[Revived] How long does it take you to EV train??

15 Mins, 30 Max. Very easy stuff, just using Vitamins and then Power Item + PKRS. Takes longer to EV train in SpD and Def though.

msdmario April 25th, 2009 12:23 PM

No more than an hour for me. As other people have mentioned, it really depends on the spread as well as the stats I'm training for. If it is something like Sp. Atk it would take a lot shorter time to do thanks to Gastly and its evolutions in the Old Chateau.

dotKarma April 25th, 2009 12:28 PM

Depends on what I'm training, the spread, and the difference between Pokemon in the area. Most of the time less than an hour, though

Akeraz April 25th, 2009 3:00 PM

Depends on the spread.
It usually takes me around an Hour and a Half..
But that's because I'm usually multitasking at the same time.

"Shadow Lugia" April 25th, 2009 6:08 PM

It usually takes about an hour and a half. I don't bother buying vitamins, and I've never been lucky enough to get Pokerus.

Extric April 25th, 2009 6:17 PM

With PKRS I can finish the EV training in about an hour and without maybe an hour and a half. The part that takes the longest is the breeding for the right natures and IVs (sometimes the abilities) and sometimes I get picky about what gender I want.

hi. i tried ev training but whenever i consume carbos, it doesnt really seems to give me the correct stats boost.

if im not wrong, 4ev=1 stats. since ea carbos gives 10 evs, doesnt it means that i should receive at least 2 stats boost per carbo fed?

that doesnt seems to be the case however.. i usually get 1 or nthing..

SkittyLover77 April 26th, 2009 7:09 AM

Hmm...I have tried before EV training a Shiny Luxray, but it's much too tedious for me. I got bored quickly. x.x

ShadowSkitty94 April 26th, 2009 8:16 AM

Well, EV training takes patience. But, it takes me a while.

After all. Patience is a virtue.

my friend EV trains my Pokemon for me and it takes him about 60 minutes to do so or possibly more

Ellie May 2nd, 2009 9:45 AM

Not long with the items. But sometimes I lose count... then that kinda sucks :/

That's because you will see the additional stat boost at level 100, don't forget about that. EV training will be shown at level 100.

As for me, I actually haven't done a lot of EV training, although I know a lot about it. But I recently got PKRS from a friend, and I have the Power Items/Macho Brace, so I assume it will take less than 30-40 minutes. c:
Once I get real good at it though, maybe 15-20 minutes?

Danus May 2nd, 2009 11:52 AM

It takes me 1 hour max to fully EV train. EV items and PKRS does the Trick :D

MetalMario May 2nd, 2009 11:54 AM

On GenIII, I could EV within one hour without using any vitamins. (They are too expensive.)

Since there aren't really any good EV spots in D/P/P, it takes me longer, usually an hour and a half or more to EV train.

Why didn't they put any proper EV spots in D/P/P? Like, the places where you always gain one EP in a single stat by battling low-level wild Pokémon. Did they think the Pokéradar superseded them? Because it doesn't.

World King May 2nd, 2009 12:26 PM

I remember when I used to take 20, 25 mins to do so. Now, with some new methods I know (and some of you know), I can get a Pokémon EVTrained faster than I typed this post xD

Zelda May 2nd, 2009 12:48 PM

Well it depends. If I have enough money to buy the things like proteins then that would usually boost up my speed of EV training.
If I don't have enough money, I'll take a slower time.

The power items are also very helpful.

Vie May 3rd, 2009 3:03 AM

it usually takes me 30 mins - 1 hour. depends on the pokemon.

Zelda May 3rd, 2009 6:28 AM

It does depend on what I am EV training.

If it is a pokemon like Blissey, and takes long then it'll take me very long.

If it is something like Pachirisu then I am good to go, very easy.

TwilightBlade May 3rd, 2009 7:56 AM

Usually 30 minutes with pkrs+vitamins+power items, but I'm lazy, so I may force ask a friend to do it. :3

Zelda May 3rd, 2009 10:31 AM

Let me just add in it'll take me a lot faster if the pokemon has pokerus. Most of my pokemon that I EV have pokerus. :x

Яiolu. May 3rd, 2009 11:07 AM

With All The Items And Vitimins It Usally Takes No Longer Than An Hour And A Half.

Яiolu.

Kaseo May 3rd, 2009 11:43 AM

Ugh omg, I was EV training Wobbuffet the other day and it took FOREVER XD

Rasengan May 3rd, 2009 2:06 PM

It takes me about an hour to EV train one Pokemon. I hardly get Pokerus, so that could be part of the problem, but it only takes a few days to finish a team.

Zelda May 3rd, 2009 2:28 PM

Macho Brace seems to help me as well, although I use the power items more.

El Héroe Oscuro May 3rd, 2009 4:41 PM

Mainly about an hour for me. It takes me awhile to Ev Train in Attack now that the spot I used for Eving in Diamond was moved. I was pretty bummed :/
