Oddly Effective Shoddy OU RMT
Well, this team actually surprised me, I thought I would get owned pretty hard but ended up winning ~75% of my ladder fights on Shoddy.
I don't know where to get images of the pokes so... Dragonite (lvl 100). Inner Focus, Adadamant, Life Orb. 72 Att, 252 Spe, 184 SpA. Superpower Dragon Pulse Flamethrower Earthquake Changed from Yache to LO, any comment on EQ? Moltres (lvl 100). Pressure, Naive, Leftovers. 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 Att (not hp, it should be odd for SR) Fire Blast Air Slash Roost Will-o-wisp/HP Fighting/Ice (will switch fighting to earth if i'm not guaranteed a 2hko on heatran with it). Ripped apart previous set and replaced nature, item, fire attack, roost > u-turn. Ramparados (lvl 100). Mold breaker, Adamant, Choice Scarf. 252 Att, 252 Spe, 4 Hp. Stone Edge Earthquake Crunch Pursuit This guy has swept so many times it's not even funny; nobody sees Ramparados anymore, let alone scarf. Vaporeon @ Choice Specs Modest 252 Def 252 Sp att 4 Spd Ice Beam HP Electric Surf Wish Replaced Relicanth for semi-tank/gyara counter/wish. Hitmontop (lvl 100). Technician, Impish, Leftovers 252 hp / 74 att / 110 def / 74 sp.def (Suggested set) Mach Punch Stone Edge Rapid Spin Toxic Pretty bulky on both defensive sides, standard spinner. Switched CC for Mach punch, now technician (though I liked messing up stuff on the switch with intimidate). Electivire Motor Drive, Adamant, Life Orb 252 Att, 252 Spe, 4 HP Thunder Punch Ice Punch Cross Chop Earthquake Replaced Forry, absorbs electric attacks with 2 of my team is weak to, and is good for late game sweeps. Rate/Hate/Suggest =) |
Timid >> Jolly on Moltres, jolly is - sp.att + speed.
252 hp / 74 att / 110 def / 74 sp.def on hitmontop. I also prefer Brick Break (for screens) or Revenge >> close combat since its bulky and the def drops do it no good. Revenge also has as much power as CC if you get hit. Mence does that set better than nite. Ill do a more in depth rate later. |
Will change Moltres, didn't know that about jolly.
I remembered that about CC, but totally blanked while making team/posting thread. Might consider mence, or just go mixed on Dragonite Thanks |

Considering changes on Moltres, will change nature/item/fire move, still unsure about WoW/HP. I'll replace relicanth with Vappy, and put in Physical Vire for forry (L). |

Superpower Dragon Pulse Flamethrower Earthquake Since your Dragonite is there pretty much just to hit and run, it might be worth considering Draco Meteor > Dragon Pulse. Also consider Fire Blast > Flamethrower if it's possible to OHKO Zong with it, run calcs and see. Moltres (lvl 100). Pressure, Naive, Leftovers. 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 4 Att Fire Blast Air Slash Roost Will-o-wisp/HP (Ground) I really don't see why you have Naive as it's nature =/ please change it to Timid please. Also HP (Fighting) will not OHKO Heatran, Hp (Ice) won't be touching Heatran so HP (Ground) is a pretty solid alternative. You can always have WoW for some status cause Moltres doesn't necessarily HAVE to take on Heatran one-on-one all the time cause you've got Vappy there. It might be worth considering LO > Leftovers as your Moltres doesn't have much Bulk under its belt and the recoil damge/SR can be roosted away. Ramparados (lvl 100). Only pkmn acceptable of running a set of this caliber is T.Tar. A SE Crunches BP is 160 while a STABed Stone Edges power is 150.. not much of a difference, Pursuit is alright since it actually nets you kills from fleeing foes. I messed around with it for a while and came up with this: 252 Hp, 84 Atk, 96 Def, 76 Sp. Def. Max lefties number, 96 Def for the added bonus point along with the Impish nature, 76 Sp. Def makes it the same number as Def so it can take hits from both sides of the spectrum and remainder in Atk. Crunch/Pursuit is fine on ScarfRampardos, as he's not going to be there very long as is.
Focus Punch doesn't necessarily work too well, as they'll just flee to something to take that mass hit from him. Pursuit / Crunch works well as something with his 471 max att Pursuit OHKO's quite a few fleeing foes. Also if your going to shoot off Sp. Atts with Dragonite, you should go with Lonely > Adament... |
Why are you using Naive on Moltres if you're not running a physical attack? ?_? (not like you should, excuse you.)
Also, Adamant reduces the power of Dragon Pulse and Flamethrower on D-Nite, so don't use it. Use Naive or something if you really want some Speed. |
