What Tech company would you...

Well, let's put this simply. If you had to buy a piece of technology, who would you buy it from? (and why?) The techs are listed below:

Desktop
Laptop
Printer
Camera

For me:

Desktop: I would actually buy it piece by piece and assemble it myself. If forced to buy it assembled, I'd go with Dell. They'e fixed the issues they had with hardware, their tech support it OK, and their computers work well.

Laptop: Dell. (For the same reasons, as well as the fact that they still offer XP on some) In fact, I'm using a Dell laptop right now.

Printer: It depends. If I wanted to save money on ink, I might go with HP. (Their printers usually print until the ink is gone, instead of using a "buffer") If I wanted something to look good and run quickly, I'd go with Canon. (HP printers install way too much on your computer)

Camera: Anything that has good reviews and uses an SD card. I don't care about any camera that uses XD (Olympus), Pro Duo, or Compact Flash cards. Those all cost a lot more for less data, have lower capacities, and generally lower quality. If it gets good reviews and uses an SD or Micro SD card, I'll be fine.

Desktop: I would build one myself. If that's not a choice then I;d have to go for an iMac, ergo Apple.

Laptop/ Notebook: Apple. they work for me and don't give me the headaches that windows machines do. nuff said

Printer: Epson. by far the best printers I've used have been Epson. HP and Canon tie for second place.

Camera: Nikon. coolpix are great for everyday snaps, but their D series rocks the pants off of all others. the Canon rebel series comes in second.

Desktop — Self-assembly. Intel processor, just what all computers I've used have, and they all work fine so I won't try to 'fix what isn't broken'; ATI video card because nVidia cards often have rendering problems as listed in game readmes, and because this laptop's X300 has proben to be very reliable; for other parts I have no preference.
If coerced to choose brand: Fujitsu-Seimens, if they're still around.

Laptop — No preference, so long as it complies to MIL-STD-810.

Printer Scanner — I hope you don't mind me making it scanner, because I don't use printers at all. In either case though I'd go Lexmark.

Camera — My preference is based on type of camera rather than brand: I like those ones where the photo comes out from the camera itself. Unfotunately however, those don't seem to be manufactured any longer.

Desktop: I'd rather build one myself. I'd put an AMD processor in it (dual-core preferably, at least a 3500+) with an nVidia-brand video card mostly because I have never had a problem with nVidia before (but I could live with an ATI, too). If I was required to buy a pre-manufactured one, I'd go with a Compaq-brand. They're cheap enough, and the only real downside is the fact that you have to remove all of the unnecessary diagnostics software it comes with.

Laptop: Either a Dell or Apple.

Printer: Either an Epson or an HP.

Camera: Nikon. I'm not a camera junkie, but my photographer friends say that it's the best brand out there.
