I wonder if the end of WWE is coming sooner than expected.

I still don't see how people still thinks that TNA is going out of business.

They really need to put focus on the mid-card talents, such as MVP, Mr. Kennedy, Shelton Benjamin, etc.. The veterans won't always be there to carry that matches. If they don't make the change right now, it would be all over.

I agree. While most of the current main eventers have at least another 5 years (in my opinion) they need to start pushing mid-card and upper mid-card talent or come WrestleMania 30 the main event will be a "WrestleMania 25 rematch" with a 49 year old Undertaker and a 48 year old Shawn Michaels returning and performing at a fraction of their WrestleMania 25 days and ruining everything (as opposed to saving the travesty that was WrestleMania 25).

New Talent Being Called Up Soon
By Daniel Pena

source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

-- Company officials have described the next few months as a rebuilding period because they hope to push new talent to the top even if the ratings slip a little. They also plan on calling up more talent from Florida Championship Wrestling within the next few months and giving them a purpose as opposed to putting them on television and having them flounder. However, the question remains as to who those people are.

Another detail in light of the extra hour of television being produced every week is that more and more, the ideas for entertainment will be put on Raw with ECW, SmackDown and Superstars generally focusing on wrestling.

Latest On Jeff Hardy's WWE Contract Situation
By Brad Ingles

The latest on Jeff Hardy re-signing with WWE is that he is giving mixed signals to friends on his intentions. It was previously reported that he gave friends the impression that he would re-sign, but new reports are saying that he is giving the impression of taking time off without signing a new deal.

Some people backstage have admired Hardy's decision to take time off without signing a new contract. There was fear in the past that if a wrestler took time off they would be punished, but wrestlers now realize if you have a certain status with the company then such a move could be pulled off. The Big Show and Chris Jericho took time off in the past and received a big push upon their return.

20 Rules For The WWE Diva Afterlife
By Daniel Pena

-- I can't confirm the validity of the following piece, but it was apparently written from the perspective of an anonymous former WWE Diva giving her tongue-in-cheek take on the afterlife of a WWE Diva, largely taking aim at her peers and the numerous fans that attend wrestling conventions (which almost always have a slew of former WWE Divas on hand).

The piece has been forwarded around to numerous wrestling sites, including this one. An interesting read to say the least:

20 Official Rules For WWE Diva Afterlife

Written by a former WWE Diva

1. Don't worry, it will grow back fine... just cut it down and stop bleaching it dummy. Now your natural color will be seen as a "new look" and you will experience refreshed marketability. Take some brand new all natural 8x10's at Wal-Mart and work it girl!

2. Remember you can always bleach your hair again back to the "classic look" to boost your self esteem for a week. If you ever get cancer from the dye, just ask Dawn Marie to sell her unwashed panties through Wrestlers Rescue to help pay for the medical bills.

3. If your just coming off TV, then your used to the schedule. Always starve yourself before every appearance and pig out at your favorite fast food restaurant afterwards. Nothing new. Eating disorders and binging cycles are totally normal and healthy. It's a Diva's way of life, 4-life.

4. If you haven't done so already, you need to go **** either Scott Levy, Batista or Ric Flair before he dies. Do a few lines of coke with them too. It makes for a great tell all shoot and high self worth.

5. The wrestling convention circuit is 10x200. The same 10 money marks will book you and the same 200 losers will show up each time. Milk 'em for all they are worth cause it's all you got left. Virgil will be at every show so you might as well get to know him too. And yes, he is a real creep.

6. Appearing at 3 Flea Markets per week is officially known as "doing a tour". Congrats on the success!

7. Letting men touch your breasts for an extra $5 during photo-ops is an excellent business strategy.

8. If the photo-op printer ever stalls and delays, just give them an index card with your own lip prints on it. It will make their day that you were soooo selfless, giving and thoughtful of their patience.

9. It's perfectly normal to refer to other human beings as "fans", "clients" and "followers" but to their face- always call them "friend".

10. Always smile and play nice with the co-workers you haven't seen in 5 years. These are your "best friends in the whole world"....somehow? That's how the wrestling family illusion rolls on.

11. Treat the disabled extra nice. Them pockets are deep with Social Security money and they spend like mad at the gimmick table.

