Wow, a D/P Team?
Yeah, they are pretty rare around these times. Everyone is using Platinum now, and D/P isn't getting all that much love now. Oh well, I still love it :D Especially when it crushes the major Platinum threats. So, time to introduce it? Would you like a preview? http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/b/bd/Spr_4p_407_f.png http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/8/80/Spr_4p_448.png http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/c/cb/Spr_4p_472.png http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/0/0d/Spr_4p_482.png http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/9/98/Spr_4p_242.png http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/c/cd/Spr_4p_134.png http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/roserade.png [email protected] Sash Natural Cure Timid Nature 252 SpA/252 Spe/6 HP Sleep Powder Toxic Spikes Leaf Storm/Grass Knot Hidden Power Fire Suicide lead Roserade. Not only does she always pull off a Sleep Powder against other leads/those who switch into here, but if it hits I'll usually get off at least one layer of Toxic Spikes. The rest of my team neglects using status attacks, mainly in the sense that these spikes will be up. Some Pokémon do resist the spikes, but it isn't any problem because they are pretty easy for my team to handle. http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/lucario.png [email protected] Orb Inner Focus Adamant nature 252 Atk/252 Spe/4 HP Swords Dance Close Combat Extreme Speed Crunch/Stone Edge SD Luke. I love this thing to death. It rips walls to shreds with its coverage it possesses. It is my main physical attacker that I possess. Pulls off so many sweeps it is ridiculous. Great for late game. Crunch so I'm not walled by ghosts, plus I can hit everything that Stone Edge hits for neutral coverage (at least) with the other two attacks. http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/gliscor.png [email protected] Sand Veil Impish Nature 252 HP/12 Atk/28 Def/218 Spe Stealth Rock Earthquake Fire Fang Roost Speedy Tank Gliscor. I run SR over Swords Dance because I'm not using this to really hit much, but the Atk EVs might be going to waste without it. Plus, I needed some SR support. Earthquake for general STAB. Fire Fang so Scizor doesn't run all over me in the Platinum populated Shoddy servers. When on Wi-Fi, I'll switch it over to Ice Fang. Roost for recovery. http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/azelf.png [email protected] Scarf Levitate Naive Nature 252 SpA/220 Spe/36 Atk Explosion Psychic Flamethrower Grass Knot Wow, someone actually USES Choice Scarf Azelf? Yep, they do. Not only is it a great Revenge Killer, it outruns Scarf Gar. 36 Atk EVs is to KO Blissey with Explosion if I no longer need Azelf. Psychic for the obvious STAB attack. Flamethrower and Grass Knot are there for coverage. http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/blissey.png [email protected] Natural Cure Calm Nature 252 Def/216 SpD/40 SpA Aromatherapy Ice Beam Seismic Toss Softboiled Pretty standard Cleric set. This is the set I usually use, as it covers status pretty well. Although she and Roserade both have Natural Cure, the rest of my team can't afford to be inflicted with status. Therefore Aromatherapy is there. Ice Beam and Seismic Toss are used for damaging while walling. Because I use Roserade's Toxic Spikes, I drop my status inflicting move for Seismic Toss. Softboiled for obvious healing. http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/vaporeon.png [email protected] Specs Water Absorb Modest Nature 252 SpA/252 Def/4 Spe Surf Ice Beam HP Electric Wish/Hydro Pump I love Vaporeon, especially the Choice Specs set. Not only does it provide me with some more Special Attacking force, it also counters Gyarados for me (Which pretty much destroys me :P). I use Wish over Hydro Pump for some wish passing, which never can hurt. RATE AWAY |
Wait, there's a difference between D/P and Platinum? I thought it was just every Pokemon got a bunch of crappy moves.
|
Lmao, yeah, that sounds about right XD Anyways, any rates XD

Thank you for clarifying that Fabian XD
Now can I actually get a rate >.< |

2) Um... no? Vaporeon has no business staying in on electrics anyway, and he needs HP Electric or else he's setup fodder for Gyarados. |
There is alot of off topic posting here and some generally iffy and questionable rates which i have deleted.
So firstly i suggest we stay to the topic at hand, that being rating the team and secondly please learn before trying to rate, we understand you are trying to help but guiding people down the wrong path isnt benefitting anyone. Thanks. |
Thanks for deleting the useless ones :)
Now, how about a GOOD rate! (And a troll XD) |

