Chaos Rush December 31st, 2008 4:20 PM

I've finally seen all 6 movies. Now as I look back on it, I think Episode V was the best (and Episode I was the worst).

Time for a new subject...Who is your least favorite character?
...Jar Jar Binks. I didn't like him at all...My favorite would probably be Han Solo.

Ineffable~ January 1st, 2009 8:24 AM

Sorry for the late reply... My least favorite character is Grand Moff Tarkin. Horrible man.

Leia: NO! Alderaan is a peaceful planet!

Tarkin: Then tell us the location of the rebel base!

Leia: ...Dantooine. The rebel base is on Dantooine.

Tarkin: Very good. [Talks to engineers] Fire at will.

He destroyed a whole planet with impunity! We were denied seeing a long, painful death for Grand Moff Tarkin, but hopefully he'll burn eternally in Hell to match the burning remains of Alderaan.

(And yes, everybody loves Han Solo. But is he as cute as R2-D2?)

No. But he is as charming.

Lol well yeah when he's not being a scoundrel... which Leia likes. ;)

Same as here. Leia likes Han Solo better when he stops calling her "Your Worship". :paranoid:

moon January 3rd, 2009 4:05 AM

Hahha! I can agree on Jar Jar Binks being awful >.< No wait. He's good sometimes :] But not often. Bleah, for making Star Wars adapted for kids.

R2D2 is the best. He's in all the movies :3 Oh. Only Obi-Wan is better. He's in every movie too~ And he's a jedi. Jedi = cool. XD

Circuit January 3rd, 2009 2:23 PM

I still agree with Han Solo being my favourite character. R2-D2 is cool, and funny but Solo is better even if he is only in three.

He's not really in every movie... In the last two he's just a ghost. That does not count. And R2-D2's saved more lives than any Jedi can ever hope. Especially more than a 60-year-old Jedi Knight.

I don't get what you mean by that. I think any supposed "weirdness" (that I don't ever see) could be looked past, considering he helped to save the galaxy. (Not to break balls, but he's done more than Obi-wan and probably Han Solo too.)

Formal announcement: I think we should all vote on three characters and I'll make a special little presentation for them in the first post. Make note that I'm probably making one for R2-D2 anyway. XD

Han-Solo
R2-D2
Obi-Wan-Kenobi

There my three in order of most wanted.

EDIT: Also, Lilbitty, I might be putting you out of a job with those sabers eh? I could become the clubs saber drawer. I mean, if you wanted me to be.

Ineffable~ January 4th, 2009 5:11 PM

Well, I don't see any need for that. I already have my two bodyguards (which by the way are doing great!). But I guess you could make a few color lightsabers into standard banners for the Fanclub itself.

Ineffable~ January 20th, 2009 2:06 PM

UPDATE: Ok, I'm guessing Fable is on vacation or something like that. She's sort of the conversation starter. Anyway, I think a new topic. What order did everyone watch the Saga in?

The warden January 21st, 2009 1:03 AM

Hello I'm a star wars fan

I'v got a few starwars books that go with the films

I'v also got KOTOR I and Starwars Battle Front I and hve played on KOTOR II and Starwars Battle Front II

(I wish they would makea KOTOR film)

I like Mace Windo the most, so I was quite dissapointed when he didn't get any realy good light saber fights in the films.

I don't think he just makes Star Wars for kids. He's considerably good as a plot mover.

Chaos Rush January 21st, 2009 3:49 PM

What was up with Mace Windu's purple lightsaber anyway? And Darth Vader had a pink saber in Episode VI...

♣Gawain♣ January 22nd, 2009 12:07 AM

Maybe it symbolizes that you're a champion or somethin'

Ineffable~ January 22nd, 2009 6:16 PM

Hey what's wrong with a purple lightsaber? At least he's more creative than all the other Jedi. Let's see... blue, blue, blue, blue, green, blue, blue, blue, green, blue, green, blue, blue, blue, green, blue, blue, blue, blue, green, blue, blue, blue, blue, blue, green. Oh look! And a few anomalies!
Mace Windu, Yarael Poof, Adi Gallia, Plo Koon, Corran Horn, Depa Billaba, Jocasta Nu, Ki-Adi Mundi, Jaina Solo, Lowbacca, Mara Jade, Bastilla Shan, and Darth Bane actually have personality. I majorly appreciate that. (Omg, am I ranting again? XD)

Yes. Wookie (chewie's dad/grandad) and Solo. So Solo is somewhat a jedi after all.

What colours would you like? All? I can do as many as you want.

Ineffable~ January 25th, 2009 9:01 AM

You can make any color you can find, but for classic results, try matching colors to their meanings. In the old Republic, lightsabers used to have special meanings:
Blue means you want to study the Force on a physical level.
Green means you want to use your mind to fight the Dark Side at its heart.
Yellow means you want to do both.

and, as Gawain so nicely pointed out, Purple means courage and resistance.
(Mace Windu needs a lot of resistance to not turn to the Dark Side. His lightsaber powers are hard to manage without hate.)

