lol i cant beat a pokemon game w/o the help of an AR. XD

dewey January 11th, 2009 6:33 PM

i go to toys r us and gamestop ones. even tho i have an ar tho i dont hack em cause the fun of the event pokes is saying that u actually went to the event...:\

Raven-NAR-32450 January 14th, 2009 7:48 PM

well it all really depends, like i'd use it to catch a pokemon that was proving to be a huge pain, or if i just want to sneak in a shiney pokemon or two, and i kinda used it to get event pokemon.........but i'm not "all" for it, if thats what you mean.

Mario The World Champion January 14th, 2009 8:00 PM

If any Events came to the middle of nowhere where I live, I wouldn't need to use an AR to get event Pokemon.

But, they all go to major cities which don't include Boston or Hartford. Besides, I've been using an AR to get event Pokemon all the time.

As for using an AR to max out stats, I don't do that. I don't even know how to do that. So, if I do trade Pokemon, they are 100% not hacked.

Flaming_Printer January 14th, 2009 9:53 PM

I don't mind.

I, myself, love to hack and cheat on Pokemon games, but I do have my own morals/rules. Like I will not trade hacked Pokemon. So I believe that it is ok as long as you catch that Pokemon legitimately after. I even did the Darkrai event for Diamond and Pearl just to say that I got it without cheats. So like i said, I find it to be ok if you keep to yourself or catch it legitimately.

It's not the right thing to do, if you're playing competitively.
But it's perfectly fine for me, since I don't play competitively.

Yeah, I use it, cause I'm not that great of a fan to go out to an event to get them.

Surf January 16th, 2009 2:12 AM

I got an Acreus from some hackers at a MC Donalds event
They were giving ou the members pass and the hackers hacked the stream and changed it to an Azerue Flute

evilishan January 16th, 2009 3:48 PM

Depends, if the event is no longer available then maybe I'll buy a AR.
If is there's a legit way of getting it, then I prefer that.
I dream of visiting America when I'm older (Disneyland, Nintendo Center) and way more Nintendo consoles.

Michael Chartrose January 16th, 2009 5:16 PM

I wouldn't really care much since I've already got level 100 Pokémon, and got some of the Pokémon through events in the US. All I could care about with Action Replay is getting some codes for items and a few Pokémon to collect 'em all. Using Action Replay to get event Pokémon is worthless, and the only upside of it is that it's priceless (excluding the pay for Action Replay).

Artemis January 16th, 2009 9:34 PM

I do not think it is very good AT ALL...but if you do it, it's not my choice, just don't abuse it, or u'll lose it!

DaPews January 16th, 2009 9:59 PM

To be honest, it's just a game. I don't care either way though, as long as they aren't going to use it or anything. If they were trying to trade it to me though, I don't think I would take it.

Pikachu™ January 17th, 2009 1:57 AM

Well, how is it possible to get a event Pokemon in R/S/E and FR/LG? It's impossible nowdays all the event have gone and past, besides I live in England so i would have to travel all the way to Amercia, which is just pointless.

spaminator January 17th, 2009 2:00 AM

i guess its ok since its impossible to get them otherwise in some instances.

Steven15 January 17th, 2009 7:47 PM

I think its fine.

Mostley cause I do the same thing.

I second that.

I dont see why people make such a big deal about it. If you use an AR to get a pokemon that is the exact same (something like a Pokesav clone) then I dont think theres any problems... But if its a Mew thats caught in Route xxx then ergh. Go awai

Amaruuk January 21st, 2009 8:18 PM

I really only use it to make "personalized" Pokemon for myself, based after favorite anime characters, OCs, and things like that. I don't do Wi-fi battling, and never intend to trade any of them, so it's not hurting anything.

I never had a GBA cheating device of any sort, so none of my 3rd-gen games have ever been cheated in, though it's the only gen I didn't use one. Gens 1 & 2 I cheated in for the same purpose, and also just to mess around. What else does a little kid with a GameShark do?

About the event Pokes, I've never been able to go to an event, and it kinda seems unfair that so many are unable or unwilling to go that far out of their way, or don't find out until it's too late and they've missed the boat. While I've never actually bothered doing it myself, I don't see the harm in hacking them.

My basic idea of cheating is that it's your copy of the game, so do what you like. As long as you don't cause problems to others' games, scam, or anything of that sort, cheat to your heart's content if that's what you enjoy.

Lynnx January 22nd, 2009 10:31 AM

I never bother with hacks or Action Replay. I don't care about getting event Pokemon or such anyways, so it's not really a big deal to me. I don't mind other people using AR or hacking, but I wouldn't. :x

Shaterpie January 23rd, 2009 1:50 AM

I've never used one, not really sure why though. I've only ever actually got one legit myself, being Deoxys, but that was easy.

♣Gawain♣ January 23rd, 2009 2:30 AM

Used AR in VBA's and other emulators, not with my GBAs and DS. I just wanna feel the feelings of others who owns event pokemon. ?.?

Heiheipig January 23rd, 2009 11:10 PM

I'm fine with using AR to trigger the Nintendo Events, but not if you just make them appear in the grass...seems so pointless.

Honest January 24th, 2009 11:57 AM

I hate it! Its really foul! Curse AR!

I vowed never to use it. Im looking for all the legendarys thru events!
I have to delete every PKMN i get over Wi-Fi because im trying to get my game as much non-ARed as possible!

So, no, in case you didnt get it.

Tashiro January 24th, 2009 12:37 PM

I'm glad this hasn't turned into a massive flamewar.

At least, I don't think so.

Cold Fusion January 24th, 2009 12:40 PM

I only use my friends to get the events but thats it.

I don't think it is very helpful anyways.

bladerzac January 24th, 2009 5:25 PM

i only use AR's if i have to get an overseas event Pokemon

Inferno1 January 24th, 2009 5:33 PM

I clicked the last one but i thought it said i acuualy do in game events but with the other ones i just ask people for them so it is really the second one i go with i think it is wrong
