to each at the time it's available, a separate list would be handy as well. Cyclone |

To keep from being long-winded and continually off-topic, I will stop there. Back to your regularly scheduled hack thread. :) As for my walkthrough progress, I have taken a very brief break since beating the Snowce Gym, but I am returning to battle Routes 415 and 416 today. Steam HQ will likely be written during the evening (late evening as I have a hockey game to watch). That leaves me only Drakebreath City and other scripted activities before I can work on Victory Road and the Elite Four of Zhery. Cyclone |
All hail Pokemon PLatinum! This hack is awesome! The game play and storyline are really attractive.

Not sure if has been asked (sorry if I am re-asking). I just wanted to know if there is anyway to get the Hall of Fame screen that we usually get once we have beaten the Elite Four. Ive beaten both of the E4s and the screen just goes black. Will we be able to get this after the World Championships? Is it just me, or do Lucario and Chatot both have horrible movepools? Lucario still hasn't learned any decent Fighting moves beyond Reversal (which itself works best near death), and Chatot's only Flying move is Mirror Move. I know these are both Gen. IV imports, but really...they don't have much to work with for being imported. I still have Quick Attack (all right, somewhat OK), Foresight (...?), and Counter (groan) on Lucario. Not liking the idea that I might be FORCED to use TMs, would rather use another Fighting type (Scrafty has a good movepool by comparison).
EDIT: FINALLY learned Cross Chop at Lv.49. Only 5 PP however. Man, Lucario is not easy to train in this hack. Cyclone |
Quote:
|
Quote:
His movepool was never that good anyways... Only Swords Dance works. But yeah, there are people who change his movepool (like me) so we may do that... Giving him elemental punches and Brick Break (Ice Smash) should improve his movepool a bit. |
Lucario's movepool is better in Gen. V - I actually find myself using him there without difficulty (don't think I used any TMs there either). Problem is he learns a lot of Gen. IV-V moves, and thus they're not in the hack. I'd say any import should be looked at for possible moves, and I might grab the tool to take a look at some that I'm curious about, myself (besides, I have to jot down evolution info for my walkthrough eventually).

Hey, I'm having some trouble here. I made it to Kosaka city after crossing the water and all of that, and I went to Sky Tower. It told me I wasn't allowed in, so I figured I'd have to talk to the gym leader. I went to the gym, Lucy exited, and said that she needed to do something at the Sky Tower because of bad men in white. I went back to the tower, and the guard is still sitting there telling me I can't go in. Can anyone explain to me why this is happening? I'm playing on GPSphone, and if I can't finish this hack I'm going to be super upset because it's amazing. The last time this happened was on Shiny Gold and I could never finish it past the Aggron you get from the boat wreck.

As much as I think that this game is pretty (I love the graphics, and that little spinning-logo for the market and pokecenter never stop to amuse me. Sometimes, it's the little stuff that sticks out the most), it also has some annoying things that I'm sure other people found out. Just to name a few:
1) I trained a Combee all the way up to a Vespiqueen, only to realize the can't get any of her moves, which... kinda makes her useless, I guess. 2) Starting this game is painful. There's no recovery at your mom's house, and even though a person there gives you a MAX POTION (overkill much?), you are expected to go through 3 trainers until you can reach a poke center. Die? "Oh, sorry bud, there goes half of your money. Hope you enjoyed the Defense Curl + Rollout combo!" Why not make the NPC give you 5 potions instead for an overkill item right at the start? And that's assuming you can't reprogram the character's mom to heal you. 3) The items in the shops are ridiculous at the start. You have pretty much everything you can buy... except normal potions or super potions. It can be argued you can just grind in the grass and you won't need the healing items, but it still seems kinda jarring to buy a Hyper Potion in a market, then walk three feet and find a potion laying on the ground. 4) I don't know if this is because of a language barrier or something, but... Some NPCs don't make no sense. At all. Sorry if I seem to be nitpicking, but it's kinda weird when a random guy that I never seen before looks at me and says "You look like a nice kid! Have a pokemon!". I mean, sure, there could be a couple guys like that one, but it just seems weird that someone would offer a pokemon like that. I do also like that there's several pokemon for you to choose from, and you're given pokemon in towns like they are candy, so you have a chance to alter your team as you see fit. This could actually be a good excuse to give towns some NPCs that could say useful stuff, since the average player would have the "Gotta talk with everyone in the town, maybe they'll give me a pokemon!" mentality. Sadly, that never happens. In the end, good game, but it needs some improvement, is all. :) |
