English Version of Charon's (Pluto's) Diary

As you may already know, I hacked all the events on Platinum last night and shared the codes woth you in one of my threads.

Now, we've heard the Japanese = English Version of Charon's, or better known as Pluto's, Diary in The Secret Room in the Galactic Hideout in Eterna.

But what about the complete English Version? Has Game freak taken away important details, or added more? Let's see:
DIARY 1
"It was by pure chance that I obtained information about the Pokemon ROTOM.
Remarkably, ROTOM has the ability to enter and merge with special motors.
It's now known that ROTOM can stay inside a motor almost indefinately.
However, it will emerge if it enters a Union Room or Wi-Fi Club.
ROTOM will also emerge from the motor if it is left at the Day Care.
ROTOM may also forget certain moves when it leaves a motor.
This Pokemon requires exxhaustive observation and analysis.
To ensure I get all the credit, my ROTOM research must be kept secret.
They will come to recognize me as the scientific genius Char..."
THE REST IS BLANK

DIARY 2
"It was when I found my toy robot, one that I had earlier misplaced.
At that instant, a Pokemon' startlingly emerged from the lawn mower's motor!
Clutching my robot, I stared, transfixed by the peculiar Pokemon.
The Pokemon hovered in the air, held aloft by a power unseen.
As if curious and unafraid of my presence, it floated toward me.
Crackling sounds accompanied it, as if from static electricity in the air.
Remarkably, it seemed the Pokemon was the source of this power.
In alarm, I flinched, certain that my face would be subjected to a shock.
Much to my surprise, the Pokemon seemed to favor me with a smile.
Finally, I came to realize that the Pokemon only wished to be friends.
I have decided to name this most wonderous Pokemon "ROTOM".
Simple though it may be, ROTOM emerged to me from the motor of a lawn mower.
Motor and ROTOM? Surely the link is obvious?
ROTOM is a Pokemon that is simply sensational.
That fact that it can turn invisible is simply the beginning.
What makes ROTOM unique is it's ability to enter and operate machinery!
ROTOM and I became fast friends. We were perpetual companions.
The electricity from its body forbade contact, however.
We could not touch, let alone hug or hold hands, but we cared not.
For we are bonded on a much deeper, incorporeal level.
A feeling of mischief got the better of me one day.
Seeing ROTOM hovering, I decided to startle it--normally I would not.
Perhaps frightened, ROTOM discharged power beyond its usual range.
I fell, stunned, into the arms of unconsciousness...
When I came to, to my horror, I realized that ROTOM had disappeared.
I searched high and low for my friend in dismay and desperation.
"Don't chastise youself."
"The fault is mine. No harm done..."
"Let us play like we always have."
Though my words poured out, my friend could not be found to hear them.
My search for ROTOM carried me far from home.
It was in the town's rubbish heap that I again found my old toy robot.
Curiously, our eyes met, then the robot waved a hand as if in greeting.
I knew then that I had found my lost friend.
I ran to it and hugged ROTOM tight, talking on and on.
The robot's eyes lit up happily as I held it.I'm certain that, within it, ROTOM was emitting lots of electricity.
Somehow, I felt I could understand ROTOM's thoughts better than before.
Also, i realized that we would remain friends throughout our lives..."

That's a very good extract of the diary. It teaches us ebout the origins of the diary but, I never know Rotom was Motor backwards :|.

Milke April 2nd, 2009 11:45 AM

Yeah, I never noticed ROTOM being MOTOR backwards either...

WisherWisherWish April 2nd, 2009 12:10 PM

Glad you both liked the entry.
It touched my heart a little too.

Giratina ♀ April 2nd, 2009 12:19 PM

Aw. <3 That was a great entry. Who know that Pluton was actually capable of writing something that made me smile with heart-warmyness?

And yep, I never noticed the motor/Rotom thing either. xD

WisherWisherWish April 2nd, 2009 12:23 PM

Lol
Even after WRITING it, I never noticed ROTOM was MOTOR backwards until all of you started mentioning it lol.

Dr.Garrison April 2nd, 2009 12:39 PM

I never noticed the Motor thing either. I don't understand why Rotom is so highly respected? Sure there is only one in the game, but he doesn't seem that cool/strong to me.

Giratina ♀ April 2nd, 2009 1:02 PM

Probably because I've got a lazy pronunciation habit and said Rotom as "row-dumb". :/

Ehh, more than one. It can breed, though maybe not in Platinum -.- I'll have to try it.
This diary is cool, though IMO it's a little sappy.

I have to wonder though,
If Charon (Pluto) owned Rotom, then why was it in the Old chateua and not in the Secret Room?
It's supposed to be a Legendary Pokemon, meaning there's only one of it's kind.
Did Charon (Pluto) release it or was the Old Chateau his old house?

It's actually not a Legendary Pokemon. Here. Also, yes, you can breed it.

Haza April 2nd, 2009 2:28 PM

Its cute but its wrong. Rotom doesnt change back when in Union Rooms or the Wifi Club.

WisherWisherWish April 2nd, 2009 2:30 PM

That's what it says. Maybe it was a typo in the American Version.

Shen April 2nd, 2009 2:41 PM

Eh, bit disappointed that he talk about any real research on Rotom.

WisherWisherWish April 2nd, 2009 2:42 PM

Well, we know he must of researched what machines Rotom could master. he discovered five. We know that much.

Elite Overlord LeSabre™ April 2nd, 2009 3:39 PM

Wow, who knew Charon/Pluto had it in him to write something like that. Though of course later on he would use it for his experiments.

I first realized the Rotom/Motor thing when I saw it in another member's signature not too long ago.

Haza April 2nd, 2009 3:46 PM

Is his diary in the library? If so its more fuel to the Rotom being legendary theory because for the most part only legendary Pokemon get books in the library.

WisherWisherWish April 2nd, 2009 9:05 PM

Well, you can olny find his diary in the Eterna galactic hideout and the Secret Key Event or an A.R cheat (wink wink).

The CriminaL April 3rd, 2009 6:28 AM

Wow, how touching...and I never realized that ROTOM-MOTOR thing...I guess we do learn new things everyday!

Kayin April 3rd, 2009 9:23 AM

I never realized that Rotom was motor spelled backwards. It should be pretty obvious but I never noticed. Haha.

I'm pretty sure that it does. Have you actually tested it?

Haza April 3rd, 2009 10:05 AM

I have tried it and it works. Plus there are plenty of videos posted with them being used.

Mitchman April 3rd, 2009 10:25 AM

After reading diary entry 1 am i the only one who got some foreshadowing that the 5th gen might have Charon come back as a galactic leader in a region south of Sinnoh for revenge against both regions as the one south might be Lookers home region and where he was held in jail and Sinnoh for doing this to him? Or do i look into things too much XD
Anyway aww it warmed my heart to read that. I wonder how he became so evil.

I don't see how Charon and Rotom correlate at all.

WisherWisherWish April 3rd, 2009 11:18 AM

Well, I WISH (lol) that you could battle Charon (Pluto) in the game.
What's the use of him anyway. All he does is talks and talks.
