A triple banana smoothie with a Regigigas on top!

Hello fellow PC members
I made a new team (YAY)

Here it is:

http://www.smogon.com/download/sprites/dp/376.png
*How Ironic* (Metagross) @ Leftovers
Adamant
204 HP/76 Atk/224 SpD

Meteor Mash
Bullet Punch
Stealth Rock
Earthquake

I basically *stole* this from ABYAY. Gets rid of those nasty suicide leads. A nice lead. Meteor Mash and Bullet Punch to pwn suicide leads. Stealth Rock (in case you've been hibernating or something for the last month you should know what this is for).

*Zeus* (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Bold
252 HP/220 Def/36 Spe

Discharge
Heat Wave
Substitute
Roost

My tradmark Zapdos. Switch into the ever common Scizor and sub because Scizor is too precious to lose. Puts me in a good condition to take down whatever thay switch in if I can take it on.

*wtf am I?* (Bronzong) @ Light Clay
Relaxed
252 HP/152 Atk/104 Def

Reflect
Light Screen
Earthquake
Hypnosis

In my latest battles I have seen how ever important Dual Screens are. Sleep stuff I can't take on and switch to a counter.

http://pkmn.net/sprites/platinum/242.png
*Sexy* (Blissey) @ Leftovers
Calm
252 Def/212 SpD/44 SpA

Wish
Protect
Toxic
Ice Beam

Just like Dual Screens, Wish support has also proved to be essential for a team in my recent battles. Ice Beam for Dragons.

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/3/34/094.png
*Undertaker* (Gengar) @ Choice Scarf
Timid
252 SpA/252 Spe/4 HP

Shadow Ball
HP [Ice]
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast

Favourite revnge killer Focus Blast for Blissey and Tyranitar

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/6/64/212.png
*Don't run with Scissors!* (Scizor) @ Life Orb
Adamant
84 HP/252 Atk/172 Spe

Swords Dance
Bullet Punch
Superpower/Brick Break
Roost

Shame on you guys for using CB Scizor! SD Scizor is awesoem! Bullet Punch is debatedly the best Platinum addition ever! Superpower or Brick Break? You decide.

Any harsh criticism appreciated as long as you know what you're doing!
Rate Away.

Archer December 11th, 2008 5:59 AM

Ok, it looks pretty solid, but I'll do a full rate later.

One thing that concerns me (it happens to be a threat to most teams) is the problem with CB Tyranitar.
Nothing can switch in without taking a huge chunk. Only Gengar (hi Pursuit!) and Scizor can effectively kill it, as Metagross is underpowered without much Atk investment or a CB. 2HKOd (iirc) by Crunch/EQ, so they only have to play around it. With Scizor, it can't really set up on TTar, and is underpowered without a CB. You need a more solid counter to it and DD/MixMence.

I guess one other thing I've noticed, is the lack of immediate power on your team. Gengar is the only thing that can effectively strike without setting up to a degree, and the Scarf set is hardly gutsy.
This wouldn't be much of a problem if you didn't seem to have any other way of doing damage other than chipping away at the opponent's health. Plus it's pretty sad that you are walled by SkarmBliss.

Don't take anything that I say personally, you have a decent team here and obviously know what you are doing, but the team lacks a sense of purpose and direction. An issue that can reduce any team's general success and likability. I'll come back with suggestions on what to do with this.

Ayouki Emerald December 11th, 2008 6:21 AM

Great team layout! EPIC SD, and I agree with Scizor used that way...

I'd rather prefer the movesets of Bronzong to be:

[email protected]
Trait:Levitate
Sassy
EV's 252 HP / 86 Atk / 80 Def / 92 SpD

Gyro Ball
Stealth Rock
Hypnosis
Earthquake

Reflect or Light Screen can be used if you feel your team could use the support. I alays used SW Bronzong, but it's your decision.

