Yugioh - Most broken cards in the game?

What do you think are the most broken (most powerful) cards in the game?

Here is one I think is just stupid:

Green1124 April 10th, 2009 12:43 PM

technically there is no most powerful/weakest monster... unless u count kuriboh

Captain Fabio April 10th, 2009 1:02 PM

What?

No, I mean the cards that just change the duel. That can just win the duel for you.
Like DAD when it first came out.

If anime-only cards are allowed, I think maybe every one of Dartz's cards except maybe Orichalcos Gigas and Orichalcos Malevolence.
(Especially Orichalcos Kyutora and Orichalcos Mirror)

Well, the Earthbound Gods are a force to be reckoned with, but their main flaw is the need for a Field Spell Card. That's what makes them weak at the same time. And if you think Cusillu is too strong, check out the God - Chacu Challhua, and Ccapac Apu just looks cool.

Captain Fabio April 11th, 2009 3:09 AM

I know. The Earthbound Gods are just strong as hell.
Yes, the field card does make them a bit weaker, but still. XD

I do love Dartz's! I remember when I saw the cards in the anime. I was just thinking:

"MY GOD!" Hahaha!

Kaseo April 11th, 2009 4:24 AM

I agree. Earthbound Gods/Immortals are way too crazy strong. Some of em at least.

We are only talking about non-forbidden/limited cards right?

Eon-Rider April 11th, 2009 4:27 AM

I haven't been playing for forever now but three words; Pot of Greed.

Hahaha. That was a broken card. Draw two cards no cost!

The new Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon!
That changes the duel so much! ><

Blazers April 11th, 2009 6:50 AM

Ahh yes.

"For every face up monster you control on your side of the field, the monster equiped with this card gains 800 attack [and defense???]"

Haha, fun times. It isn't that insane now anyway. There are a lot better! ^.^

Kuriboh can be a lifesaver sometimes.

I haven't played in a long while either, but that Earthbound guy sounds like the Chuck Norris Card to me. Hmm... when I used to play, there was one card. Can't remember it's name, but it got 300+ attack for each monster in the graveyard, so I'd just purposely sacrifice my monsters for high defense monsters, then I'd summon that thing with 4200 (14 monsters in graveyard) attack or something, and my sister surrendered =D

The other one was Maha Valio (probably spelt it wrong; the monster with 1550 attack that gained 500 attack for each equip card you put on it). That thing was insane, especially with a ton of attack raising equip cards.

Dunno if either of these are forbidden/limited...

Shadow April 11th, 2009 11:39 AM

Eh hem. But yes, Pot of Greed is so nice.

I also love my Dark Master - Zorc when I'm lucky. *Coughs.* I haven't played/collected since the booster packs started being based on that horrid GX show, however. So I don't know what's new.

Captain Fabio April 11th, 2009 1:02 PM

Zorc is one of my favorite cards in the whole game.
It is so evil and fun it is untrue! XD

Nah, not forbidden/limited 'cause those cards suck now.

Corvus of the Black Night April 11th, 2009 2:55 PM

Ah, then the game has changed more than it seemed. It was great back 5 years ago when those were fun to have around XD

I agree.
Back then when we only had a few booster packs, it was funny.
A lot of the same decks, but it was fun.

However, I do like the decks all flying around now. More verity and you can really like you're own personal deck.

kohei April 12th, 2009 12:49 AM

Currently unbanned card eh?
DAD and CCV at the top for me.
Then followed by contenders which only need to be limited like Dark Dive, Gale etc.

Alter Ego April 12th, 2009 1:43 PM

Ehh...Earthbound Gods are just really clumsy and not all that scary at all, to be honest. And even if you want to talk Earthbounds, I can't help but to wonder why you chose what is arguably the weakest of them all as an example. How often does something with 2800 Atk that can't be declared as an attack target end up getting threatened by battle destruction? Seriously. ~~

Aslla Piscu is by far the most dangerous Earthbound right now, since it's the only one that punishes the effect removal that makes short work of its fellows, but even so, that field-dependence and their status as high-level mosnters without convenient special summon supports prevents them from making any serious impact.

As for the actually broken ones...

Judgment Dragon and Dark Armed Dragon come to mind. Both are just cheap weapons of mass destruction, really. Strict summoning requirements or no, they are still game-dominating terrors. In a land where X-Saber Airbellum exists, Rescue Cat is also rather extremely broken, and Summon Priest bears mentioning in the same context. Both offer you access to either quick synchro or a vast array of different monster effects. Though none of the individual ones are really that broken, besides possibly Gale of the Hurricane, I'd say Black Feathers are just pretty much over the top. Allure compatible, viable for Icarus Attack and viruses, recurable by Dark Eruption, and outfitted with pretty much every monster effect you'd care to name as well as easy thematic search/recursion and built-in special summons. Those got an incredible heap of abusable toys and more and more just keeps pouring in. Nope, do not really approve of those at all. << Demonic Roaring God Raven is also highly abusable since ruling allows free-reign for Dark Worlders and all other 'when this card is discarded' effects to go crazy.

Plenty of more where those things came from, but those would be the broken ones from the top of my head.

Lockmaster24 April 13th, 2009 4:55 AM

The most classic game breaker is:

MIRROR FORCE

Come on we all know it...

It is a pain

Best monsters on the field attack!!!

MIRROR FORCE

You lose...

This... is so true. But, then again... someone could just use a card like Harpy's Feather Duster and destroy ALL of your Magic/Trap cards and then attack.

Zowayix April 13th, 2009 11:23 AM

Especially in the anime when Mirror Force also does damage equal to your monster's total ATK.

The actual card does no damage, and only destroys attack position monsters.
And it's a Limited card (not Forbidden).

Captain Fabio April 19th, 2009 2:34 PM

One card that makes me cry is Crush Card!
It is so painful when you are setting up combos then someone does it!

GAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Yeah, find a guy who will pay for that, when you can use giant trunade(I think it's banned.) or heavy storm.

Xous April 20th, 2009 6:15 PM

Well, since I can't include Forbiddens on the list *coughCEDcoughBLS*, I'd have to agree totally with Alter Ego. (Oh, how I wish Chaos decks didn't have to go through so many ups and downs... But then again, of course they were broken. D: )
