Wow, let's see...
  • It's incorrect. (seeing as how revamping also requires making sure the sprite is facing in the correct direction, reshading, and fixing the outline IN ADDITION TO recoloring the sprite).
  • It's messy... I couldn't follow any of it.
  • It's in a Word Document... and not everyone can afford MSWord. You might want to put it into a PDF file or something of the sort.

I was about to reply by saying that wasn't very nice...BUT...I went to open the document and it crashed my computer...It took forever for it to boot back up!!! It made me angry...You should definatly put it in PDF file...

You know, everything you've put in the document could be put in a post? It's much more convenient and easier for others that way. If you really want a text document, I would personally suggest an .rtf, as it's transferable to a plethora of word processors, so you're less likely to cause a crash. =)

As for the tutorial itself...you really haven't taught anyone much by just explaining recolours. You showed a pallet bar and the finished product, rather than any details or tips. Granted, recolours are pretty basic, but you could segue into revamps with new sizing, shading, etc. to help work people up to making more original works. I wouldn't say the tutorial is bad so much as it needs a bit of work and definitely some more material in it.

slightly deppressing that all the post are infavorable but i give, i made this tut originally for a guy with no idea of spriting. so he asked me. but ill see if i can turn it into pdf

It's in a better format, yes, but it's still messy, and it's still wrong. All you've taught is that you can recolor a sprite. You didn't even explain how to recolor a sprite. As for revamping, that's another thing you didn't even begin to cover. Revamping =/= Recoloring.
