is ralts considered rare?

i cought a ralts  YEAH! and a lotad, and why all of a sudden the big lotad spree? it isnt that flash... but i still caught it and trainin it

Simmons_2.0 September 17th, 2004 4:14 AM

yes it is considerd rare.

VanirElf September 17th, 2004 6:42 AM

the odds of a ralts appearing are like 4 % so I guess it is rare but I doubt it's considered a rare pokemon since practically everyone uses gardevoir in their teams at one point or another

Mr Cat Dog September 17th, 2004 6:59 AM

If rare means the appearances in the wild, then yes Ralts is rare. With odds of 4%, that sounds pretty darn rare to me. ^_^
If rare means actual appearances in battles, then not really. Lots of people use Gardevoir in their teams, with it's high special defense and whatnot.

AdamHays September 17th, 2004 8:30 PM

yeah ralts is rare, but an o.k pokemon only.

usami September 17th, 2004 8:33 PM

Ralts is not actuallt rare, I heard somewhere I think it was in my stratedgy guide, that Ralts will only appear if your Pokemon like you enough ^^(), don't go all postal on me if this not true, but I'm pretty sure it is.

Toothache September 17th, 2004 8:37 PM

Nope, the whole thing about Ralts appearing if you have happy Pokemon is just a rumour and nothing more, related to Ralts' Pokedex entry. There's no evidence at all to suggest it. Ralts has a fixed 4% chance of appearing, regardless of how much your Pokemon likes or dislikes you

Thomas September 17th, 2004 8:38 PM

Yes that is true...you have to get your pokemon to like you at the beginning of the game and if they like you more then more ralts will appear.

Edit...um..i thought what i said was true...now i am not really sure...i will look it up in the guide.

salamenceruler04 September 17th, 2004 8:42 PM

I always see ralts..but i dont like them so i dont ever catch them

Toothache September 17th, 2004 8:43 PM

Because of the Pokedex entry for Ralts, which suggests that it is happiest when trainers are happy, people have assumed that for some reason happiness affects whether or not they can be caught. To be honest, Ralts are no different in this respect to any other Pokemon (apart from the 4% chance), and thus happiness does not affect if they appear or not. It's all down to chance.

I don't believe they're rare. I have a PC box full of them! Maybe I'm catching them out of your games! That may be why some think it's rare!

EVA-01 September 18th, 2004 7:34 PM

lol i dont care! as long as i have it im happy

seraphim September 19th, 2004 1:56 PM

they don't seem rare to me...i find like 10 of them walking thru a 12-step field of grass... well, not that much, but it was one of the first 3 pokemon i caught, and i see them like, one out of 4-6

EVA-01 September 20th, 2004 2:46 AM

well hes so fine cept he starts with growl :'(

Pikawolf September 21st, 2004 1:28 PM

Yes, Ralts is a rare Pokemon to obtain. However, if you meant legendary, then no. Ralts is just your average, everyday Pokemon. With the exception of the fact that it's hard to find. ^_^;;

cranium September 27th, 2004 9:00 PM

ok whats all this about using gardevoir (however you spell it) in their team?
ive never even considered looking at its stats,
is it really a decent pokemon?
hmm im gonna go have a look at its base stats/move sets/tactics and what not.....

Frostweaver September 27th, 2004 9:09 PM

Very decent of a Pokemon indeed, with will o wisp and sychronize. It's also a good calm minder with a good initial special defense. Stick on psychic and thunderbolt for the standard. Or play around a bit with reflect/light screen, destiny bond and HP Special.

Not bad, not bad at all!

EVA-01 September 29th, 2004 5:32 AM

i caught it in emerald but i cant be bothered trainin it

Trainer Ben September 29th, 2004 6:06 AM

Here's what I think. There's two kinds of Pokemon: Rare and Legendary. Rare Pokemon are just hard to find and require a bit of patience. Legendary Pokemon are one of a kind and can always be found in one place. Ralts, i think, is considered rare, since it took me awhile to find it.

Actually, I found 12 ralts once, but only 2 of them were female. The first female I accidently fainted, but I caught the second.

Star Crossed Dreamer September 29th, 2004 6:12 AM

Yeah. Ralts is rare. I was playing Sapphire and it took me about 20 encounters before I saw even one Ralts.

EVA-01 September 30th, 2004 4:43 PM

i know its not legendary! coz legendarys are one time and ca always be caought in someway, but still its great to have a physic soo close @ da start
