Why are Gold, Silver, Pokemon harder to obtain in newer games

I wanted to know why do they make it so difficult to get the pokemon from Gold, Silver, Crystal to obtain in the newer games i think they really need to do a remake for Gold, Dilver And Crystal like they did for FireRed and Green

Completing the Pokedex in any pokemon game is a hard matter.
It is Nintendo's money making policy.
You can get those pokemon in newer games by connecting cable with Pokemon Colleseum.

Because they're promoting the new pokemon in the new games.

Yeah I know that but like you know how long I wanted A Houndoom before the the newest games came out Or a Ferligator

I'd imagine it's because of the inevitable G/S/C remake. Those versions will most likely appear and then the obvious comes true.

As for R/S/E — what Xelios said.

they make it like that so you'll have to buy more of there games to obtain more pokemon or complete the pokedex

g.narron March 2nd, 2009 10:51 AM

I just hope they remake them soon....XD

There are two reasons I can think of off the top of my head.

1). Diamond and Pearl introduced Sinnoh and the fourth generation of Pokémon. Why would they draw the spotlight away from the new batch of creatures by letting people play through the game with Johto Pokémon? If they made a fourth generation, they're going to promote it, not let it die while they bring back Pokémon from an era that has come and gone.

2). The possibility for a remake exists. More people will buy the game so they can trade between their own games to get the PokéDex in Diamond, Pearl or Platinum complete. Why would Nintendo want to make themselves lose sales by making Johto Pokémon more easily obtainable in the latest three game?

Really? For me, I think ruby/sapphire/emerald is hard to catch pokemon than the other gen. games. lol

pokecatcher1 March 2nd, 2009 9:08 PM

i have had the same experience as iciclezpenguin, i find r/s/e to be much harder to catch pokemon than gold and silver

s0nido March 3rd, 2009 12:02 PM

They want to make money by making you buy all these extra games and consoles.

titodsik1 March 3rd, 2009 1:28 PM

Yeah thats true they want to make more money cause i know i can obtain the legendary dogs from Pokemon Fire/REd but i always wanted to get chikorita, cyndaquil and totodile so i guess im going to have to wait for the remake
