Need help in training!!
I need help in training, where can I train for elite four????? here's my team if there's any problem in it please help (In Pokéemon LeafGreen)
Blastoise LV.47 @ Leftovers Surf Hydro Cannon Bite Water Gun Raichu LV.45 Slam ThunderBolt Flash Quick Attack Pidgeot LV.45 Fly Wing Attack Gust Quick Attack Graveler LV.46 Strength Rock Tomb Magnitude Earthquake Persian LV.46 Cut Pay Day Bite Faint Attack pLeAsE hElP!!!! |
Well, your first problem is giving your Pokemon more than one attacking move of the same Type. Take Blastoise for example. When do you ever plan to use Water Gun, when you have two superior moves in Surf and Hydro Cannon? All you have done is limit your Pokemon from being more effective. Saddling your Pokemon with worthless HM moves does the same thing. I would use a team of four Pokemon and then have two Pokemon as HM slaves. Your Pokemon choices are also curious, but everyone has their own tastes.
To be honest, to defeat the "elite" four, your Pokemon levels are just fine. You just need to diversify your movesets and make one Pokemon change. Here is what I would suggest (fixes in bold): Quote:
For the "elite 4", these Pokemon will handle them with ease: Lorelei - Raichu destorys this entire team Bruno - Blastoise takes down both Onix, and Kadabra does the rest Agatha - Kadabra dominates with 5 OHKO Lance - Raichu takes out Gyarados and then Blastoise does the rest Gary - Raichu can actually win out here usually, but look for help from Kadabra on Venusaur. As you can see, you only used 3 Pokemon. Good luck. |
thanks very much!!!!! but, I don't think Blastoise needs rest because my Blastoise has verY very much defense....., I have a Kadabra at LV.20...... BUT STILL thanks very much!!!!!
by the way if I use Blizzard instead of Ice Beam?? |

Even if your Blastoise has high defense, you should still give it Rest. It's a good move, and you can use a Pokéflute to wake it up. It's free healing, as opposed to buying Hyper Potions or Full Restores. |
Use your vs. seeker to fight the trainers that are willing to battle again and I suggest train your pokemon at the cinnabar mansion, seafoam islands, islands 1,2,3 and victory road. ;D

A good place to train would most likely be the Victory Road. There is some astouding trainers to train with along with high level Pokemon.
Good luck. |

As I said before, and as Vrai repeated above, giving a Pokemon two attacking moves of the same type is pointless. Hydro Cannon is a HORRIBLE move to begin with. Not only is a two-turn move, but it also is only 5 PP, not to mention the fact that it is only 90% effective. Now look at it another way. While it is 150 Attack Power, Surf is 95 AP. What that means is that if you consider the second turn where you cannot do anything, that makes Hydro Cannon really a pathetic 75 AP move. The end result is that you can do more damage attacking twice with Surf than you can in those same turn only being able to attack once with Hydro Cannon. I also want to echo Vria's other comment about Rest. You can NEVER discount free healing. Rest is perfect for Blastoise and should replace Hydro Cannon.
As with Kadabra, Psybeam is a worthless move, as it is inferior in every way to Psychic. I will have to assume the fact that you haven't added Shock Wave means that you have probably used it on something already. Unfortunate. Well, you can always teach it Reflect. Your Graveler looks great and your Raichu is almost there. Don't forget that the Move Tutor that teaches Substitute is found in Fuchsia City, just northwest (if I remember correctly) of the Pokemon Center. Once your movesets are complete you should be able to go ahead and take on the "elite" 4 and win pretty handily. Good luck to you. BTW - Could you also provide the natures of your Pokemon. That might also shed some light on a few things. |
OK as you said shanecdavis here are my pokémon's natures:-
Blastoise - Impish Raichu - Quiet Kadabra - Naughty Graveler - Lax that's all hey there!!! thanks for giving me ideas to defeat elite four! I won!! and now I'm the Hall Of The Famer!!!!!!! these are the Pokémons:- Blastoise LV.51 Raichu LV.50 Pidgeot LV.46 Graveler LV.47 THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!!!! MOSTLY SHANECDAVIS |
