Broken Clock in Crystal

Hi, in my Pokemon crystal game (internal battery replaced 90 hours of play ago) the clock seems to jump around with days and times. It will stay on track sometimes, say it will be Sunday at 12:00 o'clock, it will stay on track recording time correctly for a day then next time I turn it on (could be same day) it will say Tuesday at 5:00. Does anyone know if this is just a glitch or is my game broken.

I think your game is broken, but I'm using VBA to play my Crystal, so I'm not sure.

Your game boy clock must been damage or you may cause a glitch in the game if you were hacking your game at any time. ;]

Maybe you should try starting a new game? That might help? If not then you're game is screwed :|

I think i may have started happening after i dropped it, I wasn't hacking it or anything, and I just want to be sure that my saved game will be intact, any info would be greatly appreciated.

The internal battery can often be linked to the clock... seeing as some of the information for the game is stored there. It could be possible that your battery is running dry. I'd say to get a new one but we're all into the ROM age now, so why not?

i know its the battery!!!:) when u bought the battery did u check the voltage and amps because if u didnt the battery makes the clock run fast and it could eventuall fry ur game:(

the battery is the right voltage (cr2025) idk what happened but for the past 3 days it has been on track, I guess ill just change the time back with a gameshark or something, but if anyone can shed anymore light on this mishap it would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm....do u hack ?

That's generally a sign that your internal battery is about to lose its charge, or possibly that you affected the game in a way that harmed the way data is saved. Which would probably be by dropping it, or the excessive use of a cheating device.

Anyways, you got lucky. Most of the time when the save data acts like that, the save is gone from the game soon after.

This has never happened to me, but I am sorry to hear that. Get well soon. Crystal...
