You had a prom in the 5th grade? o.o Your school must be pretty snazzy.

But in short, no, I haven't. The biggest thing like that I did was asking this guy I had a crush on if he wanted to sit next to me at a school talent show, when I was in the first grade. I doubt I'll be asking anybody to the prom, though XD; One, I do virtual school, so it's not like I have a prom to go to (not that I would go anyway); two, I already have a boyfriend, and I don't plan on cheating on him or anything XD;

TB Pro October 30th, 2008 8:32 PM

No. This is the first year we have a prom, so no. I don't plan to go to prom this year, as I'm fairly sure no girl likes me. I'm a hair shy when it comes to girls anyway.

Gerri Shin October 30th, 2008 8:36 PM

Never been to a prom, nor have I asked anyone to one.

Yu_&_Rei October 30th, 2008 8:41 PM

there was a prom at my 8th grade school, I remeber it was fun, the girl I went with was cute too. When you do ask her don't forget the flower like my older sister's prom date did when she went to her grade 12 prom.

Sounds October 30th, 2008 8:43 PM

Of the 2 proms i've been I never got rejected, and afterwards made girlfriends xD
asking someone to a prom isn't like asking someone out though.

LOLz. Yeah, i thought it was pretty wierd.

Never had what is classified as a 'prom', the first one will be next year but it sounds like a date kind of thing. Someone of my social status couldn't pull off asking someone without it backfiring and permanently being reminded of it by the other kids at school. So yeah I would never dream of asking, or being asked. I couldn't care that much to be honest. ^^

well, in senior high, a girl I really like the most asked me to dance with her.
that was really sudden and so sweet, but I said no, for I don't know how to dance, and what did she do?
she took my right arm(while I was holding the spoon) and dragged me to the dance floor... :P

that was really an unforgettable moment for me. :)
we like each other though, but we haven't been able to see each other now, for we are now in college and in different universities. :(

oh well...

Unforgettable November 1st, 2008 7:51 AM

we only have a senior prom. But I went my junior and senior year. I went my junior year with my senior boyfriend, and the same guy went my senior year. It was fun. I just really liked getting dressed up :3

I don't know what I'm going to do for prom this year, but next year I'm probably taking my friend if neither of us have previous dates to go to prom.
We made a pact in our freshman year to do this, so yeah. I'll most likely take her to senior prom next year. :p

Still not sure what to do for this year though. It's up in the air.

Aurafire November 1st, 2008 12:40 PM

I never really felt the need to go to prom, so no, I never asked anyone to go. I don't know about other schools, but our school dances were just ridiculous. On top of my dislike for dancing in the first place, It just seems like people go to those things to hook up and get drunk. That's something I really wanted to avoid.

Mario The World Champion November 1st, 2008 8:18 PM

I didn't go to my Senior Prom. I told everybody that I wasn't going. While it was a blast for the others, it was too far for me to go.

And I decided not to go for one reason: I missed my Prom to watch a NASCAR race that same night.

Lucy Lu November 2nd, 2008 11:25 AM

I didn't go to my Senior Prom because I got hired on the week when it is going to happen. I just couldn't tell the place I was about work at, I can't make it...I got Prom. No way, I needed a job badly. So I had to pick one or the other. Of course I picked to go to training for my work. I was eighteen at the time...great times. And besides one of my friends I went to school with says our Prom was so boring. I didn't miss much.

Yamikarasu November 2nd, 2008 11:34 AM

Me and my friends are too poor too cool for that. B)

I'd rather just take a girl to the movies or some place less crowded than the school dance.

LethalTexture November 2nd, 2008 11:40 AM

I didn't go to mine with the girl I wanted to (or any, for that matter) for various reasons involving traiterous backstabbing friends. As for the prom itself, I had to go because... well, it was the last time I would see most of the people I'd had so many great times with, and we all wanted to give each other a fond and fitting farewell.

But when I went, blimey did I enjoy myself. Lots of laughs with the teachers, humorous awards were given out, and great music that we all couldn't help but dance to. We all had a great time, and the perfect song (Angels by Robbie Williams) summed it all up.

Confuse November 2nd, 2008 12:04 PM

I hope to ask a girl when I do have my prom.

I skipped my homecoming to go to a performance/musical that my friends where in at their school.

Volkner's Apprentice November 2nd, 2008 12:23 PM

I didn't ask a girl (since the two girls I was about to ask LITERALLY found dates on the day I planned to ask them. Bleh. One of those guys is still on my hit-list XD)

Anyway, I did go to prom in a white tux with a group of friends; it was eh. I told my parents it was fun, but I didn't make a big deal out of it. I left at like 11:30 and didn't want for the prom announcements of who was king or queen; I honestly didn't want to know, since my friend had won homecoming king, had increasing popularity throughout the school year and I knew he'd probably take prom king. In the end, our valedictorian stole the show from him, which I found refreshing haha.

Either way, prom was food, pictures, talking to people you didn't really see much all year, and a little dancing (which was wayyy more fun as a group of ten-twelve in the back corner of the room where there was a lot of open space. Who wants to get stuck in the mass pool of sweaty grinding? That's just awkward..)

Anyway, overall I didn't like it that much; it was supposed to be different than all of our school dances, but it was exactly the same, people just looked better initially. Then most people go off to get drunk...yeah. fun..not.

Zebra Thunderhead November 2nd, 2008 2:26 PM

I asked my prom date, for my junior prom. He was a senior. All the boys in my grade suck. xD I didn't mind though because we're good friends and he was good looking, like me. :3 I'm kind of hoping someone takes me to their junior prom this year (I'm a senior now) but I doubt it. xD Prom was too much fun.

luke November 2nd, 2008 2:44 PM

My friend Fabian was supposed to come up for my prom, but he got sick last minute so I ended up taking two of my friends. One was a girl from my work and the other was my friend who's date canceled on her, so she went with me instead (Yes, I got called a pimp by my entire grade). It was one of the best nights I had. My senior year was awesome, so it was one of the final awesome notes of the year.

Lo-chan November 3rd, 2008 4:38 AM

I have never been to prom nor do I really want to. I haven't asked anyone either or been asked. School dances just don't catch my interest. I use to go to them but I stopped after entering high school. Not to mention, the one person I would actually want to go with isn't here so...

Michii November 3rd, 2008 8:53 PM

Don't like proms, or dances in general for that matter. I haven't asked or been asked to any prom, nor do I want to at this moment. All that happens is grinding and hip-hop rap music and people screwing each other around the grounds. Woopheeh I'd loooveeee to go to the prom.

viridian doubletongue November 4th, 2008 5:19 AM

Prom was forgettable. Didn't ask, didn't get asked, didn't plan to go, didn't pay. Just sort of ended up there on the night.