12. You will never draw like Trish Stratus, you will never look like Trish Stratus and you will flat out never be Trish Stratus... but don't ever stop trying hun'.

13. But yes, I know you are still a big star... right in your head.

14. Even if you got fired, always say that you left "on your own terms" or because of an "undisclosed dispute". This will always make you appear above the business.

15. Always say that a WWE return is "right around the corner" and "never say never" when you know damn well they wouldn't take you back if you begged.

16. When the going get's tough, selling your used tampons on eBay is a great way to make some additional cash.

17. I know the crows feet and wrinkles are building up. It's ok, no one is going to seriously book your used up, worn out ass after age 45 anyway. It's now time to assume the Moolah role.

18. There's nothing wrong with forever living in the past. Tammy Sytch still lives in 1996, and look there's nothing wrong with her.

19. Why have any normal relationships? You can have every lonely pervert from Philadelphia to Oakland lusting after you. Being emotionally unstable is F U N!

20. Remember that Jesus forgives you for all of your sins, so everything listed above is A-OK. Just rinse and repeat.

In closing: Yes this is one sad life but hey it's all you know.... so do it like a professional!

Vernikova May 8th, 2009 3:41 PM

Rule 12 is the only rule that I took seriously. Seriously.

BHwolfgang May 8th, 2009 6:54 PM

Victoria was close, and Lita was equal, but no one really did surpass Trish Stratus. Rule 12 is so real...

It's sad that some guys are actually that desperate.

I'm rootin' for Jeff Hardy to go back to TNA. He'll make a great addition. If not, then he can always lead in the comeback.

WWE Wants Announcers To Not Be Stars Of Shows
By Brad Ingles

The general feeling backstage is that Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler are seen as stars as opposed to being regular announcers like Michael Cole, Todd Grisham, Josh Mathews and Matt Striker. Vince McMahon wants all announcers to be viewed on the same level, and that the wrestlers are the only stars of the show. He sees it as a difficult thing to accomplish since Ross and Lawler will also be seen as stars and were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Many are interested to see the transition with the announcers after Ross and Lawler retires.

Report On WWE In The Rebuilding Process
By Brad Ingles

WWE will be in the rebuilding process during the next few months as the company tries to make new stars, and officials are expecting the ratings to dip during the process. There are plans to bring in more development wrestlers from FCW and start them with a solid plan instead of just putting them on TV and hoping for something to come from it. There are discussions of making a rule to where creative writers would work over a limited amount of wrestlers so that attention can go to the newer talent. The expectation is for WWE to become more about wrestling with there being four shows a week and possibly a fifth show being added.

I might not know what's going on the 4th show, but I know that a 5th is just too much. Will there be each show for each day of the week? That's pushing it. However, I enjoy reading the part where there will be plans on rebuilding younger wrestlers.

Honest May 11th, 2009 4:39 PM

Well...This is a lot to take in after not being active on PC for about a week.

Seriously...Well, Jeff leaving wouldn't exactly be a bad thing, as long as he comes back. Make it someting like Cena coming after being injured, and being the Royal Rumble Winner here at New York. I Don't think long time is that good, like Jericho, being out for like 3 years.

Kennedy's back? Well, lets hope that he actually learned a thing or two after being out. As for World Champion, maybe...in a decade or two (or even three)

I took rule 12 dead ass seriously. Trish <3 Ya! :D

What's the matchups?

Super Smash Kid May 15th, 2009 3:45 PM

Edge vs Jeff Hardy
Batista vs Randy Orton
John Cena vs Big Show
Chris Jericho vs Rey Mysterio-title

And thats all I know.

I hope not. However, if he does, he better shape up Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibaise. :|

Judgement Day was wacky.

Matches and Results:

John Morrison(Winner) vs. Shelton Benjamin

Christian(C. And Winner) vs Jack Swagger for EW Championship

Rey Mysterio(C. And Winner) vs. Y2J for Intercontinential Championship

CM Punk vs. Umaga(Winner)

John Cena(Winner) vs Big Show

Batista(Winner via DQ) vs. Randy Orton(Still Champ) for WWE Championship

Jeff Hardy vs. Edge(C. And Winner) for World Heavyweight Championship

Vernikova May 18th, 2009 1:06 PM

Edge, Cena, Orton, and Umaga won so I still have faith in the WWE. Especially because Edge won against that annoying Hardy.

