Kid's newest RMT...bigger and better...
All right You battling experts out there, here is another RMT by me, The Kid, I worked hard on this one for a few days, but I’m looking forward to your predicaments on to what you have to say or improve on this team for myself. So go right on ahead and do what you do best…lol…
Thank you by the way! Lead/Physical Wall:http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/swampert.png Swampert @ Leftovers Impish Nature; 252 HP/ 6 Atk/ 252 Def Ability: Torrent - Roar - Waterfall - Earthquake - Stealth Rock My new lead as well as physical wall on the team. Probably the best choice giving me a free slot for my Jirachi on the team. Waterfall and Earthquake for coverage along with STAB while Roar takes advantage of my set up Stealth Rock. Basically a pretty neat combination thanks to the help of D_A. Physical Sweeper: http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/scizor.png Scizor @ Life Orb Adamant Nature; 32 HP/ 252 Atk/ 224 Spe Ability: Technician - Swords Dance - Bullet Punch - X-Scissor - Brick Break Scizor with Life Orb, Swords Dance, and Technician…when I saw this I was like…HOLY SMOKES…lol…plus being a steel type it gives my team a lot of resistances as well! I chose Double Hit over Night Slash or X-scissor because with a few SD and having the technician ability I can cover more neutral attacks with a lot of power in it as well…but I’m open for a changes on that move. Special Sweeper: http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/gengar.png Gengar @ Life Orb Timid Nature; 6 HP/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe Ability: Levitate - Thunderbolt - Hidden Power [Ice] - Shadow Ball - Focus Blast A great special sweeper for this team giving me three immunities with such a powerful special attack and speed base as well. A complete revenge killer for a ton of Pokemon weak against Gengar’s great move set and coverage too. Plus, it can add in as a switch in team member to negate attacks that are super effective to my other team members while it doesn’t affect Gengar at all. Special Wall: http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/blissey.png Blissey @ Leftovers Calm Nature; 4 HP/ 252 Def/ 252 SpD Ability: Natural Cure - Wish - Softboiled - Toxic - Seismic Toss Blissey is a great special wall for this team who can absorb in a lot of special attacks while wearing down the opponent with toxic. For steel types that I suspect might show up on the next turn, I would plan to use flamethrower on it, while the 80 EVs in the special attack gives it a little power. Blissey can also cover for pokemon like Gengar and Scizor, since most people would go in with a special attack for Scizor and some might use an attack such as shadow ball on Gengar, which has no effect on Blissey. Thanks to some extra help, I also decided to go in with wish over softboiled for to give in more support to the other team members along with itself. Physical Sweeper2/Coverage Killer:http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/jirachi.png Jirachi @ Choice Scarf Jolly Nature; 6 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe Ability: Serene Grace - Iron Head - Fire Punch - Thunder Punch - Ice Punch After getting rid of my lead aerodactyl and replacing it with my Swampert, I basically gained a free slot. Jirachi was suggested to be used for a few weaknesses given on my team, which I found quite suitable to use as well. Not too bad, gives coverage, and outspeeds tons of pokemon on the OU battle field as well with the Choice Scarf. Mixed Sweeper: http://www.arkeis.com/images/pokemonfactory/salamence.png Salamence @ Life Orb Rash Nature; 80 Atk/ 252 SpA/ 176 Spe Ability: Intimidate - Fire Blast - Draco Meteor - Roost - Brick Break A great addition to the team, having coverage over those with phys. Def and Sp. Def as well. Brick break for pokemon such as Tyranitar, Blissey, and others, while Fire Blast for coverage and Draco Meteor for a powerful STAB. I’ve used it before and I haven’t had much of a serious problem. ***Basically the team supports one another. I haven’t seen too much trouble against other pokemon, as I built this team with support and strength. I’m open for many improvements as I see fit, along with great strategy tips as well when using this team in battle. |
Blisseys evs add up to over 510, Go : - 252 def / 176 sp.def / 80 sp.att. In additon use Seismic Toss in that last slot because it covers most special threats and because it is its best attack.
Also i dont get what Aero does on this team since its not an all out sweeper team. You could just as easilly shove SR on swampert (In the last moveslot, or over waterfall if you still want Roar too) and lead with that. Then you have a free pokemon slot. In which case i would look for a Gyarados and Scizor counter/check because those shred you pretty badly, as does DD Mence..So use this >> Aero to keep them all in check. [email protected] Scarf 252 ATT / 252 speed / 6 hp Jolly Nature - Iron head - Fire Punch - Thunderpunch - Ice Punch Outspeeds and pretty much OHKO's all the aformentioned threats. Serene Grace is pretty sweet on this too lol No one uses Jolly max speed DD Mence so you are pretty safe (the only mence verison capable of doing anything to you after a dd), you speed tie anyways with it after a dd so meh. |

