Harry Potter and :

Which Harry Potter book was the best?

For me, its the Deathly Hallows. Its the Best: Period.

Sorcerors stone, or Philosophers stone as it's known by in England. It was the first one I read all those years ago and I don't think the film did it justice.

El Gofre November 30th, 2008 3:21 AM

Half-blood prince was my fave, it's where they started to get serious.

Mitchman November 30th, 2008 3:34 AM

Half blood prince. I loved it and it was really a step up from all the others.

LethalTexture November 30th, 2008 5:45 AM

It's a toss-up between GoF and OotP for me. I think Book V just edges it.

Blazers November 30th, 2008 6:09 AM

I am recently listening to the half blood prince on audio book.
I'm only on chapter 4 but i am really hooked. =)

I'm fixed with Deathly Hallows being the best one. The first chapter, in my opinion, was better than just about all of the novels before hand. By far my favorite as well.

Spoiler:
Though the epilogue was possibly the worst chapter. I felt it was rushed and not detailed enough with other people. :/

Favorite? PoA, GoF, or OotF. They were all very important to me since my childhood. PoA was read to me by my mother and was my favorite nostalgia wise. GoF was the best movie to me and my favorite content wise. Finally, OotF was another nostalgic book for me that would get in trouble for reading it at 1:ooam during a school camping trip. Also, I liked the climax in both the book and the movie.

I laugh at the twilight vs Harry Potter ad above me.

Sentret November 30th, 2008 8:31 AM

I liked the prisoner of Azkaban the most but all of them were good

Cynic Kaka November 30th, 2008 9:54 AM

In order of Books:

4, 6, 2, 3, 1, 5, 7

They rushed book 7 too much

Caelus November 30th, 2008 11:46 AM

My favorite book is a tie between Order of The Pheonix(sp?) and Deathly Hallows.

OoTP because that's where they get sirius, and becuase that book is 893 pages of fun.
and DH because of the climax at the end, probably the most intense part in a Harry Potter book.

And here's my scale of Favorite to least favorite: DH, OoTP, GoF, H-BP, PoA, SS, CoS.
Sorry if it looks bad, it would have been much bigger.

I liked the Sorrseres stone a lot also. It was pretty good. I honestly didnt like 3 cause Voldemort wasent in it...

Ramsie November 30th, 2008 7:50 PM

It's between the Prisoner of Azkaban, the Goblet of Fire, and the Order of the Phoenix. I think the Prisoner of Azkaban wins though because two of my favorite characters are in it.

Goblet of Fire was where the series peaked, for me. Deathly Hallows was getting there for me, but
Spoiler:
the epilogue ruined it completely.

torferno lvl-X December 1st, 2008 8:22 AM

For me, the deathly hallows.
Did you know that they've just released a new book "The tales of Beadle the Bard"

Spinor December 1st, 2008 7:33 PM

Half-Blood prince was the most entertaining for me. I only got through half of Deathly Hallows but I lost interest for some reason. :\

Plus, it had the most controversial events. HBP was pretty good.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (published in the United States as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone)
HOW DISGRACEFUL OF AMERICA

But indeed, I don't read them; tried the first book a bit but didn't feel drawn in at all.

RedJ December 5th, 2008 7:26 PM

Deathly Hallows. No competition. It was the darkest, most violent (around 50 of the main characters were killed, so...). And if you havent read any of them, you could pick it up and love it anyway. Though you may be in the dark on some details, its still a good story all on its own.