Blah. Sorry. I get mixed up. And was thinking of mainly pokemon strong against Vaporeon. Not other waters that may take him/her out. Sorry. |
Yeah, I'm still actually looking for a rate, I haven't gotten one yet >.<
|
okay Jake, I think you deserve a rate...I have the time for one, although not extremely helpful if anything.
First off, just keep things left-aligned. It makes it SO MUCH easier to read. In terms of the team, it's rather solid. Resistances, counter potential, it seems pretty good. However, one thing that is flawed is your Azelf and what you say it outruns. Timid ScarfGar (the common) still beats it. You'd have to go Naive to beat it. I'm going to be honest with you here, and it might just be my opinion, but I can see Electivire being a nuisance here. If it gets a Motor Drive boost from Vappy's HP Electric, it smacks a ton of this team around. However, I can't stress the rarity of this situation seeing as you have only one electric attack on this team. You'd probably have to explode on it with Azelf to remove it, and that is easily prevented by switching. I'm unsure of Psychic's damage against Vire, so I could be wrong. Still, call it a decent threat and be wary. I'll stop being misleading now >_>. That's all I have though. |
Better than what I've had XD I'll change that nature now :P

If it's a DP team why are you using fire Fang for Scizor on Gliscor ?_?
I largely do not see the point of Roserade. nothing on this team can really take advantage of Toxic Spikes. Your sweeper doesn't even take advantage of them and I think it's just a total waste of a moveslot. Use Ice Fang on Gliscor. LO DD Dragonite is 6-0ing this team otherwise, and while they aren't common, they aren't uncommon either. Vaporeon can't survive its Outrage. also, I see Chocie Scarf Azelf being a liability (much like I do with ScarfGar). Not only that, but Blissey and Gliscor actually wall most of what it revenge kills (besides SDcross, but that's not too common and it can't switch in on anything bar Blissey, which should be getting Thunder Wave or Flamethrower anyways). For how easy it is to set up on, I don't see the merit in using it. I would actually use LO Azelf, which is mostly the same set (U-Turn >>> GK though). If revenge kills SDcross still, but now everything in the metagame doesn't take total advantage of it every time it makes an appearance. I think this has potential to be a decent bulky offense team if you get rid of the fluff. Roserade and Azelf is what I'm talking about here mostly. |
I honestly don't know what makes people think Scarf Azelf is remotely good. It has a worse typing than Gengar, less things to switch in on, and practically no way to hurt Gyarados and Tyranitar (yours at least). The only option is to use Explosion, which isn't going to OHKO Tyranitar, and having to lose your only true defense against a YacheNite isn't favorable at all if you ask me. I stand by my opinion that changing Azelf to Gengar will let you revenge kill a wider array of threats, and have a more reliable revenge killer. Azelf just doesn't cut it considering it's inferior to Gengar (that's probably the first time anyone's ever said that. Ever).
Let's see, I really want to see some more bulk on Gliscor, since HP Ice Luke is pretty rare nowadays. If you'd like, then you could just run Max/Max on it to ensure you can handle things like Dragon Dance and Choice Band Tyranitar better, since nothing on your team is going to be switching in without being 2HKO'd. You could choose to run enough to outspeed 88 Spe variants (I think it already outspeeds it with no EVs) ? <--- Need confirmation on this. So, in closing, bulk > Speed on Gliscor, and Gengar > Azelf in terms of revenge killing. I'd like to have another sweeper over Roserade, since Lucario is your only dedicated sweeper, although Vaporeon could in theory be "useful" (lacks speed to efficiently net KOs). An early threat that destroys Screens and still hits hard can be useful. Something like Metagross can be used, with Brick Break. Although it may seem silly, Metagross takes out all the common Suicide Leads in 2 hits, taking Focus Sash into account (or 1 hit, if they use Light Clay). A bulky variant used to handle Azelf, Alakazam, etc...is an idea worth noting if Screens give you trouble. Though you could just stall them out. |
This team has had it's fun
