Azelf @ Focus Sash
Levitate
Naive nature (+Spe, -SpD)
Atk 4/ SpA 252/ Spe 252
~ Stealth Rock
~ Psychic
~ Fire Blast
~ Explosion

Sets up stealth rock and then sweeps or just blows up in their face.

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/1/12/Ani143MS.png

Snorlax @ Choice Band
Thick Fat
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpA)
HP 146/ Atk 252/ Def 112
~ Body Slam
~ Earthquake
~ Fire Punch
~ Pursuit

Snorlax makes one hell of a CBer, I love this set so much!

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/4/47/Ani134MS.png

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Water Absorb
HP 188/SpA 68/Def 252
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
~ Wish
~ Surf
~ Ice Beam
~ Hidden Power [Electric]

Walls all sorts of attacks and drinks up all the water, it takes out what it can
with Surf and Ice Beam. Provides Wish support. HP Electric for Gyarados and such.

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/1/18/Ani094MS.png

Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Levitate
HP 4/SpA 252/Spe 252
Modest nature (+SpA, -Atk)
~ Shadow Ball
~ Focus Blast
~ Thunderbolt
~ Hidden Power [Ice]

Scarfgar the revenge killer, fast and powerful!

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/b/b4/Ani212MS.png

Scizor @ Life Orb
Technician
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpA)
HP 84/ Atk 252/ Spe 172
~ Sword Dance
~ Bullet Punch
~ X-Scissor
~ Roost

Bullet Punch made Scizor what it is and as it is a priority move and I only
have one other attack I chose to invest the standard set's speed EVs into HP.

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/5/59/Ani248MS.png

Tyranitar @ Expert Belt
Sand Stream
Quiet nature (+SpA, -Spe)
HP 100/ Atk 128/ SpA 252/ Spe 28
~ Dark Pulse
~ Super Power
~ Fire Blast
~ Ice Beam

Mixtar over Mixmence for me anyday, doesn't have the speed but instead a very sturdy beast.
I thought up this set with the EVs and nature boosting its quite high special attack to
a very high level to support a STAB Dark Pulse.

Atk 252/ 252 sp.def /6 hp

You get more survivability in sp.def this way. Def evs are pointless tbh.

Quiet nature (+SpA, -Spe)
HP 100 / Atk 128 / SpA 252 / 28 speed
~ Dark Pulse
~ Super Power
~ Fire Blast

~ Ice Beam

Please, is a much better wall breaker. Since super power, you know, does more than 2 to blissey lol. 28 speed to outpace said blissey.

comments in bold.

Yeah...

No rock reist is kinda bad, id look for something like CB Pert >> Snorlax, at least then you wont have to sacrifice a poke just to get scizor in unscathed to revenge CB Tar..

Mr. Epic December 15th, 2008 2:36 PM

Okay, EVs will change but I don't see how having extremely high special defence and low defence helps snorlax survive
On Vapy I might go with HP Electric for Gyarados and I will change the TTar set

before I reply, i just want to say that VM u sent was pretty annoying. :/

Snorlax's main function is a special wall. HP gives it a some survivability anyways on the physical side, so Lax doesn't have to shove all of its EVs into Dfense like Blissey does. D_A is right on the CBTar weak, but I wouldn't use Pert because CB Crunch can 2HKO. Either CB or RestTalk Champ (preferably the latter) can work, as well as Hariyama, who can provide parahax with Force Palm.

Sorry Just thought it was funny :B
anyway it is CBlax so its just my very tough attacker that I wanted to be able to take attacks from both sides of the spectrum and thanks for the advice :)

Well he does have scizor for CB Crunches, but yeah you could do that.

I don't see the point of using Mixed Tyranitar without an Agility/Rock Polish pass. MixMence/MixApe function well because they have the potential to outrun many common sweepers while also KOing walls. Common things like Heracross, Lucario, and Metagross outrun that Tyranitar and easily deliver a switch KO. The metagame adjusted to speed, not necessarily power, and ironically, MixMence is faster and more powerful than MixTar. I don't see the need to use MixTar, since MixNite is faster, has an arguably better typing, access to Roost, less weaknesses, and has better moves to work with (Draco Meteor is what I'm referring to).

Dragonite @ Life Orb
Rash
114 Att/200 SpA/196 Spe
Superpower
Draco Meteor
Fire Blast
Roost

This destroys a vast majority of walls, while also able to switch in easier. It still OHKO's Blissey, and hurts a lot more with Draco Meteor. It's also nice since it resists Fighting, and isn't screwed over by Scizor's Bullet Punch.

I reccomend maxing out HP and Defense on Vaporeon, to better take on things like Gyarados and Infernape, as both are wising up to the water dog and running sets to defeat it. Those Special Attack EVs are pointless, since you still 2HKO Gyarados with HP Electric, which is all that matters.

Honestly I don't see the role CB lax plays on your team.
It's almost as easy to wall as Taurus, while having admittedly better stats.
For said Tyranitar weakness, Intimidate Hitmontop works really well against all TTars. With really high base SpDef and Intimidate it can come in on pretty much anything (including a DD variant, the only problem is that it gets outsped without mach punch). Some say technician > intimidate, but hitmontop takes hits much better with it. It also makes it easier to use sucker punch instead of pursuit/toxic to get rid of gengars/weakened enemies. Def drops from CC aren't really problems as it isn't supposed to stay in for very long.

Unlike Tauros, Snorlax has a viable move (Fire Punch) to deal with Steel-types, so it's not the same as Tauros.
