Barney. February 19th, 2009 12:15 PM

I know I was joking :P

That's strange...Especially cause he's on brawl.

God I just can't finish SD on hard..Gharnef is just too much for my skinny frail mage.

Kotowari February 19th, 2009 12:32 PM

Of course you are.

Yeah, but most of what dA offers is MarthxIke, IkexPit and pure crack. XD
Keiiii's art is awesome, but it lacks what I'm looking for. XD

Barney. February 19th, 2009 12:46 PM

MarthxIke?
IkexPit?

ew.

Hahahaha.... Sooo... what ARE you expecting? Maybe I can grant that wish... ehehehe...

Barney. February 20th, 2009 8:35 AM

Naruto,

Draw us a wonder.

CyBeastSaber February 20th, 2009 9:58 AM

Hrm.... That will be tricky....

Kotowari February 20th, 2009 10:48 AM

Yeah, I am expecting a miracle here. =/
Oh, btw, does any of you guys know a site where you can find Japanese fanart of Fire Emblem? To my experience they house quite some nice fanart. :3 My current Avatar on msn was found on one.

Those who have played FE7, and have completed the Wil-Rath support conversation, will recognise this as Rath teaching Wil how to ride a horse, since the latter one is absolutely astonished by Rath's skills with the bow while riding a horse.

all art belongs to their respective creators. :3

CyBeastSaber February 20th, 2009 1:50 PM

Whoa! Lol. Those three look mighty clean there! That guy's good... I can tell... hahahaha.

Wil-Rath!!! I sooo remember that hehehe. That artist really did good on that. Hm... Maybe I should draw some art pertaining to the support conversations. Sounds like a pretty good idea...

Geh... I'll try something unexpected then...

Kotowari February 20th, 2009 2:25 PM

Hehe. I really like that picture of the lords. I think there should be more of 'm. I mean, the internet is flooded with Roy, why not Eliwood? o_o"

Support conversations are a mighty invention. Probably one of the best things in the whole series of FE. Support conversations are hilarious, sad, crack, informative, boring, not necessairy, great, wonderful and offer a great deal of hidden information to get to know who it is your fighting with. They give a (pixel)sprite a personality, which is odd to say, but to me, one of the major reasons I like FE. The characters exist. They have a name, a face, a personality, a history. They're not mindless killingmachines.
Remember Jill when she had to fight her father? She told Ike she wasn't feeling 100% (she meant to say that, but Ike took the words out of her mouth), Heath surrendered because he couldn't bear watching how Bern killed innocents, Haar came to visit Jill in the Crimean Camp to help her (his personality is awesome. Bloody serious, but oh so sleepy)can't wait 'till I get him at chapter 23, and so on. =O The character devellopment is amazing. I didn't know Oscar could cook until Ike told him that he wanted to eat some of his food. And how Shinon did something that was SOOOOOO out of character....

This came from another website... the artist seemed to be very fond of InnesxEirika and teasing Ephraim.

PS: quick question: how do you guys pronounce "Haar"? 'Cause I'm wondering about that. His name cracks me up though, 'cause it means "hair" in Dutch. x)

Barney. February 21st, 2009 7:52 AM

Now I can speak Dutch. What's Azels? (Spelling?)

That's some great art.

I swear Innes is like...Much older than Eirika :/...

Kotowari February 21st, 2009 8:46 AM

Did you watch "Friends"? XD If you mean "Ezels" (pronounced like-Aizels, singular Ezel), those are donkeys. x)

I don't think they differ that much. I kinda forgot the detail of FE8... perhaps I should start again. x) Hey, question about FE8, if you do Eirika's path, do you get to do Ephraim's path as well? =/

Barney. February 21st, 2009 10:01 AM

No I didn't...I swear... *Shifty Eyes*

Uhh...In a new save file...Yes :P.

So..No

Spoiler:
not until they meet again....

^ Spoilered just in case.

Ephraim's story is easier in my opinion..But I think he is awesome..whereas Eirika is not...But with Eirika's you get Innes and...*Insert Sage's name here as I have forgotten.* earlier than in Ephraim's.

Saleh is his name. Quite underpowered compared to good ol' Pent!