Super Smash Kid May 18th, 2009 2:04 PM

Same with Edge I guess, though Y2j really need to shine, cause he's one of my faves.

*haters* :P

BHwolfgang May 18th, 2009 4:57 PM

I like when Randy is actually the challenger. That's when his 'sadistic' persona kicks it.

Honest May 18th, 2009 5:02 PM

Not to mention that kick of his (The Punt) Lolz, I did the punt to my friend. Mad funny what happened. He was out cold for bout a minute.

RKO is better of as the champ to me, though.

Max_Damage39 May 18th, 2009 5:12 PM

As if John Cena would win. HIS FINISHER IS A ****ING FIREMAN'S CARRY GOD DAMNIT! HOW CAN A NEAR 500 POUND MAN LOSE TO A FIREMAN'S CARRY! Ahem... Calm... I'm calm...

I am glad that Orton and Edge retained their titles, I hate Batista almost as much as Cena and the whole Hardy thing is getting old. Christian retaining his title was good too but I'd rather see him drop the title then move to one of the bigger brands.

I think you can kiss the Extreme PPV goodbye if this is true.

If I was Vinnie K, I would have my lawyers right now getting an injunction against the Nuggets, the NBA Playoffs, and Pepsi, and have that arena locked down for the next 10 years in legal battles if they don't have the show. I also would not ever come back to Denver. I've been to Denver, its not a bad city, pretty nice in fact, but there are better places. Many Many Cities would pay to have a WWE event. Srly, screw the NBA. They suck. They can't even beat NASCAR for god sakes!!!

WHEN a final decision is made? So WWE has less than a week to decide whether or not to have a show in Denver? Screw Denver! Just move to another city... But knowing WWE they'll find some way to have it in Denver anyway, cutting it so close that the people entering the arena for the show will be able to watch the crew set up the stage...

McMahon Says He'll Have Raw In A Parking Lot Next Week If Needed
By Daniel Pena

Nuggets, WWE in smackdown over arena confict
By BRIAN MAHONEY

Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers are scheduled to be at the Pepsi Center in Denver next Monday night.

Problem is, so are John Cena and a bunch of wrestlers — and they called it first.

World Wrestling Entertainment said it is booked at the arena for an episode of Monday Night Raw, the same night the Nuggets are slated to host the Lakers in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals.

WWE chairman Vince McMahon told The Associated Press he doesn't believe there was "any malice, just ineptness," on the part of Kroenke Sports, which owns the team and the building, but can't tolerate the company "just simply throwing us out on our ear."

Without a quick resolution, McMahon plans to send his trucks to Denver.

"That's what we intend to do," he said. "We're going to show up."

WWE spokesman Robert Zimmerman said the organization secured the Pepsi Center last Aug. 15 and has already sold more than 10,000 tickets for the event. He says the organization expects a sellout, with tickets ranging from $20 to $70.

McMahon blamed Kroenke for not believing his team was good enough to still be playing in mid-May.

"The fans in Denver had a lot more faith in making the playoffs than the owner," he said in a phone interview from Louisville, where Raw was taking place later Monday night.

Denver is usually done with basketball by now. The Nuggets had lost in the first round five straight years, but as the No. 2 seed in the West are in the conference finals for the first time since 1985.

The Nuggets referred comment to the NBA, which handles scheduling during the playoffs. Kroenke Sports also had no comment.

However, the league is leaving it up to the team and the WWE to figure things out.

"The Nuggets and the WWE understand that the date of Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals cannot be changed," NBA senior vice president Mike Bass said. "We are confident that the Pepsi Center and the WWE will resolve their scheduling conflict."

Zimmerman said the Pepsi Center confirmed in March with the WWE that the organization wanted to keep the May 25 date, and sent a contract on April 15 — the final night of the regular season — which WWE signed and returned. Tickets went on sale April 11.

The conflict didn't arise until Sunday, when the Lakers beat the Houston Rockets in Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals. Had the Rockets won, Denver would have had home-court advantage in the next round, hosting Games 1 and 2 and putting the May 25 game in Houston.

