D/P OU - Critique

Alright, I know a decent amount about competitive battling, but I haven't actually DONE it before, so I'm pretty inexperienced with what's out there.

I threw together this team basically by picking pokemon I thought it'd be fun to use, with the intention of posting the team here to find out if there are any GLARING weaknesses to the team. I'm sure there are counters here and there, but I really just want to know if there's anything that simply just can't work.

Anyway, commence with the team! (First one is starter)

http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/yanmega.png
Yanmega @ Expert Belt
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Protect

My other choice to start was Bronzong, for Stealth Rock, but I figured he could switch in to a lot of things and then get it up. Plus, Stealth Rock isn't up on me to start, so he can survive more easily. I'm still debating switching HP Ground with Hypnosis, but I figured I'd want something with a bit more attack power for him, and since I have tons of pokemon with Hypnosis. I went Protect to get a possible free speed boost and to scout. Expert Belt for some more power.

http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/kingdra.png
Kingdra @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 120 HP/136 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Ice Beam
- Rain Dance
- Surf

Kingdra can switch into a decent amount of attacks, especially water, and set up Rain Dance. Surf of course is for STAB and Ice Beam to deal with other Dragons. HP Electric for Empoleon and Gyrados. Can outspeed Scarf-Gengar here.

Gallade @ Life Orb
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 64 HP/252 Atk/192 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Hypnosis
- Close Combat
- Night Slash
- Swords Dance

I like Gallade because of Hypnosis, which allows for easy SD set up. I chose Night Slash to deal with the Ghosts and Psychics. Close Combat is self-explanatory.

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/86 Atk/80 Def/92 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Gyro Ball
- Hypnosis
- Stealth Rock

I needed some kind of wall, and Bronzong seemed like a great option (since I refuse to use Blissey.) There's also 0 Speed IVs on this to maximize Gyro Ball's damage. He can switch in to most things and set up Stealth Rock. EQ to help with Infernape, Magnezone, and Heatran.

http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/magnezone.png
Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 20 HP/236 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Explosion
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Flash Cannon

Magnezone used to be my favorite pokemon (he's still up there quite a bit) and so I had to use him. He can trap Empoleon and destroy him. HP Ice to deal with Ground types, Flash Cannon and Thunderbolt for good STAB boosts. I decided to run Choice Scarf because he can switch in and KO Gengar, as well as outspeed Gyrados. Explosion is self-explanatory.

http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/gengar.png
Gengar @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 108 HP/252 Spd/150 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Will-o-wisp
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Hypnosis

I decided to run a double status Gengar rather than the Standard one because the only status move I had on anyone was Hypnosis. Will-o-wisp is to help cripple physical sweepers. I'm considering switching Hypnosis with Toxic, since again, that's a lot of Hypnosis on this team.

Alright, that's it. I am prepared to have this team torn apart, and I thank you in advance for it. :P

EDIT - Put in pics since that seems to be the trend. Also, this is for ShoddyBattle, fwiw.

Immediately I see a a glaring DD Tyranitar weakness. Of course, Bronzong can stop it, however it's 2HKO'd by +1 Crunch. Foe Magnezone can trap Bronzong and set up, also posing a magnificent threat. A way to remedy the Tyranitar weakness, you could add a Choice Scarf on that Gengar, allowing it to not only OHKO Tyranitar with Focus Blast, but outspeed it even after 2 Dragon Dances:

Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Timid
252 SpA/252 Spe/6 HP
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast
Thunderbolt
HP Ice

It can also ease up the Gyarados weakness, and to a lesser extent, Salamence weakness. Other than that, very solid team.

Thanks for the advice, seems good. Do you think it'd be a problem then that I don't have any status move other than Hypnosis? Also, what can I do against Swampert? Would Gengar do the trick?

I'm surprised it's solid though! I seriously just threw it together randomly.

You don't need status moves in today's metagame. Everything's became so fast paced and ridiculously offensive, that losing a turn to status someone rather than outright kill them hinders your chances to sweep. Gengar is now among the best revenge killers with Deoxys-e banned.

So many Hypnosis users. O_O I don't think three are really needed. With Sleep Cause in effect, you can only have one of your opponent's Pokemon asleep at a time. Perhaps Leaf Blade or Psycho Cut over Hypnosis on Gallade.

Only reason I thought it prudent for Hypnosis on Gallade is for easy set up. But I suppose if I switch in on someone that will switch, I'll be good. I dunno. Maybe I'll do that.

Psycho Cut is very useful on Gallade; you hit everything in the game for neutral with Psycho Cut/Night Slash/Close Combat.

Alright, yeah seems good to me. Thanks again guys.
