What were you're Favorite and least Favorite things about DPP
Honestly, DPP was my least favorite generation, so I want to know, what were your least and favorite things about DPP.
My favorite thing was the GTS, I loved trading with pokemon not in my area, I don't live in an area with many Pokemon players. My least favorite things were the music and the graphics. |
I liked the music, probably.
What I didn't like was there wasn't a massive change in graphics. |
I idnt like Graphics much.....I didlike the Poketch and Music,As well as The main Charcters.
|
I didn't like the whole national dex thing. I really hated feeling so restricted when it came to picking pokemon - but since that's going to be better in Platinum with more pokemon introduced before the Elite 4, I think I'll be happier.
I didn't like the poketch because it seemed fairly useless to me, but I heard it's changing in platinum, too. I did like how they changed moves up more (making physical water moves, special fighting moves, etc.), the new abilities and moves, evolutions that make prior useless pokemon more useful (Tangela, Electabuzz, Magmar). I think a big disappointment for me was that the eeveelutions aren't that great. : / Flareon didn't get any improvements, and I don't really like Glaceon or Leafeon. I'm still going to carry Umbreon or Vaporeon, but I think that the rest of the eeveelutions aren't very good and are outclassed. |
Didn't like:
The short supply of pokemon, and the very boring starters. The large amounts of double battles, and the escorting stuff. Fog! Ugh. Liked: Music. Graphics. Uh.. Not much else, kinda the same as before =X |
I liked the online features and the physical/special changes.
I didn't like the limited pokemon choices (only 2 fire types!?), or the new pokemon in general. Plus more HMs you needed to travel, I hate wasting the move space |
Favourite~
Eterna Forest (& Others) Track The Big TG Scene in Pt The Chaining Equation Least Favourite~ Defog Giratina |
Favs.
1.Music 2.The in game stuff was better than previous years. 3.Wifi Least favs. 1. That snow that is like smxcvfg, mdfrtrgg and takes years to walk through. 2. As cool as it was the battle tower, it was slightly repetitive. |
Favorites:
WIFI!!!!! The music was the best yet Improvements in the graphics (Although the bigger 3D aspects weren't too spectacular) The fact that the gyms and E4s went back to the level of challenge from the first generation Least Favorite: Freaking Snow >.< Freaking Fog >.< Lame Legends mostly (There are a few good ones :D) |
I liked the massive improvement in trading with the introduction to Wifi.
The coolest things about Pokémon games is the collecting, battling and trading. D/P gave it the trading part the games should have. The old games were rubbish for trading compared to Wifi, I remember the pain of link cables. With the old games I could only trade with a few friends but with Wifi I traded much more. Definitely the best thing about Diamond and Pearl! |
Gen IV is very dissapointing because it offers almost nothing new
We've seen the battle frontier b4 so why add it in Platinum as the next big thing? the only new stuff is underground and Wifi related stff which really aren't that big a deal or could be better*coughcoughGTScoughcough* Wifi has made trading and collecting a lot more easy and maybe thats what gamefreak/Nintendo wanted this Gen to be about but I wanted knew stuff just like how great it was back in the day to see our first battle tower or battle frontier or nw whatever but lol who cares they give us some new Pokes and we still buy the game regardless of whats in it |
The thing that annoyed me was the battles getting slowed down.
|
Favorite: Wi-Fi, the new characters, some of the new pokemon, and the physical/special changes. That was massively needed.
Least favorite: BLOODY SNOWPOINT ASDKGUEHGWITJAGF;; Also the fact that most of the cool pokes were post-national dex and the blatant lack of fire-types. Come on, TWO? Seriously, what is this I don't even-- At least Platinum corrected this to an extent. |
Favorites:
-Music -Wi-fi -Team Galactic -Towns -MT. Coronet -Snow Least favorites: -Repetitive Battle Tower -Slightly easy difficulty -Lack of Fire-types That's about it, I think. |
My favorite in D/P is GTS and I like some of the new pokemon.
My least favorite was that the surf is slow, slow loading screens, and the game was not too realistic to me. I wanted to see more real and creative things like for an example: create/design your character, make pokemon wear clothes or make up just like the tv show of pokemon, and have pokemon walk with u. ;] |
the WIFI was deff one my favorite things. some of the pokemon were cool .but a lot were simply add-ons to others (though very much need)
least favorite stuff, lack of pokes in beginning, i mean only 2 fires , wtf :s gts was not so great since u get loads of rediculous trades in it. i want to see more steel types :x |
Like very much:
-Wi-fi! Yeah~ -Chimchar. D/P allows you only TWO fire-types before the E4. Eh. So I trasure my Chimchar. (Well, Platinum added more. I still love lil Chimchar though. "Ooh ticky ticky, who's my BIG widdle man?") -Team Galactic. -Shaymin!!!!!!!!!!! -The Battle Frontier in Platinum. It's not bad, actually. I go there a lot and still find it good. Dislike VERY much: -FREAKING SLOW SURFING SPEED. afjkfoksetijhusorj But Platinum changed that. THANK GOD. -Snow *coughsaioagjiosrgsjskklfhwkacough*. I will NEVER go back there, unless I am ultra bored. -Fog. Defog is a waste of your 4-move limit. Besides, you wouldn't die without Defog. |
I love wi-fi, the GTS sometimes, the new sprites for a lot of my favourites, Pal Park, the post-elite four storyline and the new Legendaries (my favourite types of pokémon).
I don't like the snowy route, the fog, the lack of fire pokémon and the lame starters. |
I loved the GTS. it was to be able totrade with people from everywhere even though its not perfect. Other than that I thought it was average on the whole

WHY do they have only TWO fire types available before the elite 4?
The graphics are good, and so is the music. I also like the funny storyline twists. But like other people said before surfing is too slow! |
My favorite thing about Diamond/Pearl/Platinum was the GTS because it has helped me so much with my pokedex.
My least favorite thing about Diamond/Pearl/Platinum would be the way the girl and boy characters look. |
ASPECTS I LIKED
- Graphics, sure they're different but I really like them personally, almost like Animal Crossing. - Story, got a little while to get into but I didn't mind it. - Wifi/online features - Seeing pokemon rather than catching them to fill the Sinnoh dex (I still catch them regardless. ASPECTS I DISLIKED - Starters, yeah... No I'm not happy about them AT ALL - Majority of D/P pokemon, some were really good and others were just horrible. |
I also liked:
The Team Galactic Music I hated: Arceus: no one cares about Mew anymore :( The pokemon: Their worst so far The Battle Music: I hated the battle music!!! |
WHAT I LIKED
I liked the graphics (yes I do.). I liked the online features I did like the starters actually XD WHAT I DID NOT LIKE The Story. The unnecessary Pokemon. The Underground not being connected to Wi-Fi. And the fact that you still have to physically go to places to get events, WTF?! |
Likes:
GTS, Made trading Pokemon THAT much easier -> [---] New Pokemon. Pal Park. Dislikes: Recycled Storyline. Events. |
