Diamond/Pearl Battling

When battling in these games, how do you do it? Do you use the buttons? Touch Screen? Both?

I use the touch screen more often, it is faster to me.

~Kavin~ December 25th, 2008 5:42 PM

Both but mainly the buttons. I use the touch screen when I'm feeling lazy

TwilightBlade December 25th, 2008 5:50 PM

Yeah, a little bit of both. If I'm not really paying attention, I'll just touch the attack and let the battle go on. Nifty.

Hadim Sinan Pasha December 25th, 2008 6:07 PM

Uhm, touch screen. 5 seconds less per pokemon in the e4 = 25 =power Pwnage [PP]) seconds less in the battle, 4P+30=130 seconds=2 minutes 10 seconds which means that to do an e4+Champ run when I'm levelling up pokemon (or getting money for the pokemon i actually am EV training or maybe putting exp share and levelling up and already EV'ed poke) takes 2minutes longer. Normally I can do it in about 15-20 minutes, depending on whether I switch pokemon during KO's or not. It's a good technique and touchscreen speeds it up. I've only ever used the traditional buttons when it's asked me to switch, spam B button = ORSM. Yeah, I only use touchscreen because of the speed, it's so addictive that when I go onto emerald I'm tapping on the DS Touchscreen even though it's blank.

KadabraK December 25th, 2008 6:23 PM

I like the touchscreen, even though I just got it, I've got 3 badges and am in Pastoria!

WeisseEdelweiss December 25th, 2008 8:53 PM

I always just use the buttons.
We've been playing the Pokemon games with just buttons for so long that is what I'm accustomed to.

wolf December 25th, 2008 9:00 PM

I always use the traditional buttons, I don't know why! xD I do use the Touch Screen during some stuff so I go faster, I just don't like keeping the Stylus in my hand while talking to people, so I just use the buttons!^^

Heiheipig December 26th, 2008 12:25 AM

Touch Screen. I'm too lazy to push all those buttons.

//_Blaze_// December 26th, 2008 1:32 AM

Mainly Buttons,I use touch screen often as well

magix7 December 26th, 2008 9:39 AM

if im feeling lazy i poke the screen with my finger. if im standing up doing something i would use the buttons.

EmpoleonRules7 December 26th, 2008 3:33 PM

I usually use either. It depends which I want to use.

Nina December 26th, 2008 7:47 PM

I do not recall ever using the buttons. Touch all the way! It makes things a whole lot easier. :D

Tacticalmobius December 26th, 2008 9:04 PM

i usally use the touchscreen more it makes it makes it easier for me however i use a screen protector since i like using my hands more instead of the stylus

Mario The World Champion December 26th, 2008 10:07 PM

I use both methods, but I find that just using the stylus and the touch screen is a lot more faster than just using the buttons.

But I can get very lazy sometimes and not even pick the thing up and just use the buttons.

Haza December 26th, 2008 10:09 PM

I use both at once for faster play.

NoSkill December 27th, 2008 7:49 AM

Buttons. When you use the touch screen, you have a chance mis-touching. With the buttons, you can never go wrong.

Eon-Rider December 27th, 2008 7:53 AM

I use the buttons because I hate pulling out the stylus just to battle.

Artemis December 27th, 2008 7:54 AM

I basically use both of them as much...but sometimes I mostly use the touch screen and stylus...

I'm the same way. In emerald as soon as a battle starts, I grab my stylus and just hold it in my hand the whole time even though I don't need it. It's just a reflex now since I always use the stylus in diamond.

Stormer07 December 27th, 2008 9:01 AM

I tend to use the touch screen- makes you remember your on a DS XD

Aurafire December 27th, 2008 9:58 AM

Ahh...the touch screen makes things so much easier. I mean, if I didn't have my stylus, I'd still be able to use the traditional buttons, but the touch screen is a lot faster =P

hothead December 27th, 2008 4:59 PM

A little bit both It dependes on what i think of at the time S t is all just up to Chance with me

T.T You would have to have some fat fingers to 'mis-touch'. Either that, or you're rushing through things, in which case you have just as equal chance of 'mis-clicking' using the buttons.

I like playing sitting or laying, if at all. Relaxing with stylus in hand, using the touch screen. :P Makes for an enjoyable experience.

omnipotent1 December 27th, 2008 8:52 PM

I use the buttons, the touch screen... and sometimes when I am tired and can't focus I use the top screen too. sadly that does nothing but ruin it... :(

.Vaporeon December 28th, 2008 5:00 AM

I use the touchscreen, I don't recall ever using the buttons. I prefer the touchscreen and now it's just a reaction to grab out the stylus while booting up Emerald.
