R.I.P. Diamond and Pearl?

With the new arrival of Pokemon Platinum, most likely people will only uses Diamond and Pearl to train and send their Pokemon to Platinum. How many of you will be one of those people?

I'm actually one of them lol
(:

I hate to say it but I am too:( It's getting old but I've enjoyed my 1+ year of Pearl

"Shadow Lugia" March 17th, 2009 6:19 PM

I'm probably going to stop playing Pearl. The same thing happened to my Diamond game once I got Pearl.

I kind of feel bad, but at least I'll be bringing my Pokemon with me.

Espeon Master March 17th, 2009 6:23 PM

I won't stop playing my diamond version. Every generation I get at least one game to restart over and over and one game I keep and try to complete everything in. Platinum will be my restart game and Diamond I'll continue to try to do everything in.

oMaJoJ March 17th, 2009 6:31 PM

I'm probably going to use my Diamond version to train my Platinum pokemon so I don't feel so bad.

I do that too. Since my Pearl has an ungodly amount of pokemon stored, I'm not transferring the pokemon and restarting that file. In addition, I still have event pokemon to pick up, such as Deoxys and Dragonite, which I'm not going to any time soon. Therefore, Platinum will also be my restart game.

BHwolfgang March 17th, 2009 6:51 PM

I don't have any, so it won't matter much to me.

It probably won't be the end, because of just the fact that some people just don't want to let go of their old games.

Nnoitra Jiruga March 17th, 2009 7:31 PM

Guess I'll continue playing D/P. : P
I might EVENTUALLY get bored of it. x D
But...anyways, I'll play Plat. more than Diamond.

Inferno1 March 17th, 2009 8:56 PM

Well right now i play pearl and my sister plays diamond so when i get platinum im going to give my pearl to my other sis and we can ll play together

Tyrantrum March 17th, 2009 9:20 PM

I'm actually playing Diamond now for the arrival of Platinum.
But, I'll still play Diamond now and then. :3

Nitrous Oxide March 17th, 2009 9:23 PM

I'll be migrating my Pokemon over to Platinum (and giving Pearl to my sister).

RYOUKI March 17th, 2009 9:30 PM

I'll still playing my D/P. Actually, I'll use my D/P to get the missing Pokemon in Pearl, and vice-versa.

hiei-chan March 17th, 2009 10:09 PM

sadly once i get platium will only be used for training pokemon and getting a good team together for ma platium =/

CharizardCharz March 17th, 2009 10:15 PM

I will never use D/P again one I have Platinum.

Haza March 17th, 2009 11:37 PM

Im planning to use my Diamond and Pearl as storage since I dont have Ranch. Im gonna use AR to clone my teams just in case too.

Mitchman March 17th, 2009 11:46 PM

Yeah as haz diamond for storage. otherwise they are as good as dead. I mean platinum is making me feel like im playing pokemon again.

LethalTexture March 17th, 2009 11:51 PM

The third versions in each generation are always the main game anyway. I always considered D/P to be Platinum Lite.

Ayano Katagiri March 18th, 2009 12:16 AM

My Diamond game has absolutely everything I have on it, with all my Pokemon, events and shinys. I don't really want to spend that time transferring across 250+ Pokemon to a new game. So I'll probably start Platinum, but keep everything that's important and major (such as my competitive team) on my Diamond.

World King March 18th, 2009 12:38 AM

Well, I'll use my Pearl to store Shiny and Event Pokémon and for Trades, that's for sure, so it still has some use. Platinum will be used to battle and raise my Teams, and all.

Ash987 March 18th, 2009 1:29 AM

I usually get all three versions. The first is my favourite of the original two released (silver, sapphire, diamond). Which I play for ridiculos hours to complete the Pokedex and get 10-30 LVL100's. The second is the other original, when it comes down in price (my restart game) (gold, ruby, pearl), and then the remake to play for fun because it's slightly more interesting and it's upgraded.

inhisxeyes March 18th, 2009 7:39 AM

I'll definitely keep playing Diamond. I'll eventually get Pearl, too, and that can be one of my do-over games :D

Kokuo March 18th, 2009 8:03 AM

I gave my Pearl to my sister, but I'll keep playing my Diamond and probably use it to train pokemon and use it for extra storage.

That's exactly what my plan is, except I have Pearl.

Jr. Berry Master March 18th, 2009 10:30 AM

I'm planning to use Pearl as a parking lot (an extra PC to store pokemon in) and breeding ground to supply pokemon to Platinum.

Neutrino March 18th, 2009 11:33 AM

I'll do what I did with my Emerald&Sapphire- I have loads of good pokemon on Sapphire, then I get emerald, and play ont hat,. Then, when I've gotten to the tend and want to start a new game, I catch loads of rubbish pokemons on my Sapphire, then trade them for all the good ones I don't ant to lose on my Emerald, so I can start a new game!^^ I ended up having, like 5 Rayquazas and 6 Kyogres, but only about 2 Groudons