@Kippy's question (since i'm a little lazy to go quote)- I'd pronounce Haar's name as Ha-are. Lol. I think that's how you do them pesky pronounceations. Eh... I'll think up of a smaller sub-topic maybe later.

Barney. February 21st, 2009 2:55 PM

That's right...Yeah pent is miles better I think...The magic you get in SD sucks.

It's HARGH

Kotowari February 22nd, 2009 4:55 AM

No one beats Erk or Pent. Not even Soren can stand up to the Sages of FE7, but his character is more complex than Erk's or Pent's. He's a main character in FE9, whereas Pent (and surely Erk) are side characters. Pent plays a role, but ain't a main character. =/

Ok, thanks for clearing that up, both of you. :o
The way I pronounce "Haar" is almost impossible to explain. It'd be something along the way of "why" but without the "y" sound on the back. =/ Don't know how to explain it otherswise.

And as a sidenote, my next theme wil not be Fire Emblem, but SaiunkokuMonogatari. I just finished the series, and it's awesome. <3

Barney. February 22nd, 2009 8:04 AM

Aww.

No Fire Emblem theme?

Ah well...I guess I'll live...

The Magic you get in shadow dragon sucks...Merric is awful compared to past mages/sages.

And the Bishops are only good for healing and dealing a bi t of damge to protect themselves...Only one archer is good...Jeorge...OTherwise they all suck..Seriously Shadow Dragon is a big Close combat game.

Kotowari February 22nd, 2009 2:33 PM

Nope, the one I get after that one will be FE, promise! 'Cause by then, I'll probably have advanced further in FE9, and have found a special thing to include in my theme. XD

He buh, close combat ain't fun. D: Archers and Mages (and their promoted classes) ftw! Javelins, Sonic Sword, hand axe and other long range weapons are the best! :3 Attack while being unhurt. Great!

Barney. February 23rd, 2009 8:38 AM

But with less power and no way to protect their self...Brilliant >.>

Close combat FTW!

CyBeastSaber February 23rd, 2009 8:47 AM

Hahaha... Don't rip each other's throats out now...

Truth is I'm a veteran tactician(heh!) so I accept both ranged and melee combateers. (BUWAHAHAH! Splitting my bet! ;)) I like aerial units more so than others though... hence the fact that I use all air units in my games hehehe... Sometimes melee doesn't develop as well as ranged units and vise versa. It's all a matter of LUCK! stupid % multiplier....

Barney. February 23rd, 2009 1:11 PM

Fine then.

Close Combat vs Ranged vs Air units.

It's awn.

Kotowari February 23rd, 2009 2:18 PM

Archers don't do well in close combat. But mages can become tanks in attack and avoidance if you're lucky. Like Erk in my FE7 games. x) I put him in the frontline instead of in the back, like Soren suggests in FE9. XD
Magic Users are my fav units. ^-^

CyBeastSaber February 23rd, 2009 2:54 PM

I wonder.... Lyn vs Eirika... Who'd win? :DDD

Oh and we have Eliwood vs. Ephraim... (Ephraim has probably the most semi-uber prof weap ever, I swear! The spear one... which I forgot... not the relic)

@Kippy- Your Erk would SOOOO lose to my Nino! Muwahahahah! I can send you my save file if you want... :3

Kotowari February 24th, 2009 12:39 AM

I hope that Lyn would win, because for me Lyn>Eirika for me. And Ephraim... dunno about him. I haven't been playing with him a lot. =/ He seems cool though.

*grin* Well, I suppose so. XD But I still like Erk the most, though.

Hahahaha... Well... If you can ever get to the point where you can use him... you'd find that he is AWESOME! Possibly another great Lord class (with a base lance!) but I think he's awesome with his lance.

Urgh... I made Lucius' body a bit bigger than his head... (haha) so i'll delay the picture for a bit. Really need to adjust it since it looks WAY awkward....

N-XIGE February 24th, 2009 10:20 AM

Long time people...

Let's see...there's been a lot of fun I've missed out; but judging a fight between Eirika and Lyn...I wont! Lyn totally wins!!!

Reason
Spoiler:
Lyn is somewhat of a swordmaster while Eirika; a fencer.
