Another attempt at Platfail.(OU)

This teams got me some good success in the ladder, but everything can be improved, so a good RMT on it would be great ^_^
Team:

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpmfa/dpmfa286.png
Breloom (M) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 44 HP/252 Atk/212 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Mach Punch

Good anti-lead, Considering Protect over Substiute for the Sleep Powder/ Hypnosis leads, EV spread allows it to get the best recovery from Poison Heal, and its faster than Adament TTar and Gliscor's base

---

Flygon (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Outrage
- Quick Attack
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch

This scares away half the metagame, and laughs at those who are over predicting, immune to switch in hazards is nice, and thunder wave doesnt cripple it, with a speed of 327 it outspeeds a fair amount of bulky walls, and proceeds to dent them.

Gengar (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt

One of the best revenge killers ever,HP Ice for dragons and Zapdos switch-ins, Focus Blast lols at Snorlax, doing around 40%, Shadow Ball for STAB, and I dont know why Thunderbolt is there, so another good move would be usefull
---
http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpmfa/dpmfa376.png
Metagross @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Trick
- Stealth Rock
- Meteor Mash
- Explosion

This thing isnt just a good lead, its good late game, screwing up anything which sets up (Lol Scizor) and gets rocks up, then dents them with STAB or blows up on them.

http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpmfa/dpmfa230.png
Kingdra (Kingdra) (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Draco Meteor
- Hydro Pump
- Blizzard/ Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Electric]

Sort of Gyrados Counter, they dont stay in on this beast, and its mostly the element of surprise, Hydro Pump is a nice move, Draco Meteor lols and Vappy, Blizzard is there for increased power, but Ice Beam is the sturdy ice move, and HP Electric stops Suicine, Gyrados and Vappy from getting in
---
http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites/dpmfa/dpmfa145.png
Zapdos @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 6 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power GRASS
- Thunderbolt
- Heat Wave
- U-Turn

Outspeeding Gyrados after 1 DD, it OHKO's it with Tbolt, Discharge is there for my Parahax support, Heat Wave lols at Scizor, and Extrasensory for lack of a better move.

Everyone who gives a good rate gets a free MissingNo.

a better moveset would have to be
Zapdos @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 6 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- hp ice
- Thunderbolt
- Heat Wave
- u turn
u dont need 2 electric attacks!discharge will para but you will still be faster with scarf
hp ice>>>>extrasensory
as it kills dragons!

Discharge is there to spread status to benefit the rest of the team, and aids zapdos against other scarf users. I agree with HP Ice>>>Extrasensory though.

yeah but discharge has only 30% chance and t-bolt is more powerful.give me a situation when you would rather use discharge over a t-bolt and hope for para hax?

You switch Zapdos in on an opponent's Gyarados, who has just killed your active.
He switches out, knowing that he'll eat a Thunderbolt otherwise.
Zapdos uses Discharge on whatever he sends in.
Hooray! Opponent is paralyzed!

Of course, they may send in a Ground type to absorb Discharge. But that's what HP Ice is for.

Alex31 December 14th, 2008 7:34 AM

Changed Zappy to HP ice.
I would use Discharge over Tbolt if I was against any kind of wall, parahax could stop them making that rest.

Max™ December 14th, 2008 8:13 AM

go for thunderbolt, the overall damage youll benefit overall since the only person thatll need the para would be breloom, and maybe kingdra and scarfgross
Id go for tbolt

t-bolt would do overall more damage and you cannot switch attacks with scarf so your better of just using hp ice on gyra so the counter gets hit.he might out predict you but you have to see the way to go!

Discharge on a Scarfer isn't wise...like at all. Use Thunderbolt / Heat Wave / HP Grass / U-Turn.

Skip Shot December 14th, 2008 2:57 PM

WAYYYYY too many choice users on one team. 5 choice users means the metagame can use you as setup fodder while you're forced to switch.

I recommend taking choice items off of two of those Pokemon, and switching them around, because most of these Pokemon depend on the Choice Items.

A. Make Metagross your lead. Trick Scarfing disables most suicideers these days.
B. Change the Specs on Gar to a Scarf. Change the Nature to Timid.
C. Your team would welcome some wish support, so put Wish Vappy>> SpecsDra
Vappy @ Lefties
Bold Nature
252 HP/ 252 Def/ 6 Spa
Surf
Ice Beam/Protect
HP Electric
Wish

D. I would put Stone Edge>> Sub on Breloom, since it isn't your lead anymore.

E. Change Zappy to MixMence, still puts the brakes on Luke/Scizor.

Salamence @ Life Orb
Rash Nature
176 Spe/ 252 Spa/ 80 Atk

Draco Meteor
Fire blast
Brick Break
Roost

Matt-O December 14th, 2008 6:57 PM

Why are Gon and Gar both Hasty, when neither of them are mixed? Make them Jolly and Timid respectively.

The Hero Without a Name December 14th, 2008 9:46 PM

Actually, Flygon wants to be Adamant, or else he'll miss out on some really crucial 2HKO's (like on the Bulky waters).

. December 15th, 2008 4:03 PM

Adamant on Choice Band Flygon is a must. Like Fabian said, most of its 2HKOs rely on that Attack boosting nature. It's like SD Luke, except it relies on prediction a lot less. The moveset also needs some adjusting; Quick Attack? Not only is it a complete waste of a moveslot, but on a Choice Bander, you're making yourself even more set up fodder for things like Dragon Dance Tyranitar, who smacks your team hard with a Life Orb and a set of Crunch/EQ/Stone Edge. Nothing on your team resists it besides Breloom, who cannot stand to a Stone Edge boosted by Life Orb.

Breloom is not a good Anti-Lead like that. It's too slow to Focus Punch in the early game, so you might as well make it a "real" Anti lead; Spore/Protect/Mach Punch/Seed Bomb. Anti-lead Machamp could work decent as well, but whatever.

I don't see the reason to use 5 choice users. It makes you complete set up fodder for 99% of the teams today, and you'll end up losing a lot of your matches due to constantly switching out.
