What is there to do after.....

after the pokemon league?

I was upset at the fact all you can do it capture the legendaries, where as in FR, LG, R, S and E you can travel to the other regions. Does any-one know what else there is to do?

mystery913 April 16th, 2009 1:01 AM

Well that depends on the game if your talking about platinum you have the battle frontier and those other places. In D/P all you have is the battle tower which gets boring after awhile i guess

No you can't. In FR/LG, there were the islands, yes, but they were comparable in size to that island you gain access to after beating the Elite Four. R/S/E had nothing except a Battle Tower/Frontier.

Anyway, there is lots of other stuff to do:
  • Explore that island, the route to the right of the Pokémon League, Turnback Cave, and the Snowpoint Temple.
  • Capture four additional legendaries
  • Use the Pokéradar to chain shinies and catch more kinds of Pokémon
  • Participate in the Battle Tower/Frontier.
  • Breed Pokémon with egg moves, good stats and natures.
  • Contests
  • Battle your friends or anyone else over wi-fi
Enough to keep anyone busy for a while.

Don't we all love a hacker. And with Platinum, the Battle Frontier and a TON more legendaries, the fun keeps on going. Not to mention all the new WiFi features and events. You could even try for the 5 star trainer card.

To be fair, the Sevii Islands were called "Seven Islands Region" in Japan :/

So yes, FR/LG DID have a second region

If you dont have Wi-Fi, any and all side quests you can do after the league is ALL you can do. You can try and find the Griseous Orb for Giratina's Origin form, catch both temporal and spacial dragons, get heatran and fight gym leaders over and over.

Its actually a lot despite how fast it gets old.

Nice work, now no one will battle you.

Psyburn April 30th, 2009 6:34 AM

Can't blame sootom.

Trying to get beldum? Insanity.

zerwey April 30th, 2009 7:11 AM

You could try to buy all the items in the Villa (though it would cost over 1 million PokeDollars xP).

BlueEew April 30th, 2009 7:32 AM

Ignore those who say "Hack".

If you have only completed the Leauge then you have lots more to do. You see the Pokemon slogan is Gotta Catch Em All. Now like me, instead of trading with hundreds of people online and getting clones and hacked Pokemon. Catch em all yourself, 100 % legit, and before anyone says: Yes It Is Possible.

It takes at least 200 hours to Catch 'Em All. :( I tried it but gave up =/

But isn't Ash still trying?

Psyburn April 30th, 2009 7:48 AM

Not at all.

Infact, he's just going for 8 badges so he can lose again...

Hey, I did it on my Diamond without cheating. Except for Arceus, Shaymin and Darkrai. =/ But back then I thought hacking was cool.

Second Coming of Jebus April 30th, 2009 8:43 AM

Not really much to do without Wi-Fi tbh, there's some things, but not enough to keep you busy for longer than 2 weeks if you don't play all day. Get into competitive battling, alot to do there (Wi-Fi btw) :D

I would kinda disagree on the competitive battling piece. While it would increase replay value, it would turn what you used to know as "fun little kaiju monster fights" into "college level yugioh".

ss501girl April 30th, 2009 9:39 AM

can you fight the gyms in dimond over and over again?

Psyburn April 30th, 2009 9:47 AM

Only in Platinum's Battleground

Actually since Nintendo has not released any official information on Arceus, it is technically possible to catch each 492 Pokémon. (try and look for the 493 entry in the pokedex, its not there.)

Zelda April 30th, 2009 11:15 AM

Well in Pokemon Platinum you can go in the battle frontier which is pretty fun, and you don't really get bored there along with the pokemon plaza if you have wifi. ^^

In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl...I have no clue what you can do there that is better than Pokemon Platinum. >.>

Lol, I know what you mean. Only suggesting it though. Told all my friends about it, and they all started playing again, alot. Wouldn't be a bad idea to get into it if alot of your friends play it, good fun.

Zelda May 1st, 2009 2:02 PM

You can also enter contests if your interested in them. Keep busy by making a team for it.

gigaEmpoleon May 1st, 2009 2:52 PM

go for catching em all or get into competetive battling. cattching them all would keep you buisy for a VERY long time and with competetive battling you just gotta fight as many people as possible and get a very good team.
