Britney's Adventure into Uncharted Territory

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpiconani/dpiconani376.gif

Metagross @ Lum Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 240 HP/70 Atk/200 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Meteor Mash
- Brick Break
- Bullet Punch
- Stealth Rock

Not really enjoying him. Something just feels off when I use him. Meteor Mash for massive STAB, Brick Break to shatter screens, Bullet Punch for priority and Stealth Rock to nab me kills. Given to me by Dark_Azelf (There, there's my stupid role description. >:o)

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpiconani/dpiconani398.gif

Staraptor (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Return
- Brave Bird
- Close Combat
- U-turn

Revenge Killer. Nothing resists Return/Brave Bird/Close Combat besides Rotom who Staraptor has no place staying in on anyway. U-Turn is basically a filler move I'll never use.

Slowbro (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP/200 Def/58 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Ice Beam
- Slack Off

Gyarados and somewhat Salamence counter (SOMEWHAT). Lacking oomph though so I might change around EVs a bit. Not sure. Open to replacing (thinking offensive Suicune).

Snorlax (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/6 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Body Slam
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Pursuit

One of my favorite sets. Body Slam is astounding and powerful. Earthquake let's me counter Heatran. Fire Punch slams Bronzong in it's dumb, stupid, ugly face. Pursuit nets me kills on Rotom. Counters Zapdos as well who can't really breach Snorlax's defenses without Metal Sound.

Lucario (M) @ Petaya Berry
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 6 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Aura Sphere
- Shadow Ball
- Agility
- Substitute

A little set I thought of. Aura Sphere and Shadow Ball have unparalleled coverage. I switch into something I know will run. Agility on the switch. Use Substitute repeatedly until I active Petaya Berry. Then Sweep with +2 Speed and Special Attack. (I figured out earlier why I wasn't netting OHKO - I was missing all of my EVs lol).

Rotom-h @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Overheat
- Hidden Power [Fighting] / Trick

Most people expect Choice Scarf so when I net 90%~ damage on their Pokemon, they're usually shocked. May join the bandwagon and throw Trick on there.

TYRANITAR WEAK.

No, but honestly, this team is hurt bad by YacheMence. Your Slowbro, even with Max/Max takes no less than 56.60% from a +1 DD Outrage. It proceeds to 2-HKO your entire team from there...Now, instead of investing in a counter, you could make that Staraptor Jolly to not only Intimidate it, but also take it out even after a single Dragon Dance. Ice Beam from your Slowbro does enough with Ice Beam that a Jolly Staraptor's Brave Bird will take it out from.

Good team overall.

I like this team, though it would have been better if your username was Mariah Carey so that the title would be a really awesome (yet bad) pun about the whole chart success and yeah...lol

The CBlax EVs don't really make sense though imo. the HP Evs to SDef makes a lot more sense to me. You lose some overall defense, but your overall special defense skyrockets, which is really useful for switching in on stuff like LO Celebi and Starmie, especially given its lack of recovery.

I feel like Wish support would be really nice. Your have 3 choice item users which will take a beating from SR and switching into weaker attacks (well, it will add up). I like Vaporeon over Slowbro to provide that, but in case you don't want to replace that...I would use Jirachi over Metagross. Jirachi actually isn't a bad lead given its access to Thunder wave and a 60% para chance Thunder or Body Slam, and it can set up SR. The Wish support would really be useful though imo

Otherwise I like this team. Props for using Staraptor =D but aaaaaaa choice scarf >=(

Yache Dragonite has been a big problem too. I'm considering switching EVs/Moves around on Metagross because the Special Defense EVs haven't been much of a help. Either that or throw Reflect over Brick Break. I'm not sure.

Shut up Anti xD

Yeah, and I'm overall disgusted by the 31-34% Snorlax has been taking from Heatran's Fire Blast. I was considering this.

Jirachi. Hmmm... I also didn't realize I had three Choice users until just now. That makes me feel vulnerable.

Otherwise I like this team. Props for using Staraptor =D but aaaaaaa choice scarf >=(

It's a revenge killer. >:(

Jirachi @ ???
Nature: Impish ???
EVs: ???
Serene Grace

Zen Headbutt
Body Slam
Wish
???

I'm used to using TrickScarfJirachi, so I'm not sure what I'm doing. I don't like the fact that I have three Choice Users either. I'm thinking a slight change on Snorlax's item but the same move set (no RestTalk set).

You know, there IS an EV spread that lets Meta survive a Jolly Garchomp's EQ...I think it doesn't even require Def EVs, so yours should, therefore letting it live Salamence's.

luke November 29th, 2008 10:22 AM

All I need is Stealth Rock on the set and I'll be happy.