EDIT: Oh yes, and what is the best choice for Scizor between Double Hit/ Night Slash/ X-Scissor ??? |
x-scissor is probably the best choice for scizor due to stab
and i reccomend a lead that can handle taunters and trick pokes as azelf my taunter would negate roar and stealth rock and is immune to earthquake. find something that can handle an azelf |
Quote:
Pretty much beaten with smart play =o |
yeah but by then azelf would have exploded and kod swampert
i suggest getting a faster lead |

As for Scizor, X-Scissor is a more solid choice. It's still resisted by Steels. If I didn't get Bullet Punch as an effective way at by breaking Subs, I'd say it's viable, but you get more damage out of X-Scissor (120 BP vs 105 BP) and it has perfect accuracy, as opposed to Double-Hit's 90% (which is amplified, as there is two hits.) It also lets you take Cresselia, among other things. Oh, and with Gengar, I personally would prefer to run Life Orb > Choice Specs as although you have decent coverage, all of the moves are easily switched in on - HP Ice is the only one that nothing is immune to. Gengar shouldn't be taking hits, anyway. |
Hmm... This team has great typing coverage, no double weaknesses! :) Anyways, Gengar could use Life Orb instead, as Archer said, though both are fine. I suggest Ice Beam over Flamethrower since Seismic Toss deals with Steels that resist Toxic. Though, I like TWave more over Toxic, but since the team is more offensive base, so never mind that! I suggest X-Scissor on Scizor other than those other moves, except Roost would fit nicely too... Blissey COULD use Wish support for Scizor instead of Roost, so you could Wish, then switch in Scizor on a Fighting move aiming for Blissey. Then, Wish would heal the damage done, and heal the other damage recoil from LO if you sweeped earlier. Other than those... You will do fine in the metagame I think! :) BTW, you are getting good at team building! ;)

EDIT: What would be a good moveset for my Blissey on this team...any good ideas? oh, I have done some changes on the team that were suggested as well! |
The moveset you have is good enough.
|
Quote:
Well does anyone else have anything else to add onto my team so far??? I'd really appreciate it... |
Everything is fine, though, you could go 64 HP/ 252 Atk/ 192 Spe on Scizor making you last longer with LO, although, it might not outspeed threats. *Waits for D_A to prove me wrong*

Swampert lead is asking to be set up on rly, Roaring on the first turn is pointless, then opposing Pokemon uses eg stat boosting move, and then it delivers a horrible blow to Swampert.
I use Swampert late game for a great wall when all the grass Pokemon. What I would do, is change the order a little, take your Scarfed Jirachi for a lead, and use that imo. |
Nah, the only threat is Tar, and you can probably OHKO or 2HKO him with Bullet Punch. You can always use Brick Break...
|
Quote:
EDIT: should I really use swampert for late game and put in Jirachi as my lead??? |
No, its sets up SR, and it is meant to negate for Taunt leads. Or, you could always go with Gengar.
|
I thin kI will keep the idea with Swampert as a lead for now...because I have a pretty good strategy worked up with that...
still having a little trouble though getting stable on Blissey's moveset... |
Quote:
Wish / Softboiled / Flamethrower / Toxic is great, should you choose to run it with your current EV Spread.... |
Quote:
I still stand for suggestions to you all...so far so good, I think...All my changes have been made above in my original post. |
Although, Empoleon is going to wall easily without Seismic Toss. And CM Dogs get to destroy it. :O

Bliss sucks without S-Toss.
Sub Agility Petaya Empoleon does indeed smash it to bits without who then proceeds to sweep you >.< So yeah unless its a exception as in you have another way of dealing with the things that beat non S-Toss Bliss, which this team doesnt, it needs Toss 110%. Keep toss no matter what.. EDIT: Beaten. |
Well, if you go with Seismic Toss, then you can go with this EV spread: 4 HP/ 252 Def/ 252 SpD. Except, Seismic Toss + Toxic is walled by Gengar... Though, if you have the above moveset only Specs Set would harm you (might be wrong)... It is your choice though.
|

NOTE: Seismic Toss Bliss...110% needed. @ Wolflare yeah I also decided to keep flamethrower for things like that as well...thanx! |
Also, I noticed that you could use Aromatherapy if you don't go with Ice Beam, it helps the sweepers you have with TWave if I am correct.
|
Wish on its own is not gonna work on bliss or it isnt gonna be able to heal itself effectively..
Softboiled/<Status>/S-Toss/Wish Please, you have other ways of dealing with the the things that S-Toss doesnt hit, aka Gengar etc ^_^ EDIT : Wish and Aromatheraphy are illegal on the same blissey set (Event move + Egg move) , so yeah... |

Blissey @ Leftovers Calm Nature; 4 HP/252 Def/ 252 Sp.D Ability: Natural Cure - Seismic Toss - Softboiled - Wish - Toxic ??? EDIT: I made the change to Blissey after a few suggested to do so...but I'm still open for more suggestions and comments by all of you. I am trying to work my hardest on this team, as I have gotten more serious on building a powerful team for WiFi... |