As of Monday afternoon, the schedule on the Pepsi Center's Web site listed WWE for 6:30 p.m. local time and Western Conference finals Game 4 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the wrestling event could still be purchased online.

McMahon said he couldn't guess how much he would make from the show, but that canceling wasn't easy because of how much is involved in moving his equipment, plus filling its obligated time slot on USA Network. Litigation is likely — but he plans to be putting on a card.

"When you do have a date, you plan everything around it," he said, adding, "we may be holding an event in a parking lot somewhere."

Major Arenas Offer To Host RAW
By likuidm5

-- After a scheduling debacle has left next week's WWE RAW without a home, WWE.com says that that New York's Madison Square Garden and Los Angeles's Staples Center have both offered to host the show. While WWE claims they still have not determined where the show will be held, Daniel reported earlier that the show will most likely be held in Colorado Springs, where the following night's SmackDown/ECW tapings will take place.

Tentative Plan For Next Week's Raw
By Daniel Pena

sources: www.f4wonline.com, PWInsider.com

-- The tentative plan for next Monday's Raw taping is to do the show at the World Arena in Colorado Springs.

This was one of the backup plans discussed yesterday, and WWE has tried booking more than 100 hotel rooms for Sunday night in Colorado Springs.

As of last night, company officials had not informed talent about anything regarding the site of next week's show.

Latest On Shawn Michaels' Future In Wrestling, Heat On Announcer
By Daniel Pena

source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

-- Shawn Michaels recently told company officials that he's looking to take more time off than originally planned. He believes he's financially set for life and his children are at a certain age where they like him around, and he knows that's a very short window.

Original plans called for Michaels to return at SummerSlam, but he's looking to hold his return off until late this year or early next year for a good WrestleMania storyline. Although, this could change depending on his mood or if any of the major Superstars come down with an injury. If you recall, two years ago, Michaels talked about not coming back for a long time as a result of knee problems. Then John Cena tore his pec and his wife joked that he would be getting a phone call soon. He received the phone call the next day and was back in the ring sooner than initially hoped.

Michaels appears unsure about his long-term future in wrestling as he's made noise about retiring next year at WrestleMania, but he also feels he can still make appearances at big shows well into his fifties like Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. He also said that once his children become teenagers, being at home won't be as much as priority anymore as his kids won't want to hang around him as much. At that point, he'd be more open to spending more time on the road.

-- Vince McMahon was said to really be on Michael Cole's case at last week's Raw taping.

-- WWE hauled in the steel cage for last night's SmackDown/ECW taping, but the Edge vs. Jeff Hardy dark match following the tapings lasted a mere four minutes.

Bad announcing. Thats what he did.

Why is everyone here is talking about Michael Cole & Shawn Michaels, if you all should be talking about Mr. Kennedy returning!?!?!?

Super Smash Kid May 21st, 2009 11:38 AM

We already talked about him in the pervious page. He's not some sort of god that we have to praise him.

Oh and that submission PPV thing you said mewthree, I say the best name would be Breaking Point. But thats just me..

WrestleMania... might as well.

The submission match between John Cena and Big Show at Extreme Rules is a stupid idea. Extreme Rules is supposed to be a hardcore PPV... Submission matches are not traditionally hardcore...

Edit: Is there a reason this thread isn't stickied?

BHwolfgang May 21st, 2009 6:07 PM

There is a reason why: The Staff doesn't want to see it sticky'd.

Breaking Point would a cool name for a Pay-Per-View. However, why do I see it more of a TNA thing and not WWE…?

Leon K. Fox May 22nd, 2009 5:37 AM

I'm so bored of WWE (or WWF as it was known when I watched it) and professional wrestling on the whole, simply because the new main eventers suck and all the good ones were main eventtng in 2000 or earlier.

If HHH gets another near year long championship reign, I am going to scream. He gets WAY WAY WAAYYY too much screen time in WWE, and John Cena is a wanna be black gangster with no in ring talent, he wouldn't even take a bump through a table for Edge at one point, even Divas have taken that from people like the Dudleyz!

Honest May 22nd, 2009 8:27 AM

Actually, I think The new PPV is taking place of Extreme Rules if I'm not wrong.

