Pogiforce-14 December 19th, 2004 3:01 PM

one card for 2, it woudl be almost as strong as pot of greed if it weren't for teh fact it costs4 mana if you don't get it as a sheild. I give it 8/10.

Kenny_C.002 December 19th, 2004 9:57 PM

Ahhh...the old brain serum...so powerful...so good...so...not the broken thought probe... I recommend it in water decks, no doubt, but the control elements still aren't there yet to make this truly a contender (vs. thought probe).

9/10

Pogiforce-14 December 20th, 2004 11:33 AM

It's hard for draw cards to be broken in DM considering the mana involved if you don't get it as a sheild. :\

Kenny_C.002 December 20th, 2004 8:53 PM

I know it's hard for the drawing cards to be broken, but also consider that if the control element is good enough, the cost of drawing COULD be balanced off. It's possible, but it may be farfetched at this point still.

Pogiforce-14 December 21st, 2004 1:53 PM

Essence elf only goes so far, if that is what you're thinking. :\ Me, I much prefer just nice, quiet, destructive cards that blow your opponent's mosnters away. Ex. : terror Pit( Godly), Critical Blade(demi-godly) and Death Smoke( The strongest of mortals). I ahve practically four of each of those in my deck, and lord knows I'm the strongest duelist in my region.

Kenny_C.002 December 21st, 2004 8:47 PM

Naw man. I think of something abstract (i.e. I'm not sure which direction I'm meaning). Don't worry about it. Removal is good, I have to say, but too much removal is a bad thing. lol

Pogiforce-14 December 22nd, 2004 3:43 AM

Say that to every Kaijudo Duelist who has come my way. every single one of them lost. some of which had been playing the game much longer than me. In the way of darkness cards, I ROCK!!!

you can never have too much control. I become too powerful for them with the boosting strength of my Shadow Moon Cursed Shade, and then if they finally killl something it comes right back to me thanks to my Jack Viper, Shadow of Doom. Both of those cards I have at least 2 of in my deck, and prove to be the strongest point of my strategy. when I pull both shadow moon or both jack viper or, heaven forbid, a combination of the two, that is when the opponent loses hope. I love to see them suffer.

Kenny_C.002 December 22nd, 2004 8:51 PM

Ic. Well for all I know I play differently from your style to begin with (tho I'm a heavy control player myself, but playing water-based control), and our opinions differ at that since the beginning. As I say, I personally like removal, but not too much removal for my tastes. You prefer to go further than that it's alright, but don't start criticizing my opinions on the type of builds I prefer. You know how I kept calling civs with colour back then and how it annoyed you so? Well I've stopped. It's time for you to stop being so cocky and get back onto the ground with the rest of us, because your attitude is pissing me off.

Pogiforce-14 December 23rd, 2004 3:58 PM

I have reason to hold that attitude, because frankly I'm that good. Just ask Mullet. He's seen my deck, and he can testify on account of it's power.

Kenny_C.002 December 23rd, 2004 9:40 PM

Being "that good" does not warrant you being a jackass. Frankly being a jackass even when you're good just makes you look bad overall. Remember that, young warrior.

Pogiforce-14 December 24th, 2004 4:12 PM

one: I am no kohai. I know what I'm doing. two: I am not the one making a big deal out of it and using censor-bypass. and three: I gave due reason for having confidence in my skill. Just because I prove my method works does not mean you can start calling people names unfoundedly. I not once criticized your skill. I just simply told you that I prefered my method and told you how much I've won thanks to it. You had no reason to start calling me names.

In other words, you need to chill.

B-Baller December 27th, 2004 4:21 PM

So, its Brain Serum huh? Here's the 411....

For 4 you get to draw 2....hmm, its the kewlness. Just right for its cost. Shield Trigger is a bonus too! I like drawing, but not Water.

4/5 (there are more better cards, but this one's good)

Pogiforce-14 December 27th, 2004 6:35 PM

More better? heh. Well anyway, it's time for a new CoTW.

