Disney's Bolt

Anyone planning on seeing this movie?

It looks like a great family comedy. This is the first animated movie that I have actually been excited to see since Pokemon back in the day when I was 10.

I am planing on going to the midnight release toninght.( I can't believe that there is a midnight release, but that just goes to show that they will midnight release anything these days.)

RYOUKI November 20th, 2008 8:52 PM

Yes, I'm planning to watch it. I really like this kind of movies that has a good plot line, so yeah. I am. If it shows here, that is.

Kaizer-X November 20th, 2008 9:08 PM

Yea same here, I am planning to watch it after the exams.
Man that hamster is really chubby.
And the trailer is kinda funny

I'm a sucker for a good family comedy. I see too many dark movies and read too much darker lit so it's easy to get jaded. It's nice to see a flick where everything that happens is just OK. I'm gonna hit it up, probably.

I saw it, and got a private screening for $6.50.

With out giving too much away, has the expected Disney ending, but it throws you for a couple of loops before doing so. (I honestly had no idea how they would do it.) but they did it.

In other news I felt like such an idiot being the only on in the movie theater.

Over all rating: 4.5/5

For ONCE the Animation Disaster Duo make something worth mentioning. Since Rattatoullie, I thought I'd go bananas by the horriblenessness.

The animation was OK, but, meh, the jokes still need working on. Disney exaggerates everything.

I was, but not anymore. It seems to childish, I mean a dog with superpowers? Seriously?

Superdog sucked

The movie isn't about a dog with superpowers, but a dog who thinks he has superpowers because he's been locked in a movie set his entire life.

To be fair, most family comedies seem fairly childish. The Madagascar series comes to mind (and they aren't too bad, either).

I am kind of disappointed that they just have celebrities do the voice acting. We've seen enough of Ben Stiller, Maryl Streep, and in this case Mylie Cyrus. I wish they'd get people who were more specialized in voice acting but hey, they want all of the Cyrus fans to go "womg time to see a movie with her voice" so I can't say I blame them.

I agree, Cyrus did not do a good job, Travolta did an excellent job however.

And the movie is pretty decent. It has several parts that are very funny.

It's more of a family movie that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside until you walk out of theater and realize that you don't have anybody.

Also, if you have the chance to see it in 3D, do it. It may cost a little more, but it is awesome. 3D technology has come along way.

RYOUKI November 25th, 2008 9:39 PM

Actually, I'm not a fan of Cyrus, but because she voiced Penny, I kinda got attracted to it. Cyrus has been using Hannah Montana as an advantage to get stardom, and it's probably one of this advantage.

It airs here in December 4 so I can't probably give much review it until then.

conicteam November 28th, 2008 11:57 AM

Heck yeah! John Travolta is my favorite actor!

Euphoric Magikarp November 29th, 2008 6:56 AM

I can't say that the story itself is to original, but that hamster makes me want to see it so bad.

Lol i am in it to see the hamster too. He looks funny...really

Wish November 29th, 2008 7:48 AM

I saw it in 3-D. When I saw the trailers, I was turned off by Cyrus' voice, but I got around it after watching the movie. The 3-D helped me keep my attention, but the format of the movie is the same one I saw in almost every kid's movie, but I guess it couldn't be helped. It had its share of ups and downs, but it wasn't bad. Still, why did Cyrus have to voice?

Cynic Kaka November 29th, 2008 8:29 AM

I saw it, but I noticed in the duets with Cyrus and Travolta, Cyrus's voice was ALWAYS louder than Travolta's.

Anyway, I give the movie a 3.5/5. Some jokes were a little overused, and I thought the idea of the movie was a little stupid.