Great set, the only problem I see with it though is that it's missing 4 EVs =/

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Bold
252 HP/220 Def/36 Spe

Discharge
Heat Wave
Substitute
Roost
Timid 176 Spd should probably be the standard now for Lucario, unless you are confident that Reflect will always be up then you may disregard this comment, though it's never wise to rely on situational scenarios.

Bronzong @ Light Clay
Relaxed
252 HP/152 Atk/104 Def

Reflect
Light Screen
Earthquake
Hypnosis

Unfortunately the Attack EVs don't accomplish much without Gyro Ball, and having them there for the sake of having them is kinda meh, you could put them into S.Def instead since you are lacking in that department.

Scizor @ Life Orb
Adamant
84 HP/252 Atk/172 Spe

Swords Dance
Bullet Punch
Superpower/Brick Break
Roost
This particular spread is odd. you only need 164 EVs to outspeed minimum speed Cresselia and Suicune, you dont need to waste 8 EVs playing the speed game when most other Scizor either run Max Speed or 4 Speed.

120 HP/ 224 Atk/ 164 Spd

Would be better, outspeeds what it needs to and is bulkier, it also allows 10 attacks with Life Orb and survive with 1 HP afterwards.

Opt for Superpower, this way you hit Heatran and Magnezone switch ins extremely hard, OHKOing them where as Brick Break will not.

Here it is:

Metagross @ Leftovers

208 HP/76 Atk/224 SpD You forgot to put 4 more EVs.

Meteor Mash
Bullet Punch
Stealth Rock
Earthquake

Timid maybe...
252 HP/220 Def/36 Spe

Discharge
Heat Wave
Substitute
Roost

Bronzong @ Light Clay
Relaxed
252 HP/154 SpD/104 Def

Reflect
Light Screen
Gyro Ball
Hypnosis

Blissey @ Leftovers
Bold
252 Def/212 SpD/44 SpA

Wish
Protect
Toxic
Ice Beam

Just like Dual Screens, Wish support has also proved to be essential for a team in my recent battles. Ice Beam for Dragons. This is indestructable if you screen with Bronzong.

Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Modest Why make him faster since he already has CS? He could even outrun a Jolteon with max IVs, EVs in speed.
252 SpA/252 Spe/4 HP

Shadow Ball
Trick
Thunderbolt/ HP [Ice]
Focus Blast

Favourite revnge killer Focus Blast for Blissey and Tyranitar

Scizor @ Life Orb
Adamant
32 HP/252 Atk/224 Spe

Swords Dance
Bullet Punch
Superpower I prefer Super Power
Roost

Changes are in bold, I am amazed on what great typing (grass, fire, etc.) you did.

Skip Shot December 11th, 2008 3:35 PM

shaodw, Gengar wants Timid to outspeed DDTAR after two DD's. Also, BOld BLissey is outdated, use Calm.

One main thing I find weird with this team is the speed. The speed is pretty average (albeit ScarfGar), but you still have to watch out for things that outspeed everyone besides Gar and don't get OHKO'ed by Gar, as they can revenge kill pretty much the rest of your team. Minus Gross (who won't be in for so long IMO) and ScarfGar, Mixape scores SE on the rest of your team, and can pretty much destroy them, since Zapdos is more physically defensive. I would also opt for a RestTalk Machamp somewhere on the team to counter your bad CBTar weak.

Goldeneyes December 12th, 2008 1:49 AM

I might throw a resttalk machamp or a Swampert here to deal with TTar but over who?
I was considering Wishbliss to be replaced but I am reluctant to give up Wish support

Archer December 12th, 2008 1:59 AM

For the record, Swampert can't really take TTar effectively. CB Crunch is like a 2HKO iirc.

Goldeneyes December 13th, 2008 9:10 PM

It works because it switches into an obvious Stone Edge directed at Zapdos
Plus, with Reflect up it would survive.

Renyui! December 14th, 2008 3:38 AM

Well, i've never rated a team before, but here goes..

That Zapdos looks pretty nice. I'd also say make the Blissey bold, for that move set.
Nice team altogether.