Pouch Shell. Rare. Nature
4 mana. Produces 1 mana.
1000
when this creature is summoned to the field, you may take the top card of an opponent's evolution creature and send it to the graveyard.

A mean effect in certain situations, but situational is never anything I like. Personally, I give this card a 6/10.

Mullet December 27th, 2004 7:00 PM

I run it in my Mono Nature deck, but I really don't like it, it's okay considering if your opponent has an Evolution creature on the field. This card gets a 5-6/10.

Pogiforce-14 December 31st, 2004 10:30 PM

I should experiment with him, see if he's worth having in my deck.

Mullet January 4th, 2005 3:40 PM

My turn. New card.

Aqua Solider
Mana Cost:3
Mana Number:1
Power:1000
When this creature would be destroyed, return it to your hand instead.

If your running Water with evos for Liquid People then this is a good card, and constering you can recycle it, that makes it more flexable, so it gets a 8/10.
:D

Pogiforce-14 January 4th, 2005 4:00 PM

he's alright I guess. :\ Reusable is a good thing, though for something that week and no slayer, I wonder...

7/10

Mullet January 9th, 2005 5:02 PM

Water doesn't get Slayers (that's too bad).

I'm basicly just posting so Poji doesn't double post when he posts the new card up.

Pogiforce-14 January 9th, 2005 5:21 PM

Okay, let's just pick a card from the blue and see what we get...

Mystic Inscription
6 mana
produces 1
nature spell
Add the top card of your deck to your shields face down.

Mullet January 9th, 2005 5:27 PM

That sounds fun, I need to get one for my Nature deck, and have fun makeing a lot of shields, I will be invinsible (to some extent).

Anyway, Nature likes to make shields and that is one of my favorite parts about Nature, the only problem is it cost six mana, and it's not even a shield trigger, which is why Mana Nexus is much better, and so is Natural Snare, even though it generates mana for the opponet. I'll give it a 6/10.

Pogiforce-14 January 10th, 2005 6:46 PM

I just picked it out of the blue. I honestly don't like it. I give it a 4/10, and those four points are only because it gives you a shield.

B-Baller January 16th, 2005 12:57 PM

Mystic Inscription is terrible. Very terrible. Why? Would you pay 6 mana for adding a shield while you can just trigger or cast a Mana Nexus.

Don't add this in a Nature deck. Its not worth it. I might give it a higher rating if its a shield trigger.

1/5.

Anyway, aren't you guys gonna rate the new Survivors of the Megapocalypse cards? If you don't have access to 'em ask me.

Pogiforce-14 January 16th, 2005 4:01 PM

haven't bought a pack yet, and D-Max hasn't sent me the set list yet. The set is only a day old, so be patient. it'll come.

For now, let's go with Angler Cluster

3 mana, water creature, cuber virus.
3000+
when all your mana are water civilization, this creature gains 3000 power.

B-Baller January 16th, 2005 4:35 PM

Huh? Check out Wizards' Duel Masters site, go to the Trading Card Game section (and you should probably notice the cool Survivors layout), at the bottom look for the Card Database link, in the Set section, click at that arrow pointing down and click Survivors of the Megapocalypse. Click Go, and there you are in the Survivors database!

Anyway, on to Cluster. Oh and he's a Cyber Cluster, not a Cyber Virus.

3 mana for 6000 is plain awesome. If you run blue anyway. This guy rules on blocking the Turn 4 evos like Valdios and stuff. Its only weakness is that Smoke/Pit/Snare/Flame. Man your opponent is so gonna have a hard time rippin' this. Its also a common, which makes it easier for you to pull. This card is a Water staple IMO.
4/5 if only it can attack.

Mullet January 16th, 2005 6:00 PM

Don't try to take my week Poji, I had some personal things to take care of.

New card.

Revolver Fish
Mana Cost:4
Mana Number:1
Power:5000
Blocker
This creature can't attack.

This card is awesome, it's a great blocker because it's Mana cost is lower than it's power, and it has a not to shaddy power of 5000, 9.5./10.
:D
