Which was the best Mario Kart game?
Which was the best?
SNES version -N64 version -Gamecube version -Wii version Vote now! |
Mkwii!;'D
I love that game, play it on a daily base:P |
Since I've only played the GBA and the DS ones, out of the two I'd definitely say the DS version.
MK Wii looked kind of difficult to steer when I saw someone playing it at the shop recently. |

i loved doubledash on GC its bloody good fun! Me and my brother spent hours on that game
mkwii is best played with nunchuck and remote imo. The steering wheel is poor. SNES game was my first MK. and comes second after GC one! |
The N64 version was fantastic. So was the Wii one on the other hand.
|
The Wii version was the best, I thought, well, it is the most recent version so it's definitely the best, using the steering wheel was good fun, it wasn't that hard either... I mean using the wheel, the game was very fun, once I stayed up all night playing that, well... that was because I couldn't use my computer so I played that. Well, yeah, thats my favourite mario kart version.
|
I loved Mario Kart for the GameCube, maybe because the first time I played it it was on GameCube, but yeah, it was awesome. I actually haven't got to trying Mario Kart Wii yet, so...

N64 was my favourite, I can't really explain why. |
I loved Double Dash because it allowed me and my bro to play that track with all those maps in one. Mario Kart DS was good while it lasted, but the people on Wi-Fi got on my nerves.
|
Mario Kart 64 was always the best in my opinion. I like the simple but still entertaining track layout.
Mario Kart Wii comes in a close second though. The graphical updates from Double Dash were nice and online play with your friends is always fun. |
Mario Kart for the wii is what I picked. It's like a remake of the N64 version even though i haven't played the wii version before.
|
I sorta see Super Mario Kart and Super Circuit as the same game. Identical controls and Super Circuit includes all the original courses. I would rank them...
Mario Kart DS Mario Kart Wii Mario Kart 64 Super Circuit and Super Mario Kart Double Dash!! You can probably switch Wii and 64 around. I'm rather fond of the 64 version, if only for nostalgia. |
I picked MKWii out of them all just because of Wi-fi.
The fact that you can race against people from around the world is just....awesome! Plus, you get a lot characters and vehicles, not to mention that the courses themselves were well-designed (For the most part). |
I like the first mario kart game from SNES! I'm old skool, so I still play the game occasionally. lol Anyway, I like it a lot. If there was a second choice I would vote mario kart double dash as my 2nd fav. =]
|
U didnt add DS. Its my favorite by the way.

MK SNES is the best unless you want online play.
If you want online then MK Wii. Technically MKDS is better than MK Wii but I'm one of those people who doesn't like the excessive snaking that took over the game. |
I never had the SNES, and the N64 one was impossible for me to place above 3rd. I liked Double Dash, but the Wii has motorbikes. XD And the bullet bill item is too good to pass up, I always get first place if I'm down and out and that thing shows up.
|
Apart from MKDD (Which tried something different and imo really enhanced the multiplayer) they're all pretty much the same game. So I'm going with DD.
|
Only ones I've played were MK64 and Double Dash. MK64 was at least easy enough that I almost felt like I was good at a video game for once (my younger brothers and cousins always pwned me in all forms of video games), but me + Double Dash = EPIC FAIL
Might've been more fun if I wasn't so incurably bad at it... >.>;; |
When it comes to Mario and Zelda games, I only like the 64 and Gameboy versions.
|
Wii, hands down. Maybe N64... Who am I kidding. I love them all!!!
|
I enjoyed the DS version the most. It had excellent replay value. Trying to get all 3 stars in every cup and mission kept me playing for months. 32 courses, 16 of them nostalgic, just helps to sweeten the deal. Doesn't hurt to snake your way to victory on wi-fi either. :D
I can't say anything the GCN version cause I don't own a GCN. The GBA and SNES versions seem to have a different formula than the one we've all grown to love, so I ruled those out. Anyone who knows how to do a wheelie can be good at MK: Wii can be good so it seems too easy to me (Not like I'd know since I haven't played it yet). As far as I can remember, the 64 version didn't have ranks so there was really no point to playing the 1-player mode over and over again. Only 4 battle courses made the battle mode sorta repetitive (but still lotsa fun). The silent courses in the 3+ player modes didn't help either. So, in my opinion, the DS version is the most complete and replayable. |
I would say the n64 version since I have not the SNES one... I feel so fast... maybe because of the sprites size, anyway I love it.
But my favorite including the portable games is DS, 'cause snaking is a pain for the computer players and of course, the wfc mode was the first time I played online *_* |
Out of the four options I'm going to have to say Mario Kart Wii is the best because all the other ones make my head spin if I plan them too long.
|
For me it's MK Wii because of bikes, wi-fi,loads good of courses,in the mode where you have to beat the ghost of some of the players it was good to get characters from it and the wheel was cool but I liked the fact that you could use the GameCube controller if you didn't like the wheel.
|
I grew up with the N64, and I always loved the tracks on it. =3 So, my choice would be the best N64!
|
1.The DS version is the best then
2.The SNES on rocks guys, you'll love it. then 3.The Wii version though it doesn't feel as cool then 4.The N64 version is alright but it lacks drifting features then 5.The Gamecube one which I haven't tryed out yet, is it good? |

MKwii, casuse its recent but what happened to MKDS?
|
Mk Wii of course!
but I actually like N64! |
N64 imo <3
I've never played the SNES version </3 |
I gotta say MKWii n_n
The other games were good for their times, though. But they're unplayable (lol,is that a word?) now :< |
I loved to play Mario Kart Double Dash that is my fav out of them all but MKWII is brill
