SERIOUS PROBLEM

I recently downloaded "Let there Be Rock" by AC/DC, it had no viruses (i scanned the file) and when I try to change the file name my PC restarts. I scanned my PC and I had no viruses, and the same happened when I downloaded some stuff (again i scanned them and they had no viruses) and when I tried to record with vba.

If anyone could tell me how do i solve this problem i would really appreciate it.

Hmm... maybe it's a Trojan...

If it is a Trojan try booting your computer in safe mode and scanning it that way.

If you don't know how to boot in safe mode all you do is:

Reboot/Start up your PC and hold down the F8 key until you come up to a screen with different boot options.

Select Safe Mode.

Scan your entire computer again.

Also wherever your getting these files... I wouldn't go to the site again.

Yeah, thank you a lot, im gonna try that. Too bad the trial version of my anti-virus system has expired =(

the expiration of the antivirus, plus the fact that most trial versions have limited capabilities could also affect the scan. try getting a copy of something like Avast antivirus or AVG Free. both are free and useful antivirus programs that I use when I don't have the funds to get/renew my paid AV subscription.

I tried AVG and it didnt work I have NOD32 which is much better in my opinion. Ill try to get the full version. Again, thanks a lot.

buy cd's.
theyr way better than downloading songs and theyr also legal :P

I would suggest deleting the file, and possibly redownloading it.
Then get AVG Free or Avast.
Make sure the file is from a legitimate source. Songs don't cost that much on iTunes, or the Zune Marketplace. They're pretty cheap. So, if you can, download the mp3 file from there.

I downloaded from mediaconverter.org, where i put the YouTube link of the song and it converts it in a few secs and its free. I think its virus free but I dont know...

Ah, ok. If I were you, I'd try VideoGetting. That site works better, and you can select mp3 as a file type.
I've had trouble with corrupted files when I've used mediaconverter.org .
Although, I've never had trouble with VideoGetting.
