I cant Beat the E4 on Firered

Grrr. I cant beat them lol,I have got to the last guy but that was it

Toothache September 15th, 2004 4:37 PM

Post your current team and we'll see what we can do to improve it (besides copious amounts of levelling)

Desaparecidos September 15th, 2004 4:40 PM

also, make sure you have tons of full restores as well as revives. that will def help you a lot. ;D

NiNGi September 15th, 2004 4:43 PM

And most of all the thing I believe in mostly is to train your pokemon well.... make sure that they are at at least 5 to 10 levels above the E4 ones... that way you're almost sure you will win if you use the right strategy and if you exploit the types of pokemon at the best of it.
I usually train in victory road a lot before facing the E4 and i have never lost against them.

ryan September 15th, 2004 4:44 PM

the E4 weren't a problem for me. i brought a ton of items with me and i didn't skip any trainers througout the whole game. so my pokemon were pretty beefed up.

PokemonMaster September 15th, 2004 4:51 PM

Have your Poke'Mon be coutner-types, such as Fire beats Leaf. Also, your Poke'Mon should be at LVL 60+. That's how I beat them.

NiNGi September 15th, 2004 4:54 PM

Yeah, the minimum level i must have before facing the E4 is 60... if u have pokemon at lv 60 or more you can be sure to beat them easily... also as others said back them up with loads of items and they will stand no chance against u ;)

I hope this helped... now im going to sleep... goodnite =P

Mr Cat Dog September 15th, 2004 11:06 PM

Be sure to switch in Pokemon if they can beat the oppnenent with a OHKO or possibly TKHO if it's not too powerful. Buy lots of items from the store, and train a lot more. It'll be well worth it in the end... accomplishing this feat was always the hardest Elite Four of all I think.

VanirElf September 16th, 2004 11:42 AM

They're not so hard, my whole team we lv.50's
the hardest one to beat was Lorelie for me...but after her
everyone was easy

salamenceruler04 September 16th, 2004 4:38 PM

Its guna be easy for me..im at the 7nth gym and all my pokemon are at 50 already

aqonix September 16th, 2004 4:43 PM

I suggest using the vs. seeker for fast level up

Stevo-kun September 16th, 2004 9:32 PM

I managed to beat the Elite 4 the first time with my Pokemon at Lv.52. It wasn't easy but thanks to Full Restores and Revives I managed to get past them XD.

Also alot of thanks to Blastoise and Hydro Cannon XD.

After you beat the Elite 4 once, you can re-challenge them again. However, their pokémon's levels are higher, so they'll be even harder than before (if you had trouble with them). Example: Lorelei's pokemon's levels now average the mid 60s, while Lance's pokémon are now high 60s-low 70s. Oh, and they use different pokémon this time around as well. Bruno, for example, replaces his two Onix with Steelix, and Lance replaces evolves one Dragonair to Dragonite and replaces the other with Kingdra. So if you want to take the Elite 4 down this time, raise your pokémon to at least the mid 80s.

Casey September 17th, 2004 6:56 AM

Maybe you should tell something about your team and levels.
I think, the best levels for E4 are 60-70 + good movestets.
Also, you must have good types of pokemon (Lorelei-electric, Bruno-grass and psychic, Lance-ice etc.).

Zoda_X September 17th, 2004 7:03 AM

They aren't really hard I have a team now of level 45 Pokemon and I just beat Lance So It's not that hard and oh yeah I got like 10 Hyper Potions,I will tell you my team

Venusaur lv47(Bruno was easy)
Hypno lv48(Agatha)
Fearow lv47(Bruno)
Ninetales lv46(Agatha)
Vaporeon lv51(Lance Ice Beam done)
Magneton(Lorelei)
As you see my Pokemon were pathetic but I beat everyone of the Elite 4..on to my rival....

DarkTerror September 18th, 2004 1:03 AM

You don't really have to raise your Pokemon to above level 60, mine were in the 40's and 50's when I beated the elite four. I firstly used the types for my advantage, and I also took the time to catch Zapdos and Articuno, then helped me alot(Plus, they were the ONLY L50's in my team) =P

seraphim September 19th, 2004 4:54 AM

yeah, i had weak ones too...level 53 was my highest, i think... i used all type advantage and strategy. i'd save before each one then do a test-fight to see what they sent out first, then definately be able to beat them the next time, because i had a team that could destroy anything but fire-types, basically. also, a cheap way, buy everything that you can in the way of revives and max potions, until you have very little money left. then just go all-out on the e4, and gain levels. when you are defeated, you will lose half of your cash, but it's ok, because you had very little from buying all that stuff at the store. with the amulet coin, if you lose, you can have about 25,000 moneys..or whatever they are called... and your pokemon will have gained a lot of experience. lather rinse repat, until you are tough enough to beat them. cheap, but effective. also, those items you buy will help you when you do it for real.

Elite Four Lance November 3rd, 2004 1:51 AM

When I am against the Elite Four the first time I buy a lot of Full Restores and Revives. They come in use later when you are up against Gary I think. Did you catch the legendary birds because they help you a lot.

shark3019875 November 3rd, 2004 3:28 PM

when i started i picked charmander and i new it was going to to be had with brock and then i trained it to lvl 24 and beat him and in the e4 he was the only pokemon i used cause he was a 90 i only owned like 50 pokemon at the time lol

Sephiroth November 3rd, 2004 3:48 PM

Heh, my team was....

Just Venusaur, level 85.

Only 1 max potion

shark3019875 November 3rd, 2004 7:16 PM

cool (Mubbles) mine better lol

Happy Dude November 3rd, 2004 10:34 PM

they arent that hard really just have them around level 60.you could also catch the three birds.that might help.

Elite Four Lance November 4th, 2004 1:51 AM

Or you could just catch some Pokemon that are strong against the Elite Four. If you train your Pokemon high enough you might be able to pick on their weakness. It helps. Good luck.

Deaths Jaws November 4th, 2004 3:42 AM

if you really want just go and level to level 50 or so in victory road. have weaknesses covered by your pokemon (use the buyable TM's for this or ones you get from game corner if the guys ur like/are using arnt that great elementally).

once you hit level 50 with most and high 40's with others ust keep hitting the elite four untill you beat them...if you loose then you have just gained a PACKET load of exp and a few grand in poke cash. buy up what you need and try again.

Jaws...

BTW: make sure you spend ALL your poke cash on items before you try this technique cos each time you white out you loose half of your funds. also be sure to be packing ELIXERS!! ive ran out of PP's too many times on my powerful attacks more than once. get them and when you run out or are down to 2 or 3 PP's use them to get 10 more..or even re-PP after the 3rd member.

just my 2 cents

Elite Four Lance November 5th, 2004 3:18 AM

I had a Charizard at level 68 when I battled the Elite Four. It wasn´t that hard.
