Which Old Skool Pokemon Game Do You Reckons Is Better?

Hey guys i am just wondering which old skool pokemon game you think is better Yellow,Blue,Red ?

I love Pokemon Blue Cause i am really sure it was the first pokemon eva made =D and i LOVE the classic pokemon cause there is sooo many glitches and less pokemon.

Anywayz Which Old skool pokemon game do you like and why?

Well, Red, as I never got Blue, and because it is my all time favourite Pokemon game. Originals FTW. I still remember the time when I had to restart my game because I caught Missingno xD

~Kavin~ January 28th, 2009 8:20 AM

Yeah I'd say red, blue, and yellow!

Underoos January 28th, 2009 8:59 AM

Well I had Red first, but I think I liked Yellow the most. I just got attached the having Pikachu walk around with me all the time :)

Sorry bud, but the first games released were Red and Green in Japan. Blue was released (along with Red) a few years later in America and Europe. So Red ftw!

wrong forum

this should be moved to the Metal/Colour Game section

and Blue and yellow are the best

i absolutely loved red as i got it when i was a kid, but when yellow came out it was even better, colours weren't great though, i got the game with my gbc and thought it was a bit of a let down really...
but its pokemon so gameplay was great. pikachu following you was pretty cool

Tanooki January 28th, 2009 10:53 AM

Blue was the very first I ever owned, so I'll go with that. I remember the very first time I started the game, and went to Prof. Oak's lab and picked Charmander as my starting pokemon. *sigh* Why must time go by so fast anymore? =P

red because its the only one ive played

EJames2100 February 8th, 2009 10:37 AM

Yellow, my favourite out of the old ones :)

Chocolate17 February 8th, 2009 5:07 PM

Red. I dont really like yellow unless it isnt Yellow Pikachu edition but yea red is cool.

Yellow, because the sprites are much better, and it still keeps the same gameplay as Blue and Red.
You even obtain all three starters, including Pikachu. That is a pretty sweet deal.

Bibliophibian February 8th, 2009 7:26 PM

Blue was my first Pokemon game, so I have to go with that. My Blastoise kicked face. :3

Yellow was good, but I get tired of Pikachu really easily. x-x

Editman February 8th, 2009 7:28 PM

Yellow because Bulbasur Charmander Squirtle and pikachu made me feel like ash

Caelus February 8th, 2009 8:31 PM

I'd say Yellow is the best. Sure, the game has the least improvements out of all the third versions, but it's still better than R/B, in my opinion.
It's easier to obtain the starters and the gym battles are a bit more challenging.
Overall, I find it to be the best of the three, by a lot.

I never played the originals but I just picked up all of them! R/B/Y and G/S/C! I really prefer R/B/Y over G/S/C. And If I had to pick a game from R/B/Y, I'd pick Blue!

SkittyWarriorcat February 10th, 2009 4:25 AM

Red and blue because yellow's missingno. is vicious if anyone doesnt know missingno. is a glitch pokemon

BenjiTheKid February 10th, 2009 4:30 AM

Well... I loved Yellow because I just loved that Pikachu. But, sometimes having him tag along everywhere just got about annoying. However, you could obtain all the starters including Pikachu- which... was a plus. It made me feel like Ash. xD Having a Bulbasaur, a Charmander, a Squirtle AND a Pikachu.

But, I played Red first and it's the one I'll always remember. xD

So, it would be a tie between Yellow and Red.

FastTonyDeNiro February 15th, 2009 9:12 PM

Red is my favorite, just because it's the one I own. I have yellow somewhere but I lost it.

Yellow is cool, getting all 3 starters. But there's just not really any improvement over Red or Blue.

Taisuru February 15th, 2009 11:02 PM

Either Blue or Gold for me. I didn't get red until shortly before Ruby/Saphire came out, and Silver was the version my brother played. Yellow is definitely my third choice though.

If I was to pick one version though... I'd have to say Blue. It's a classic.

Starom February 16th, 2009 8:49 AM

Good ol' Red, for me! :D I always loved that game! Plus, I trained my first high-level Gengar on there ^^

Besides, no games have been quite so amazingly glitchy since Red/Blue XD

UltimaLink007 February 16th, 2009 9:59 PM

For me, I'd have to say Red was my favorite of the R/G/B/Y series. The color blue never held much appeal to me, Green was Japan-only, and Yellow I loathed with a passion. I outright hated that game, mostly because I got it when I was Seven Years-Old, and didn't know I could get a Mankey, so I spent hours leveling Pikachu and Pidgey enough just to beat Brock. I also hated Pikachu, surprisingly enough. I was sick of it, being everywhere in the game, on the television... It just got annoying quickly.

Callandor February 17th, 2009 2:01 PM

Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even though I've never played it.

*whispering heard* What do you mean green isn't a chose. *more whispers* Oh.......Well then, I'll chose Blue because it was the first one I got.

Yes Yellow was HORRIBLE because of that i levelled Pikachu to level 15 jsut to beat brock! that took FOREVER i absolutely DESPISED doing that not only that but since i was so youngf and didn't want to leave pikachu, well pikachu is PATHETIC to be blunt even at lvl 100 if loreleis dewgond attacks with ice beam it'll take half your hp!!! Pikachu is absolutely useless. Even if you had to train so much for brock even at the second gym Pikachus stregnth mind you! it was still difficult! one attack would take out half your hp! and the last gym? Pikachu was an absolute peice of junk. I suppose it's a gltich but if you use an un-evolved un-trained Bulbasaur againts Nidoking or Nidowqueen they will only use defensive moves, so i just slowly beat them down with bulbasaur. Thats pathetic a lvl 10 bulbasaur doing better than a level 51 pikachu. Nintendo don't ever do that to us again! gives such a pathetic starter... (^^ sorry for the rant that jsut rlly brought back horrible memories)
