Probably the last team I'll make.

Pokemon is really starting to bore me now, Platinum made the overcentralisation worse, I lack Wifi so I can't play people who don't have one of the Fantastic Four on their team (though to admit, one of them only is a rare luxury) and the fact Typhlosion got worse just makes me think "Whats the point?" But I'm not leaving Pokecommunity. No chance.

Dewgong @ Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk/252 HP/4 Def
Adamant Nature
Fake Out
Encore
Aqua Jet
Ice Shard

Wait wait wait WHAT? Yes, my own little anti-lead with my favorite Ice type. Given the blessing of dual priority, Thick Fat, Fake Out and Encore, this thing can take on Aerodactyl and Heatran, and also revenge Outraging Dragons. Well, it isn't predictable.

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 244 HP/76 SpDef/err, 188 Def
Sassy Nature
Stealth Rock
Hypnosis
Earthquake
Gyro Ball

Yes, I am throwing the dominant ideology of Bronzong leads out of the window.

Dragonite @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 HP
Adamant Nature
Outrage
Dragon Dance
Fire Punch
Earthquake

I don't give a damn about Salamence. Salamence sucks. It has paper defences, can't counter HP Fire Shaymin-S and doesn't get Fire Punch.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 Def/124 HP/132 SpDef
Bold Nature
Surf
HP Electric
Protect
Wish

Standard. Deals with FF No.3 Heatran, Gyara, Infernape and some other stuff.

Hitmontop @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP/72 Def/184 Spd
Impish Nature
Close Combat
Rapid Spin
Toxic
Stone Edge

Credit to AuraFire for help on this, never was good with Hitmontop...

Zapdos @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpAtk/136 Spd/120 HP
Modest Nature
Heat Wave
Thunderbolt
HP Ice
Toxic

ScarfDos. Toxic for space filler, counters no like poison ;)

Will get more pictures when my internet stops acting up.

My last attempt at a Pokemon team. Give it a rate if you have spare time.

I don't care what anyone else says, this set is epic win.

Sure...Maybe throw some of those defense EVs into Attack, but meh.

Yes, I am throwing the dominant ideology of Bronzong leads out of the window.

Dragonite @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 HP
Adamant Nature
Outrage
Dragon Dance
Fire Punch
Earthquake

Screw da Mence, I like Dragonite better too.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 Def/188 HP/68 SpDef
Bold Nature
Surf
HP Electric
Protect
Wish

Standard indeed. Those EVs will work a bit better in KOing possible threats while covering both your defenses

Standard. Deals with FF No.3 Heatran, Gyara, Infernape and some other stuff.

Hitmontop @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP/72 Def/184 Speed
Impish Nature
Close Combat
Rapid Spin
Toxic
Stone Edge / Aerial Ace

This is the basic spinner set for Top. All that priority isn't going to do much without technician and that many attack EVs

No idea on making these. Just stuck a pile of priority on it, Spin, jump point in Def and stamped 'Tar counter' on its forehead.

Zapdos @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpAtk/136 Spd/120 HP
Modest Nature
Heat Wave
Thunderbolt
HP Ice
Toxic

Mhm.

ScarfDos. Toxic for space filler, counters no like poison ;)

Comments in bold

My last attempt at a Pokemon team. Give it a rate if you have spare time.

I think this is a cool team. It's got a lot of variation from the standard OUs you see out there, and has potential to work decently. I don't see too many weaknesses either, but perhaps I will if I give it a second look later.

Dewgong is ftw. =P

Sucks that you're done with pokemon =(

DonRoyale October 27th, 2008 1:52 PM

NO!
This forum needs more of your epic quotes!

That Dewgong is epic win. Epic, epic, epic win.

Top isn't, however. CC/Spin/Toxic/SE pl0x.

Make Aurafire's changes and you should be good.

Don't leave us D=

DarkTyphlosion157 October 28th, 2008 8:38 AM

I'm not leaving PC, just giving playing Pokemon a good break until I see the fun side again.