If I had to choose I would give myself either yellow or purple, though I like green better. I can help you to come up with sayings to put on each color.

Chaos Rush January 25th, 2009 10:34 AM

Actually, I did some research.

Mace Windu has a purple lightsaber because of this reason:

The actor who portrays Windu, is Samuel L. Jackson. Jackson has been associated with the color purple in many different movies, such as a purple hat or a purple jacket. Samuel L. Jackson requested personally to have a purple lightsaber, instead of the average blue/green lightsaber.

And the reason why Darth Vader has a pink lightsaber in the DVD special edition is simply because of laziness...

Lightsaber form VII (7) I think

Chaos Rush January 26th, 2009 5:06 PM

Hey, I can help re-do some of the banners. Here's a picture of me and my brother "fighting" with "lightsabers":
I used the GIMP photo-editing program.

And here's another glimpse at my photo-editing:
This is how dramatic and scary my life is.

Same picture as above, but un-edited.

Wow, that's seriously interesting. But I sort of meant it in a different way. Mace Windu gives the color its symbolism by being the only one (in the movies) to have a purple lightsaber. So... hard to explain, but Mace Windu symbolizes courage to me, so that's how I see a purple lightsaber. :P and again, thanks for that info.

Lol. Nice.

Yeah, something like that. I know it's the last/best from. It could be VI, VII or IX. I read it in this book, I'll go look it up.

Which book the one I read said there are 7 forms and that form VII is the closest to darkside of them.

Ineffable~ January 27th, 2009 6:04 PM

That's probably right. Mace Windu owns in Battlefront II.

Circuit January 29th, 2009 2:06 PM

Not ready yet. I am doing ones for rankings.

Yellow = Chancelor
Blue = Jedi knight (if you don't want to use ones specifically made)
Blaster = Trooper

Sydian January 30th, 2009 3:00 PM

Why am I just now seeing this? >.< I wanna join.

And you have to tell me how you edited that light saber. I have GIMP. <3 And about Mace Windu's light saber, when I was in the theatre watching episode II many, many moons ago, someone literally screamed "BLACK GUY GOTTA PURPLE ONE!!! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING BOUT!!!"

It was weird, scary, and made me a little thirsty.

What scene (in what movie) is your extra memorable/good to you, and why?

Seeing that I was not raised in a Star Wars savy family, I caught on to the story when episode II came out, and just because it's the first I saw, it's always going to remain my favorite. The scene that I will never forget, maybe because I'm a sucker for romance, is at Padme and Anakin's wedding, where he moves his mechanical fingers as they kiss. Sounds lame, I know. Ehehe.

And I saw the movies in retard order. Luckily, I already knew the storyline. Thank you extended Star Wars savy family! I saw them: II, III, end of V, beginning of IV, end of VI, all of IV, started in the middle of V, all of VI, and then I.

xD

Chaos Rush February 5th, 2009 6:44 PM

I've been inspired to try a banner:

Anybody can change the font and/or remove Luke.

Sydian February 6th, 2009 2:26 PM

Anyone wanna fill me in on why we're making banners? xD Couldn't you just ask someone with a graphics shop to make one? Granted, I don't know what purpose they serve, though.

O.O

Circuit February 7th, 2009 12:25 PM

They are for people that want them for sigs. They are also used for rankings.

Ineffable~ February 17th, 2009 5:06 AM

Sorry for not posting here for awhile. I haven't been here in so long. Nice job on the banners...

I saw them in retard order too! The first I really remember seeing completely in full was Episode III (Thank you, school movie party!), but I swear before that I remembered already knowing parts of Episode V... weird. But the first little chunk was that part of Episode VI, with Jabba the Hutt (Ruined my opinion at first!). But then I soon bought the Original Trilogy set once I saw Episode III. Anyway, so literal order of seeing them complete was III, V, IV, VI, I, II. People got me mixed up on the order and actually got me to believe that VI was really the first one! But I was scared of it at first, So I started on V, and then slowly bought I, II, and III. I used to be really screwed up at it, but now I'm like a Star Wars genius. :P

Hey, did anyone see the junior mastermind (an English show) where the kid had star wars as his specialist topic and won the whole contest? It was amazing, he got all his questions right.

No we don't have Jeopardy, not as far as i know any way.

Yeah, we don't have Jeopardy. I have Sky and it is nowhere.

I haven't been in this thread for ages...

Are we making lightsaber banners? I used to try and draw lightsabers onto photos of me and my brother when we were younger, it looked so cool 8D
Only, I used MS Paint xD

I installed Jedi Knight II some week ago. It's still as fun as it used to be, the later Jedi Academy game never got me hooked. I didn't even play through the first levels of that game I think... JKII has both the fun of laser blasting and lightswording :3

Anyone else played those games?
