Does chaining increase the chances for a shiny?
I know the chance of encountering a shiny in the wild is something like 1/8000 and I also know that the chance to encounter a shiny by using the PokeRadar uses a formula of its own. My question is, is this PokeRadar formula any different than the normal shiny chance?
Since the formula depends on the length of the chain, the chance of encountering a shiny seems to improve as the chain gets longer. So if the length of the chain is 1, is the percent chance to encounter a pokemon more, less, or equal to the normal chance? If it's a less chance, is there a point when the chance actually becomes *less* than the normal wild chance? Hope that question made sense. Thanks. |
i dont believe it changes the percentages of catching a shiny i think its just leads you into the right direction in a way... lol idk but i dnt think it raises the percentage

After about 40 pokemon in a chain, shiny patches begin to appear, so yes, it is increased. Sort of.

Yes change it to the wierd poke app with the kind of podium on then keep chainging and eventually it'll come up. I think that it's around 30 pokemon, that a shiny comes up. :D

It's 42. Once you reach 42, that's about when you start seeing shiny patches.