Seriously, You all are haters, no offence. Honestly, though I think the chances of it happening is like 0.000000001%, tell me you would like to see evolution back. Dont hate Randy. Lolz, though his tactics with DiBiase and Rodes do disgust me.

Estobon, If I do recall, Kennedy and undertaker had a Last Ride match like 2 years, ago, one that he lost, REAL easyly to. Though, I gotta give him credit for being Mr. MITB at Wrestlemania 23.

Breaking Point is my vote. It goes perfectly with the Submission stipulation.

Leon, I do agree with the fact that the new main eventers are a little "noobish" compared to stars like The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold. But you gotta give WWE/WWF credit. It might not be as well, but their hanging in there.

HHH only cares about the number of championship belts he has...I was sorta glad he lost at Backlash....

Don't Hate Cena........Thats all I got to say about that, cause the rest is personal between me and my GF.

Oh, they did? That's sad. What a lame thing to do.

Yeah, WWE is definitely a shadow of WWF, it's previous generation, but that doesn't mean that the industry sucks. It's just lackluster, that's all.

That's why I made the move to TNA. Storylines are a joke, but the wrestling and talent is usually quite good.

It all depends on if Jeff resigns his contract: If he doesn't then Edge will win if he does then Jeff will.

CM Punk is a talented wrestler with a lot of potential.

The reason why his first reign as champion was a dud was because the creative staff didn't have anything for him.

Back on topic, I realy hope Punk is the first to fail at a money in the bank shot.

Because first thing that pissess me off is how he tries to copy Edge by cashing in the briefcase everytime after the match, and how he is considered a "2 time money in the bank winner" which we all know was Edge.

Besides I don't really find him championship matieral..

Ken Kennedy Injured
By Michael Bluth

-- Ken Kennedy made his in-ring return on Raw last night after being out of action for several months with a shoulder injury. Kennedy was a surprise participant in the "Lakers vs. Nuggets" 10-man tag match, but his return may be short lived. PWInsider.com reports that Kennedy injured his wrist during the match while taking an RKO from Randy Orton. There's no word yet on whether he'll miss any time, but this is another tough break for the fragile superstar. Kennedy has been injured for a considerable portion of his 4-year WWE career, missing 2 out of the last 4 WrestleManias.

Undertaker Has Surgery, Identity of Kroenke Impersonator & More
By Michael Bluth

-- The Undertaker has undergone hip surgery, according to ProWrestling.net. He had been suffering from hip and back pain for several months and the hope is that the surgery will eliminate the pain in both areas.

-- Ric Flair will be special guest referee for the ROH World Title match in New York City on 6/13. ROH champ Jerry Lynn will defend against Austin Aries. Nigel McGuinness will be ringside to watch the match.

-- The man who played Denver Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke last night on Raw was Troy Stone, an NWA ring announcer. (Source: PWInsider.com)

It's not that I hate him. It's just that he isn't very high on my tolerable list since there are very few wrestlers I can stand these days. In another time, late 90's, another name, WWF, perhaps. Not now though.

WWE Hands Out Free Tickets
By Daniel Pena

source: The Sun

-- In perhaps a first for World Wrestling Entertainment, they had people handing out free tickets all over Los Angeles on Monday — even outside the STAPLES Center before the show. The heavily papered show ended up drawing 8,000 to 9,000 fans.

While the Los Angeles Times ran a story saying Monday's Raw was sold out at a "special limited capacity," and Michael Cole claimed several times during the live broadcast that the building was "at capacity," in reality, the upper level seats were tarped off and darkened. Furthermore, most of the concession stands were closed.

It was also announced during the show that anyone who attended last night's SmackDown/ECW taping could get a ticket for half price if they showed their used ticket stub at the box office.

Your pretty late man. Lockdown was Sting vs Foley in a cage match for the title.

The Fatal 4 Way you are talking about is in Sacrifice. Which Stong won. BUT is not the champion because he pinned Kurt Angle. In order for him to have the title he had to beat Foley. So since Kurt Angle lost to Sting, Sting is the new MEM owner. (Because thats what Kurt Angle had to Sacrifice)

The next PPV is Slammiversary. Which the main event for it is King of The Mountain match.
