Get some more fire pokemon in sinnoh.

So far my count is that there are 5 fire pokemon in Sinnoh.
[[Chimchar, Monferno, Infernape, Ponyta & Rapidash)

Do you think they should add more?

wolf January 16th, 2009 11:44 AM

Yes, they should add more. But, the Sinnoh Region is finished now. You forgot Magmortar... :P

starryday January 16th, 2009 11:45 AM

Definitely. *nodnod* I love fire types, but there aren't enough in general I think, not even just in Sinnoh.

Abbandon January 16th, 2009 11:48 AM

Yes, fire pokemon is severly lacking..

i personally hate ponyta/rapidash which leaves me with a one of a kind pokemon i might not even choose.
Fire pokemon are available after national dex mode but thats way too late.
Also.. Infernape goes part fighting. Second generation in a row where fire starter ends up half fighting. Just an observation.

EDIT: In D/P the fire elite 4 guy only has 2 fire pokemon out of 5. a bit ridiculous in my opinion.

Spoiler:
They already added more in Platinum. The Magmar and Houndour evolution lines, as well as Flareon, were all added into Pre-National Sinnoh.

Fed January 16th, 2009 1:46 PM

In Platinum, you can catch Magmar at the Fuego Ironworks, so that adds three more (Magby, Magmar, Magmortar)

pokemew January 16th, 2009 1:52 PM

i think they should add more but not too much cause it kind of takes the value and rarity out of them

Yeah, they updated the dex :p
I have to say, this is just another case of Platinum fixing the errors of D/P XD;
But yeah, it's not like they can actually add any more; Sinnoh is done, as a region.

hothead January 17th, 2009 3:26 AM

I cheated with the fire pokemon delema i hate ponyta and i love turtwig to much to start witth chimchar so i just used the union room to send over an egg containg my lil charmander problem solved

.FoX. January 17th, 2009 4:22 PM

I strongly believe Sinnoh is lacking in fire types. There should be more fire types, although they don't have to be new, just make the old ones obtainable in the wild like growlithe, houndour and sutch...its nice to know that atleast magby will be obtainable, but i'd still like to see more fire types in the wild.

Spinor January 17th, 2009 7:08 PM

I have to admit, they lack fire types.

But if they were to add more, I prefer them to be multi-type. Fire/Bug would be epic win.

The Post Count January 17th, 2009 11:05 PM

Ew. no XD Fire pokemon are the most useless in the front half of the game anyway.

Ash&pikachuarethebest January 30th, 2009 6:03 AM

I agree with you all fire type Pokemon are very low and I don't like ponyta/rapidash as much as i did when i first started playing Pokemon games. But yay for the fact that magby is going to be obtainable in the wild in platinum because i like magmars.

~MasterMind~ January 30th, 2009 7:36 AM

of course they should add more.....in D/P there failed with the third elite four member cause he only had 2 fire types.

Idiot! January 30th, 2009 8:17 AM

Insert random filler here.

Razer302 January 30th, 2009 9:12 AM

Fire is one of my favourite types and I found they were severally lacking any really good ones in D/P. Its good they have added more in Platinum but I still think there should be a few more.

Honest January 30th, 2009 1:23 PM

Hell yeah! Flint in the Elite four only has TWO fire PKMN if I remember correctly. My favorite type is Fire! I was REALLY disappointed when i found out there were so little of them. :(

PoKeMiKe92 January 30th, 2009 1:49 PM

i also think that there should be more fire pokemon. Fire is one of the most preferred types. but the lack of the number of fire types makes it one of the most unique pokemon types. all the games' developers have to do is make the other fire types accessible

DarknessSneasel January 30th, 2009 2:14 PM

I tihkn its the same with electric and ice. the 7th gym had the random medicham and then the octilerry ni the 8th. But there was plenty of water types. I tihnk with Platinuim there bringing the pokemon that evolve into 4th gen are avilable and aome others (e.g. houndour)

Artemis January 30th, 2009 4:32 PM

TBH yes we do need more fire types, not TOO much, but more than what it had, at least platinum fixed that problem a bit...

also, do not shoot me or anything, but I NEVER realized that FLint only had TWO fire types...lolz

Fata1Down January 30th, 2009 4:51 PM

They should have put Growlithe in. That would have been a great addition.

Aether January 30th, 2009 7:00 PM

This really bugged me too... I had to get a chimchar from a friend to level up before taking on the Elite 4. >< I'm glad they're rectifying this problem in Platinum.

Hah, yeah, one was the starter. Can you take a guess at the second fire pokemon he had was? (For emphasis) The only other fire evolution line in D/P.
Houndour is one of my favorite pokes, so I'm glad they're in Platinum.

pokefansam January 31st, 2009 12:03 AM

we need more fire mix pokemon eg fire ground or fire steel stuff like that
