SegaSaturnGal December 13th, 2008 4:48 PM

I'm sorry about what happened...well, at least it gives you the opportunity to try Cyndaquil.

magix7 December 13th, 2008 4:53 PM

Thanks...i thought i was doing good too... :(

well i should follow my description. Im done for the day. c ya!

Haza December 15th, 2008 6:08 PM

You know what. That same thing just happened to my cousin but now his battery is dead on it.

The warden December 16th, 2008 2:39 AM

yep similar thing happend to me twice in the past(only ever on b not on my g,s,r,s,fr,e games) some one would borrow my game and save over it normally i just got on and played from where they save but it is annoying.

The first time

Having someone else write over my game even though i didn't lend to the person who wrote over it is really annoying and one of my fiends had just gave me a mew :( but i did another mew a few months later.

The second time

Then again it can be funny to, having a player called "asch" because your cousin can't spell Ash is rather amusing, i kept the file as a joke just to wind him up, and i did get a level 98 snorlax from the "asch" game so it wasn't all that bad.

*~Frost Umbreon~* December 16th, 2008 2:41 AM

That happened to me when I started over my Crystal, I had a level 27 Croconaw in Ilex Forest, but I didn't know how to use TMs and HMs. He would've become epic...

MrsMime December 17th, 2008 5:33 PM

When one door closes, another door opens, hey?

SkyPioneer December 17th, 2008 7:05 PM

All I have to say is lol, and why where you changing PC boxes anyway? Another thing, it gives you a warning before you save, and you failed to heed it?!
It's a bit much to call an accident, isn't it?

Or you could use the cloning glitch to get all 3 starters....thats just me though

Reality_is_a_Dream December 18th, 2008 10:34 AM

I have had my games restarted by accident by countless people. I'm sorry to hear that.

Eruption December 18th, 2008 10:36 AM

Sorry to hear but in truth the internal battery will probably run out soon anyway.

I'd love to replay Gold so its quite a chance actually.

But satisfaction brought it back.

Sorry. When Pokemon was new and Yellow just came out, my brother started his game. He was pretty far. He let our little cousin play for a bit and she saved over his game. I think he still doesn't like her much. So how far were you in the game anyways?

Guest123_x1 December 18th, 2008 5:39 PM

auto-save?

The way the topic post was written is as if the game automatically saved without any user intervention (i.e. leaving your game for a few minutes and it saves-all by itself).
If that's the case (games auto-saving without user intervention), then I don't think that sort of problem has ever happened with me.

However, I did a few times accidentally save at certain points I knew I didn't want to be, and regretted them.

ChibiVamp December 19th, 2008 11:08 AM

yeah that happened to me with my ruby game.... i felt so stupid afterwards...

It prompts you to save the game when you change boxes in the pre-Gen III games due to the technical limitations of the game cartridges, if I remember correctly, so that's the problem that the OP had.

Urgh, that happened to me while changing boxes at a different occasion.
I saved right before the Bug-Catching Contest to catch Pinsirs which I would teach Hidden Power and test out if they had HP Bug at a high power. Then I had to Move Pokémon W/O Mail to take it out and WHAM! I had to wait two more days to be able to redo the contest (by soft-resetting you know) and to find a better Pinsir. I released that Pinsir in rage, but that was alright since I didn't need it anyways.

It is a dangerous road to access the PC when you don't wish for the overwriting of your precious save file.
