How long id it take you to beat G/S/C?

Now everyone knows that its a very easy and fast gam to play, no matter ow awesome it is.

So how long did it take you to finish?

I just finished in less than a day with a Gyarados...

Virtual Chatot October 27th, 2008 3:43 PM

I beat Gold in about four days, on and off.

Zelda October 27th, 2008 4:14 PM

I never finished it...It was SO confusing to me you wouldn't believe!!

Sounds October 27th, 2008 10:58 PM

It took me about 2 weeks with alot of distractions to finish Gold

dumbpikAchu October 28th, 2008 6:17 AM

Legobricks October 28th, 2008 1:19 PM

It took me 70 hours or something, Crystal did. I don't speedrun RPGs.

You can answer your own question, quite obviously. Twelve hours is half a day.

Amplified Ampharos October 28th, 2008 1:22 PM

5 hr. with only Feraligator my friend kept saying OMG use other ones but in the end I beat the Elite Four and Champion with just Feraligator

Hikari Ven October 28th, 2008 1:22 PM

Took a couple weeks for me to beat Crystal, wanted to catch every Pokemon I saw.

Dukey October 28th, 2008 11:58 PM

Yer but MoonlightKnight, I'm talking bout the whole game, including Red...

I added bout 2 hours onto my time cause of getting my stupid Karp to lv20...

Lt. Silver November 3rd, 2008 1:53 PM

I presume the opening post was only talking about beating the elite four, I could do that in 8 hours max.
As for ripping through Kanto and beating Red thats another 6 hours worth

KadabraK November 3rd, 2008 4:12 PM

I beat the E4, took around 20-30 hours, bought it used so my internal battery died, after about 100 hr of gameplay total, it died. I kept starting new games

I was like 7, and didn't know how to make a team or w/e so i used my starter, and it was like 60-70 at the end of the E4, I struggled on the gyms that were hard, etc :P

Nope I mean from New Bark town,
right up too Red xD

The Exorcist November 3rd, 2008 10:54 PM

If this includes from New Bark to Red, it said 23:21, I spend most of my time playing games really, though that was when I was younger, anyhow, it was pretty boring after that, not much to do...

Azzurra November 3rd, 2008 10:56 PM

It depends on the person, and how much free time you have a day.
It could take about 30 hours of gameplay to finish it for one person, and 20 hours of gameplay for someone else.

You really shouldn't worry about time, and just enjoy the game.

Heart's Soul November 4th, 2008 9:43 AM

About 10 hours by training only 1 pokemon... Chikorita.

.:Kanto:. November 7th, 2008 6:06 PM

I just got a new copy of Crystal today. I hope to take as long as possible so I can enjoy it. Heck, I got my Pokémon Diamond in September, and I'm still not finished it! I love to enjoy my games. I'm really excited about going to Kanto in Crystal... But I'll still take my time..

derekjeter92 November 11th, 2008 5:29 PM

lol when I 1st got Red I was like 7 and it was one of my 1st video games ever. I couldn't even figure out how to get into the forest (right at the beginning of the game) for days. All I did was just train my Charmander in the tall grass and hope a lvl 5 Spearow showed up. Well I finally figured out what to do and the rest of the game was pretty each because when my Charmander was a lvl 28 Charmeleon by that time. I did end up catching some other pokemon, but those were last resorts for if my Charzard went down (which he didn't). He took out the Water gym on his own.

Wooper Kazama November 23rd, 2008 10:57 AM

Getting ALL 16 (or 19, forgot) took me about 1.5 week.

Blue Tomoshibi November 23rd, 2008 2:47 PM

If I'm just rushiong through and using Legendary my best for beating Red is about 10 hours. You gotta love that Amulet coin. Helps with the money troubles of skipping over trainers.

Skaterzpenguin November 23rd, 2008 4:07 PM

I beat the game in about 6-8 hours in one day. Once you keep restarting the game again, again and again. Your gonna experience the game and get it done faster. ;]
then once I Beat the Kanto side and face RED. It takes me about 3 more hours, so the total I spend on G/S/C beating everything is between 9-12 hours. =]

Ayesha November 23rd, 2008 6:19 PM

Sometimes I could finish it in one day - that's with Hacks, though. >_<;

Lord_Sesshoumaru November 23rd, 2008 8:44 PM

I beat Crystal within less than 5 days, from New Bark Town up to Mt. Silver.......

The Hack November 25th, 2008 7:56 PM

I think I beat Pokemon Crystal in 4 days... I forgot... :P

Caelus November 25th, 2008 8:35 PM

I haven't played Silver in like years so my memory of it very vague, but I believe it took at least 30 hours.
I was like 12 so I didn't really understand the concept of puzzles (Due to the new generations having a lack of any puzzle), so it was no cakewalk on my side.
If I had a chance to play it again, it might take at least 10 to beat it (Due to having a better understanding of the game).
