True or False?
Is it true that shiny Pokemon have a lower catch rate than non-shiny Pokemon? Or is this just my imagination?
I was chaining a Trapinch today, and I remember how easy Trapinch were to catch. I mean, in RSE, I could catch a Trapinch at full health with an Ultra Ball. So I wen't to Route whatever and started chaining. Lo and behold, I found a Trapinch. I threw a Dusk Ball cuz it was night. Close, but no cigar. More and more Dusk Balls. In the end, I went from around 150 DBalls to 60 DBalls to catch that Trapinch. So, is this just my bad luck or is the tall tale about shinies actually true? *I suspect this is the wrong section, but I AM talking about D/P, not really RSE for the most part.* |
It is false. Pokemon of the same species will have the same catch rate regardless of whether they are shiny or not. You just had really bad luck.
