Best DS Games around
Hey people. Im gonna buy a DS game, but cant decide which. Other then PKMN, what game should I get? And Whay. Thanks peeps. ;)
|
Advance Wars Dual Strike is a few years old but a very good stategy game of that's your kind of thing. 42 All time classics (I belive it's called "Clubhouse Games" in America) is also excellent value.

Final Fantasy IV is one of the finest RPG's I've ever played, not to mention my favorite game on the DS. It not only has an amazing opening sequence, but also has spectacular cutscenes which incorporate voice acting. It has everything the 2D version had, but displayed in a way you would never think possible.
This game truly showed what is great about the DS. ....There is one problem, but it's miniscule and doesn't affect gameplay at all. The online play is very limited and it's based off traning some sort of creature and battling others with it. Not the best, but that's not the main part of the game. |
The one game I believe you should get it The World Ends with You. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has played it who would place it in his/her top 5 DS games.

Phoenix Wright and all of its sequels are awesome, although I'm not sure if they fit your tastes.
Kirby Super Star Ultra is also a good bet. |
Final Fantasy Tactics A2 is a pretty addicting strategy game. Metroid Prime Hunters is also a good FPS, it's just that the online play is full of cheaters. I'd also recommend Tetris DS. It's a good game to play when you're stuck on the bus or if you're waiting for something while you're out.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Mario Kart DS, and Professor Layton and the Curious Village are the best DS games I've played.

Puzzle / Mystery
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Professor Layton and the Curious Village Action & RPG The World Ends With You Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Chrono Trigger DS Rhythm Elite Beat Agents Rhythm Heaven (if it's out) Racing Mario Kart DS Any of those are a great choice. |
How could you forget Pokemon! Umm...Mario Kart is awesome, I also recommend LoZ: Phantom Hourglass.
|
Here's a list of games that might interest you:
-Pokemon Diamond/Pearl -New Super Mario Bros. -Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney and it's sequals -Professor Layton and the Curious Village -Mario Kart Wii -Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass -Kirby Super Star Ultra -Kirby Canvas Curse It really depends on what type of genre you prefer, but these are pretty good choices. |
Here is what I would reccomend:
The Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass: Not only is it a great sequel to Wind Waker, it utilises the Touchscreen in unique ways like drawing a triforce to jotting down codes and important notes. Final Fantasy DS Remakes: Most of these are excellent, however I'm not sure as the only one I own is Final Fantasy III :\ But I think its a good game :) Animal Crossing Wild World: If you own a Wii, I'd reccomend you get City Folk but if you dont, Animal Crossing WW is a peaceful game thatinvolves you doing daily things in a town which you get to name. Also, neighbours and trees in your village are random, so if you hate your neighbours/trees you can make a new city. Also, it utilises WiFi (if you have it) along with Wireless Communication (if yo have any friends that have it.) Mario Kart DS: A good game in its own right but if you have a Wii I reccomend you get that before the DsS one (or both if you have the money.) Mario kart DS follows the same formula as the older versions (except Double Dash's 2 people on a kart addition.) It has a few battle stages and interesting courses like Luigi's Mansion and Waluigi Pinball alon with older courses which, if you've played older versions, will give you a lot of nostalgia. if you ever get bored of racing, there are a load of missions you can do, with getting stars ona ll of them give you a little....treat ;) Super Mario 64 DS: Again, another Mario game. Another remake too. Basically, the story is the exact same as the original except you get to play as Yoshi, Luigi and Wario too! There are more stars and there is a battle mode where you VS your friends and try to get the most stars. Along with all this, there are minigames too! Finally, New Super Mario Bros: This game is similar to the first one except with stunning graphics, new items, minigames (similar to Mario 64 DS), new items including one which makes you really big and a new plot including new enemies and bosses. The stages are similar to the originals but at the same time completely different. i dont want to spoil the plot but I will say Bowser doesn't steal the Princess this time ;) And thats my (really long) post done. I hope you find the perfect DS Game for you ;) |