Top'll change as soon as my internet stops giving me the ' Page Cannot Be Bothered to Display Itself '

Vaporeon stays with its current EVs. 130 base HP is enough, that 64 is best lying in SpDef for better FF No.3 Heatran coverage.

What is the Atk EV number needed for Bronzong should I invest?

NOT LEAVING PC.

Pretty good from what I see , Aurafire got the big things.

but I love hitmontop :D he's brilliant and the best Hitmon of the trio tbh.

COMMENTS IN BOLD ALSO

I was wondering about Hitmontop. A lot use this moveset because they disregard Toxic:

Hitmontop
Impish
Technician(Dunno??????????)
252 HP 180 Def. 78 Att.
Rapid spin
Close combat
Stone Edge
Thief

But your movesets and spread is a lot better. P.S.( btw, you still need speed in UU-Top.
UU is all about speed.)

Archer October 29th, 2008 5:12 AM

Ok, well as much as you need a medal just for using that Dewgong set, I have a few small things to mention regarding the team.
You may want to run some HP on Dragonite. It counters Skymin, however not nearly as efficiently without some extra bulk. Also, Zappy can happily run TWave over Toxic, as you can shut down anything you can't one-hit. Or U-turn works nicely for scouting people expect a TBolt, getting a massive dent in Celebi and to an extent, Tyranitar.

There's lots to do on PC outside of S&M, I've only recently started spending time elsewhere. Once the tiers settle down, the Metagame should be interesting again.

DarkTyphlosion157 October 29th, 2008 5:48 AM

Ah. I was thinking 252 Spd on Dragonite would be a bit dumb. I'll look up the speed numbers and edit accordingly. Also Toxic is up for switching on Zapdos.

What does the 92 SpDef prove on Bronzong? Also I prefer only 244 HP EVs, Leftovers point y'see.

Also, does having no Ghost/Dark attacks cause any problems?

Max Speed does'nt realy do much before and after the DD.

24 HP/ 252 Atk/ 232 Spd: Outspeeds Modest Max Speed non-scarfed Heatran before a DD and Scarfed variants after the DD, not Timid ones though
44 HP/ 252 Atk/ 212 Spd
: Outspeeds Jolly Max Speed Dugtrio after a DD and Jolly Max Speed Tyranitar before a DD.
72 HP/ 252 Atk/ 184 Spd: Outspeeds Base 115's running max speed after a DD and Adamant Max Speed Breloom before a DD

Or you could go for that paranoic speed game, run a Jolly nature to outspeed more threats at the cost of valuable power.

20 HP/ 252 Atk/ 236 Spd: Outspeeds Modest Max Speed Porygon Z and outspeeds Adamant Max Speed Lucario before a DD.
28 HP/ 252 Atk/ 228 Spd: for Timid Max Speed Scarf Heatran and outspeeds Adamant Max Speed Heracross before a DD.
80 HP/ 252 Atk/ 176 Spd: Outspeeds Base 130's after a DD and and Jolly Max Speed Breloom and Modest Max Speed Heatran before a DD.

It's up to you really.

This should be a makeshift status absorber since you need it, don't buy into the "this is an offensive metagame walls or status absorbers are obsolete" philosophy.

252 HP/ 216 Def/ 40 S.Def

wasting EVs to outspeed Tyranitar is not an issue when you can recover off the damage now and take hits better.

Moveset should be: Rest/ Sleep Talk/ Rapid Spin/ Brick Break

Good utility for breaking screens and providing spin support, using Close Combat on something that's supposed to be tanking isn't any good either. This also makes Hitmontop a better Rapid Spinner since Toxic Spikes won't screw it over anymore.

DarkTyphlosion157 October 30th, 2008 11:36 AM

I don't play that speed game much to be honest. I also don't see many Modest Heatrans nowadays, I'll run the second spread.

Whoa, I forgot I lacked a status absorber. Will test that set.
